in case anyone didn't know, this is based off of the book pride and prejudice... so for those who say it's without a plot, read the book because it fills in some of the gaps.

Every film has a plot A B C a beginning middle and end. What's inside of the plot is the story and yes this movie has a story. You can't compare it to the other adaptations because it's not supped to be. It's just a light hearted comedy. As for the comparison with Bridget Jone's Diary.  BJD had around 26-30mill budget where as this film had around $350k. They did great with that bud more than movies with high budgets in Hwood.

I think Lydia is the best character. I love the fact she never married, and she's also the driving force behind the group. I'm afraid I'm a fair-weather Austen fan--I like this version better than any of the traditionals! (giggles guiltily)
