@navonab It seems like when Bono is able to rest his voice for long periods he is at his best. During his world tours his voice always seems to struggle from the constant back to back nights of rehearsals and performances. Take for example , when he did the SNL show in 2004 and did this song. It was by far the best I have heard and for some reason I suppose copy right laws , It is not on you tube.You tube can go to hell! lol But seriously, If you are able to see it, its great!

It's a 1960's Rickenbacker 12-string, and trust me it's a 12-string. It has six standard tuners and six slotted head stock tuners that you can't see from the front.

If you want a similar sound without the huge price tag you can try something like a $350 Dean Boca, they have a little more power than a Rick though.
