Omgosh!! This is the intro theme I've been looking for! I watched this so long ago, that recently, I went online and watched Superman again. I've been waiting for this theme to come up in the Superman TAS intro, but it never did. lol I never knew the show I was watching was actually the Supes/Bats not Superman TAS

I don't think it's just a dying out of creativity, but economic circumstances as well. I know for certain that the recession in 2000 and these current economic times have hit many studios hard, and they have been buckling down lately. Moreso than before, they focus on programs that can sell toys and merchandise than one of engaging storyline and characters, although cartooons like ATLA, Samurai Jack, JLU still shone, some were cancelled to be replaced by shows for merchandising reasons.
