90% of my calls are 1) old person sat down and can't get up out of the chair 2) drunk person wants a ride someplace 3) drunk street person wants a free meal and place to sleep (hospital) 4) fake domestic violence call where no one is injured but the woman wants the man out of the house 5) "migraine" that needs demerol but not sumitriptan 6) drunk teen chick who can't face parents so she says she was "slipped a roofie" 7) old person who is lonely 8) fat person can't sit up off the toilet
It's the same all over. Queensland Australia as well. I love this series of videos. Perfectly insightful. Should be used as educational/community information material.
Reading the comments here it seems there is a global pandemic. Is stupidity contagious? They are concerned about biological terror, ebola, anthrax, bird flu yadda yadda yadda.... But if they can eventually turn us all into morons it'll be like taking candy from a baby to invade our countries! I'm not a medic but as a cop near Toronto Ontario I go to a lot of calls ith our EMS and am grateful I chose that job instead of paramedic. You guys need tasers.
Back in the day we used to tell these kind of ass-holes to pack sand. Now the department charges for transport so we have to transport them and hear a load of shit from the nurses for bringing these Gomers in to the ER. I now feel like an over trained cab driver.
@TheJazzie64 I work in a suburb of Washington D.C. / Virginia side of the Potomac river. The people there are very helpless and call us for the dumbest things? You know they are mostly collage educated with plenty of money but they act like self entitled children? I don't know weather to feel sorry for them or embarrassed for them? Job security i guess?
I deal with this crap also, but I hear of other counties nearby me are actually calling the police on these people and getting them fined or arrested. I think we all need to push for this type of action.
