the ST makes 151 horsepower......yeah its a real tire shredder huh? it makes 151 from a 2.3....thats piss poor, even for ford. even riced honda civics can do better than that. the fact that it has a 2.3 litre 4 cylinder (its actually called the ZEtec engine....way to try and nab some sales credit to honda...) should tell you it isn't made to perform...its made to sell. and apparently some people believe what ford tells you.
The engine is a derivative of the Volvo T5 engine, which has a displacement of 2500cc. The power is also 225. Don't let the facts get in the way of you not having a fucking clue of what you're talking about.

The Focus RS has been on Top Gear several times, actually. They tested it against the Golf R32 and Alfa 147GTA. And raced it against the old Escort Cosworth rally car (Focus RS won).
the NEW focus makes 225...but clarkson never tested that did he? no. and lets say he did, it would post a slower time than the one he actually tested. why? do you know what torque steer is? putting that much horsepower on a front wheel drive car, means youre going nowhere but in circles.

Most of those complaints he listed arent even important.
Back seats: who cares at that price.
Small boot: very common at that price.
Flappy paddles: not rare anymore.
Pedals being too close: wear thin shoes.
Actually my only complaint is the price, on eBay there like over 250k which is too much for a V8 making less than 500HP.

Im a Proud owner of a 147 GTA MONZA and like he says there are flaws with alfas no matter what you will love the feeling it gives you, But what i would like to see is the 8c given a fair chance at a real time in the dry.

Because it's in Britain and rain is the most typical weather they have there.
And since this is the biggest motoring show in the world, they have a sharp schedule which they have to stick to. You can't wait for dry weather, when you got some footage to take.

I've figured out why you're being an idiot.
You're getting confused with the Focus ST-1 and the Focus ST-2. The ST-2 is the one we're talking about, which was named the 'ASBO' in the Top Gear Power board.
Search for the Top Gear Focus ST review and see for yourself. The ST-1 didn't come in the 'ASBO' orange.

i just noticed you said "marketing" OF COURSE. now i know the problem. you fell for the marketing. a company will tell you anything is "sporty" if it will get them off showroom floors. i've seen the chrysler cross country minivan marketed as "sporty". if you fell for this and bought one they must've really seen you coming. the sad reality is, the focus is NOOOOOOOT a performance car by any means, thats probably why its slow as fuck and ugly as hell...

the ST makes 151 horsepower......yeah its a real tire shredder huh? it makes 151 from a 2.3....thats piss poor, even for ford. even riced honda civics can do better than that. the fact that it has a 2.3 litre 4 cylinder (its actually called the ZEtec engine....way to try and nab some sales credit to honda...) should tell you it isn't made to perform...its made to sell. and apparently some people believe what ford tells you.

The engine is a derivative of the Volvo T5 engine, which has a displacement of 2500cc. The power is also 225. Don't let the facts get in the way of you not having a fucking clue of what you're talking about.

It's amazing when someone who thinks they are being so clever can't even get the engine size / BHP right. Tool.

the ST does not make 225 horsepower. ill gladly redirect you to any number of sources. the ford focus is rated at 170 horsepower....but it doesnt make that. it makes around 150 horsepower. obviously its YOU who doesnt know what the fuck he's talking about. the only focus making over 200 horsepower is the RS...and that one has never been on the show. youre a moron, you don't know what youre talking about yet you think you do, and youre obviously pissed that the focus you bought is shit. tosser.

The Focus RS has been on Top Gear several times, actually. They tested it against the Golf R32 and Alfa 147GTA. And raced it against the old Escort Cosworth rally car (Focus RS won).

the NEW focus makes 225...but clarkson never tested that did he? no. and lets say he did, it would post a slower time than the one he actually tested. why? do you know what torque steer is? putting that much horsepower on a front wheel drive car, means youre going nowhere but in circles.
