  • Sorry to the Robin fans, but I love villains! And I think Robin would've been better off as Joker and Harley's Little JJ >:3

  • From 2:06 to 2:40 you can hear Harley Quinn singing her song like in the credits of Arkham City.

  • @XIXBeastXIX

Arkham City was actually written by the same people who wrote this, so it makes sense.

  • omfg joker and harls are SOOO cute! Aw, if only robin WAS their son...<3

  • Robin turned back but was traumatized and led a life not knowing he was Robin and soon once his father told him this he became a new Batman.

  • @secret2671

    not in this continuity

  • What I don't get is how did Tim Drake's head get bigger when before it was small. Is it because of the hair?

  • What a sad video.

  • JJ laughs like Terry

  • robin shoots Joker

    Joker: thats not funny... uh

oh what the heck ill laugh anyway laoalasdfasdfHAHAH

  • 8:41 I honestly can't tell if he's crying because of what he's done, or because he can't take anymore of what's happened to him. Poor Tim...

  • @Ormagoden

    both

  • In batman the killing joke (best comic ever) barbra gordon is shot by the joker and is paralyzed thats how we get the oracle in batman arkham asylum and arkham city

  • Uncut is the way to go, but i still remember seeing uncut when i was younger. No idea how.

  • Batman was meaning to kill at 4:42. There was no chance of just knocking him out with that.

  • I just love how Batgirl just comforts Tim "Its ok, Tim, Its ok" :( shes my favorite

  • what happen to robin was he alright again?

  • @liveforeverjr1 he quit

  • they manage to turn robin back right? right?!

  • mark hamils laughter will haunt my nightmares forever

  • Joker is so scary here! I mean he was always sort of creepy in the DCAU but this is up to the levels of insanity the Killing Joke joker had...

  • this is definitely one of my favorite animated movies of all time, and the scene at the end always hits me hard. Why can't cartoons be as powerful and emotional as this anymore?

  • Really? How many times have Joker and Batman had a final confrontation? I can name a few time......

  • @TheSamAndrewEvans Arkham City being the latest...

  • when the older form of barbera said that arkham had moved to a higher security zone that makes me think that arkham city was envolved

  • 3:17 I actually tough that that was blood O.o

  • I thought joker was electrocuted?

  • @MrDestroyer893 that's the "censored" version

  • This is probably why its best that Batman works alone.

No really amazing that Batman becomes pissed, what joker did, those 2 are litterly almost like batmans kids and family.

Atleast the joker finally got what he deserved.

  • 4:40 Shows how angry that made Batman. He nearly broke his killing rule with that knife.

  • so what happened to tim, then? did he stay like that?

  • @kally598 No, it took years of therapy but eventually Tim overcame it and lived a rather normal life, though the Joker had put his entire being into a chip and had that chip wired into Tim's brain so that he could one day come back, and do what he's always done, and actually did.

  • @5Ghost8Dragon3 thank you :)

  • @kally598 No problem

  • Ouch, joker landed on the flag

  • This show was. It's sad every time I watch the reordered re-runs on the Hub I realize never again will we ever see a show as good as this one was.

  • I liked the batman tas more then the Batman New adventures, mostly cause there wasn't much Bruce Wayne in the new ones.

  • All this take place after the last season of JLU

  • How awesome would it be if a live-action version of this movie was made

  • @Shiek927 it was originally planned to, but the idea for Batman Begins was pushed in front of it :/

  • With Nolan's movies coming to an end, the idea of live-action Batman Beyond should be pursued :)

  • This movie is so good... It's really a shame that animation is regarded as kiddie stuff.

  • That's not funny. That's not...

  • 1:04 the blonde woman and the left looks like the Black Canary

  • If 64 people don't like the video, I've got slides.

  • @link3kokiri LMAO!!!!!!!!

  • "if you dont like the movie , i got slides " lolololz

  • SO GREAT!

  • "Oh, what the heck I'll laugh anyway, NAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA!!!" :'D

  • Comment removed

  • HAHAHA, i thought the joker always wanted to make batman laugh!!!!!

  • what??? i thought joker dead by power election

  • @MIKEQUINONEZ There 2 versions

  • i see i get it

  • @MIKEQUINONEZ this version is the violent version. The other one you were talking about was the less-violent one

  • @supercj12 That was the censored version for television but I was confused too the first time I saw this so I know the feeling.

  • Wait a minute, I last time i saw this movie, the joker was electricuted trying to turn on his machine while covered in water?

