As I see it, RP wants to abolish the Fed anyway. Auditing it first is probably just his way to raise awareness of the problem in the general public and in congressmen, so they eventually get aware of the problem at all.

This man has been fighting the Fed for years - singlehandedly most of the time with only few allies, so you cant blame him as propagandist I guess.
