Okay, it reminds me a teeny bit of the Sony Bravia ads, but to be honest it's unique in its own right (if that makes sense). Still should've been in the final. Even though I kinda like the eventual winning advert, I would've preferred and enjoyed to have seen this ad on the TV, good work.

All i have seen from you two in your newly made accounts [gummerbaby & burndowntinseltown] is constant slating of most of the good adverts on this competition. I think this advert is great and clearly took a lot of time and effort.

Seen this type of stop motion animation done so many times in other ads, been done bigger and better, large orange whales disappearing into pavements springs to mind.

I imagine Doritos would prefer an idea that's a bit less used in the advert world

yes, we noticed that aswel, the video was edited to 29 seconds and it actually ends on 29 seconds but says :30 on the counter for some reason

We had to get clearance from a few more people compared to when we shot the Recycle ad, but for the most part it went pretty smoothly. Security were brilliant, they'd lock us in at 10 each night and let us get on with it. As long as we moved everything back by 6 in the morning it was all good.

Marvelous job ! must have taken forever to make, it is TRULY a work of art in itself but a few points already made do hold true

1, Many people WILL see this and think "Sony"

2, The Art outweighs the important message, i.e go and buy some Doritos

3, The overal message I get is a positive one but it doesn't necessarily accord with Doritos Brand personality

Woah, this is awesome! I doubt similarities to other ads are a problem. Look at car ads, they're all pretty much exactly the same, and just coz this is (or appears to be) stop motion, doesn't mean it "can land doritos in trouble". I like the bit where the camera spins. Makes me think of the Matrix. Oh no, maybe Warner Brothers will sue too...

I really like this video. I like they way the fish are made from doritos.

It looks like a lot of time and thought has gone into it.

I also think the comparisons to the sony advert are a bit unfair. If sony made rabbits out of TV's then maybe, but they haven't.

All in all, a very good attempt. Certainly one of the better made videos i have seen recently.