  • And people think that the Joker from The Dark Knight was a psycho. I really like how dark these Batman cartoons are.

    *The Batman*

Okay, how dark most of them were.

  • R.I.P. Joker.

  • i love this part in the movie it is so good

  • batman: i just felt like robin being caught by the joker was my fault

alfred: well you did let him patrol the roof tops in sight of dangerous villians on his own at night

batman: alfred you have been a real ass ever since michael caine played you in the dark knight

    alfred: what?

    batman: never mind

  • One thing batman beyond was missing were villains like the Joker :/.

  • @DisneyClassicmusic

Beyond had every possible villain from the original two seasons of the show!

  • @qwuezalothus Scarecrow, Riddler, Penguin, Two-face? Villains like that? Also would've been cool if they built up the return of the joker movie in the series.

  • @DisneyClassicmusic

They purposly never told this, so this mising story can be the potential of an animated movie.

  • @qwuezalothus Yea, but they could have built up the hype by showing some small details. W/E though it's just an idea.

  • thts not how the joker actually died

  • The Joker is the best comic book villain of all time.

  • 1st of all if joker died how did Barbara became Oracle and while she was Batgirl was she part of the Justice League?

  • These Batman stories are all so confusing =S

  • Bruce Wayne: (to Terry) I used to be a crime fighter like you, then I took a knife in the knee.

  • Comment removed

  • This is just messed up.

  • Where did you get this viersion I only have the tape.... IM OLD T.T

  • I like how the whole "super villian laugh" fits in while Joker's personality and it's not just something stupid.

  • Hearing Harley sing as the two enter the Asylum made me think of the Dead Space games for some reason XD

  • did robin return to normal??? and did he look normal again, not like a clown?

  • @billywhite1231998 He did but you need to watch Batman Beyond "The return of the Joker". The movie is good and kind of sad. The joker put a genetic mark on Tim so he could be come him. It explains a lot of what happen with the joker.

  • 64 people are jokers...

  • i use to be like batman , until i took a knife to the knee

  • Shit just realised thats what harley sings at the end of arkham city gulp(oh and in the game if you go back theres a pregnancy test that says positive)

  • "What's the matter, Batman? No witty comeback? No threat? Then I'll provide the narraration."

To me that is undoubtedly the most chilling line in any Batman animation, at least the DCAU, and I can't off the top of my head thing of any line in any of the live action films that came close to it. The DCAU tops any of the live action movies anyway.

  • Too bad none of this ever became cannon. Of course now with the new 52, Joker's running around without a face...well his old face.....i suppose that's one way to say goodbye...leave your bloody face skin....completely intact btw...

  • @NeoStrife23 actually many batman fans consider most of the beyond universe cannon

  • Pretty crazy how Tara Strong went from voicing Batgirl to Harley Quinn.

  • @blackflame100

    OMG...

    SHUTUP!!!

  • @blackflame100 its an arrow, not a knife. i kno ur trying to make a joke out of it with a meme, but it doesnt work. -_-

  • @xboxgamerJ16 Thank you

  • @blackflame100 Oh, Please. You took a knife to the knee. Batman took a bullet to the parents.

  • @loopyfists he used to be a kid like us, until he took a bullet to the parents

  • @loopyfists you've obviously never played skyrim

  • For the 64 people who didn't like the movie, I've got slides ;)

  • 64 people did not want to see the slides

  • 5:46 Dear God, what was the plunger used for?

  • @larry123738 all things considered, i dont even wanna know! :,(

  • Tbh I liked the idea of a brainwashed Robin. Too bad they didn't run with it for another episode; JJ would've made an awesome villain

  • The Batgirl/Harley fight had one of the best one-liners: "Sweetie, go get Mommy's bazooka!"

  • but... but... i always though joe jackson was michael jacksons dad, not the joker.

  • Can AnyOne Tell Me What Happend To Robin Did He like Die Or What Happend He Become Good Again?

  • @christhesk8ter He had to go through a year of therapy to be able to handle what happened. And even then it would be hard on him. Robin gave up being a sidekick after that

  • this is my favorite batman related thing to ever be put on film. even besting the dark knight. it's ten minutes of everything that is batman and the joker distilled into raw, brutal, emotional awesome.

  • I'm confused. Wasn't Barbra paralyzed? Wasn't Tim Drake made Robin waay after she was paralyzed? Or did they tweak this to make it fit with the animated series?

  • @kiikat The animated series exists as its own universe seperate from that of the comics.

  • @SoulRaiderRebel Okay thanks :P

For the sake of sorting things out in my own mind I wish there was some canon all-truthful reality, but I realise guess that's impossible with all of the different exposure these characters get.

  • thank you so much for uploading this! I really appreciate the people that post these things. I know some people might say it's outside of your rights to share this on youtube, but honestly, if anything, this makes me want to buy the product more. When a product is of high quality, it pays to let stuff like this go by. Any company that would have this removed would be foolish- they'd be basically suing someone for advertising their product for FREE! Now, that's just not smart business, is it?

  • 9:13 *FACEPALM*

  • 7:33 that explains the cane then

  • this fucking terrified me when I was a kid,

  • I miss shows like this. Dark. Gritty. Brutal.

Now the most popular cartoons are adventure time and all the other bullshit that is modern day television

  • @fumblefree What you talking about Adventure time is extremely dark the show takes place after the end of the world and many of the characters are implied to be mutants and or demons and in one episode one of the characters was possessed by the equivalent of the devil that is very dark in my book

  • Batman Beyond return of the joker movie ahhhh memories

  • Comment removed

  • What is the name of this? I think I remember it from one time when I walked into the living room a while ago. I remember thinking what the heck and walking out

But then again that was before I liked batman

  • Also, since so many traits skip a generation....it just makes so much more sense than that they were not related to the Joker.

  • Where did the writers say that the Dee Dee twins are NOT the Joker's Grandkids? I see that referenced around, but I've never seen a quote.

Watching this, and knowing Harley from previous episodes, it seems clear that she and Joker had probably "tried", and that abduction was more of a backup plan. Add that to knowing she survived the fall (and with it raining, probably into a pool of water), there is no barrier to the theory that the Dee Dee's are the Joker's grandkids as well as Harley's.

  • its so hard to tell which series is the right one in this joker is dead for a long time but in others he naturally grows old

  • sooo... joker died !!??

  • @shellshock10 Yep. In fact, he dies twice.

  • @iSamPuckett so does ehreally die in the series like definetly??

  • @shellshock10 Yeah

  • creepy

  • Nevermind, as it turns out the tie in comic retcons which Robin leads the Teen Titans, they decided to go with the original Robin from the old comics, which is crap. They did a good job setting up Tim Drake and instead go with Dick Grayson. In the Batman/Static Shock crossover they even explain that Robin (Drake) went off to join the Titans. What crap.

  • I wish batgirl appeared in JLU

  • Jesus.... this is "Killing Joke" levels of fucked-up.

  • ...the saddest and most increadable moment in history....

    *sob*

im not supposed to cry when the bad guy dies, i know.

    BUT I LOVED THE JOKER!

    who didnt????

  • @timburtonrules101

Joker was a good villain but seeing what he did to Robin really disgusted me. He deserved to die for that.

  • @coralin378 i can totaly understand that. but... you didnt know...

he didnt actually die. hes alive. :O im not lieing! the joker returns! he does!

its impossable but im okay with that!

  • @timburtonrules101

um yeah I know that, I watched the movie already. It still pisses me off. Not only did Joker torture poor Tim, he had to embed his thoughts into Tim's body like a parasite. Good thing Terry finally destroyed that chip.

  • if you had the guts for that kind off fun, you would have done it years ago! i, on the other hand.,.

is it just me or does it sound like he 'made ha-ha' with harley?

  • why don't they allow darker cartoons on tv anymore i remember when i was a kid creepy scenes in cartoons were the best

  • This is one of the most evil animated things I've ever seen.

  • i just love how this is a really dark cartoon for kids, u dnt get that anymorre and how they show batman getting pissed... great just great

  • I want to download this off the xbox marketplace but can anyone make sure if it's the uncut or edited version? I won't waste 1200 MSP if it's edited.

  • Is it just me or is one of the those 2 girls that batgirl is talking to, the blonde one on the left, looked just like Black Canary from the JLU series. I know I'm probably stating the obivious but I never seen the uncensored version (got it when it first came out and never heard of an uncensored but did sense it was censored especially with the joker punching the batman.)

  • quite right poop

  • so if this movie follows the story of the animated series then why is barbara not in a wheelchair

  • So does it go in the order for Robin: 1st - Dick Grayson, 2nd - Jason Todd, 3rd - Tim Drake? Or is that the wrong order.

  • @redwolfxl69 Nah, you've got it right. Couple new people have been added but that's the standard for anybody to know now.

  • It's really sad what ended up happening to Harley. Look at her in "Harlequinade" and "Harley's Holday": perky, upbeat, capable of remorse, constantly struggling to earn a normal life, even showing glimmers of heroism at times. Now look at her here: vicious, remorseless, and deranged. All those years trying to please her "puddin" really did a number on her. Sure shes alive at the end of the movie, but she had to live her whole life with her actions...

  • @iSamPuckett Well she grew old and her kids had kids so im gonna say she's alright lol.

  • @iSamPuckett Come to think of it, it makes me wonder what Ivy would think if she saw Harley in that mental state

  • @picknana I was wondering that, too. I think she'd probably kill Joker.

  • a tear had fallen when the Corpse of the funniest guy in the world fell down on the floor. and he did it without a smile.... Nevermore..

  • LMAO from 4:42

  • One of the hookers kinda looks like Black Cannary doesn't it?

  • lmfao at 5:46 with the plunger full of shit

  • whats up with the japan or china sub titles

  • this had my fav. design of joker, made him so evil his laugh was EPIC and is like come try me batman

  • I cracked up when I rewinded this a couple times and I noticed Batman BITCHSLAP Joker at 6:55.

  • 2:06 Batman was so pissed, he kicked open a steel door. STEEL. Do not underestimate Batrage.

  • Although the death of the Joker in the censored version is not as dramatic, makes their defeat during the fight with Terry is a reflection of the first with Tim, again being electrocuted.

  • That blonde hooker looked like Black Canary.

  • One of the women Batgirl talks to looks like BLack Canary.

  • To be honest, this was the only thing that actually made me care about that Batman Beyond film... or Batman Beyond in general really.

  • U know for kids XD

  • Wait! So is the Joker in Batman Beyond actually Tim Drake?

  • it's so FUCKED UP how Joker tortured a kid for information. I felt so bad for Tim :(

  • I love how at 5:10 the joker gracefully leaps over the fake wall set, then batman like a hardcore badass angry man, smashes the entire set down. That's something i'd expect to see someone like superman, bane, or killer croc do.

  • Killed by a joke he didn't get, how fitting. God bless Paul Dini!

  • FUCK THIS SHIT! The Joker dying is NEVER funny.

  • so what happens to robin?

  • Joker 4:43..."come at me, bro"

  • What series was this Batman and robin and batgirl from please

  • 1:04 is that Black Canary? :o

  • This is my absolute favourite design for the joker.

Shame it only really appeared in this movie.

  • @Elssuh and in the justice league too

  • @Elssuh it also appeared in the justice league show then joker showed up on some

  • @Elssuh Its in JL/JLU

  • @Elssuh It was used in the Justice League

  • @Elssuh

Isn't the Joker who appears in Justice League tv series the same design?

  • @Elssuh Ok, guys, I've been told enough - I now know it's also the design for Justice League. No need to reply multiple times.

  • Awesome stuff. Mark Hamill does a great Joker voice.

  • so Tim never gets better from this? is that how Tim ends it as Robin? im talking about comic wise too not just the series. what happens to him after this? and can somebody explain to me how in batman beyond the return of the joker, joker is able to jump high run fast as if he is still young but bruce is too old and busted to keep up. somebody told me once that it wasnt joker and that it was really tim who had comeback but i didnt believe that.

    id appreciate anyone's help.

  • @k1n63d This never happened in the comics, although it's loosely based on the death of Jason Todd, the second Robin. Tim in the comics became Red Robin, I believe. And I assume Joker's DNA chip thing transforms the host into the Joker at the same age he was when he made it. Plus he has the advantage of Tim's training. Did you actually watch the movie?

  • @wmooring

ill have to see it again. i saw it once but didnt understand it too well or i didnt pay enough attention. (im an idiot like that sometimes) and i never looked into it. so what you are telling me.. thats NOT joker and thats actually brainwashed Tim...right?

  • @wmooring

scratch that last thing i said. i bought the movie after i replied to you and saw it from start to finish. i get it now. awesome movie. i dont think i ever saw it whole. when it first came out i must have only seen part of it and said id get around to the rest but never did. a lot of it i had never seen before so i see why i didnt understand it. thanks for your help man. just glad you didnt rip me a new one. lol people on here tend to insult like crazy just for asking a question. lol
