  • skeme sampled this

  • i love this movie!

  • VIDEO DEDICATED TO YOUTUBER TRK387 !

  • I want to punch the person who disliked this

  • Gonna tell you a story in stereo, 'bout the pimpin' game that you should know.

  • YUP, STRONGER CHARACTERS THAN SUPERFLY IN THIS FLICK

  • the Chronic

  • Epic dialogue. So fucking timeless, so fucking true.

  • was the guy on the left later star on magnum pi?

  • @pele6922 That does look like that guy. Now I remember! I think you're right!

  • That was deep. Soul-searching. On a lighter note though... doesn't The Mack (Max Julien, aka "Goldie") look a lot like Jackie Jackson of the Jackson 5?! Damn.

  • NIGGAZYOUCRAZYYYYYY?????

  • @soSpecialkay

They wake up one mornin' with some money, and they subject to go crazy, ya know,

  • ...magnum pi...

  • Capitalism is not synonomous with exploitation. It means risking one's capital to make a profit. And the Mack's brother should have visited him in prison. Maybe he should have rode the AC Transit like Goldie did in the movie.

  • 1:42 someones outside

  • 141 likes zeroe dislikes..the way it should be

  • REAL MOTHERFUCKIN RAPP In essence goldy had to learn the hard way by taking the wrong path that resulted in the deaths of his own mother and best friend and then he finally realized that his brother was right. This whole movie is powerful and real and tells what happens when we choose self indulgence instead of true joy in life. I told my friend in jail that I knew mor about the game than he does. Even though I was never a pimp or dealer as he is I told him YOU DONT PLAY A GAME WITH YOUR LIFE !!

  • @cimism610 real shit bruh

  • Nigga iz you crazy?

    *cue song*

  • Had the opportunity to chill wit The incomparable May julian @ Suga Free's Video shoot!! it was a blast!!

  • What movie's this from? And what the mack brother says is not true. there were black role models who suceeded, in the arts sportsin the professions. certainly not enough, but what left were the Judeo/Christian values. I'm not a Christian but it's apropos to say what matters to win the world (material success) if you lose your soul? (Values/character)

  • @xxbingo not many that brothas from the GUTTA could relate to tho

  • @xxbingo the movie called the mack

  • @xxbingo

The world has changed an awful lot. Me, I can understand the want and the need to be a person rather than a slave, and I can understand that for a black man in the ghetto until very recently (and still, in some places) there was no way you could get out of being a slave and still live under the law. White men were sucking up all the gravy, and it's not strange that a black man want to pimp some good living out of his women and get some of that gravy.

  • i'm lovin T.C. from Magnum P.I. in this

  • Arrrrrginization

  • Goldie FTW

  • Fantastic scene...Positive conscious brothers tyring to fight the system without economic support from their own and forgetting to maintain direct relations with family. Lost brothers realizing that the conscious brothers are right but uses 'whitey tactics' of exploiting Black folk to get ahead...Net result= our current condition as a people/nation...A possible solution- START A PETITION TO SEPARATE WITH REPARATIONS & SUBMIT IT VIA MINISTER FARRAKHAN-THIS SHOUL BE DONE WHILE OBAMA IS IN OFFICE

  • @trezuru Peace and I am liking what you are saying.

In dayton, ohio the madness of black people kiling each other over kkkrack and paper

money with dead slave owners on it is a joke.

I think we need a new liberation movement quietly working with those who really

    want to be free.

These day's,the programming, mind control and self hate is in full effect.

Myself and few other's we had been tracking this beast called the new world order since

the 80's. So we know it's quite real

  • Seeing this arguement now I think people chose the Goldie side in the end.

  • "I just wanted to see you man...Thats all" nuff said lol.

  • Comment removed

  • just realized Goldie name is John. I'll pay more attention next time i watch. Younger brother got some deep shit with him,

  • MACK was right!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Even though this is just a movie, I don't see what 'valid' point Goldy was making. I mean, it's bad enough that the yt is exploiting u & then have ur own doing the same. Goldy's comments r a cop out. What's the point of making paper if you have no values, morals or honor? Everybody needs $ but when u set ur heart on it, that's when it becomes ur downfall. If Dr. King or Malcolm thought like Goldy did, we'd still b drinking from colored fountains. Movies like these really messed up our heads.

  • NIGGA IS U CRAZY? RAT-A-TAT-TAT!

  • @FMAN13 HAHA I can't listen to this w/o thinking of that song lmao

  • And I never hesitate to put a nigga on his back !

  • Tupac used that sample when goldy said ( nobody closing me out of my business)

  • Awesome! It's the black guy who flies the helicopter in Magnum PI!

  • @DPUMA8 : TC - Roger Mosley

  • I was looking for this from the Rat-a-Tat-Tat song on Dr. Dre's The Chronic. Thanks for posting it!

  • ARRGANIZATION!

  • BROTHER'S WORKED IT OUT and now we have a Black President!

  • It's TC!

  • NIGGAZ IZ U KRAZYY!!!!!!!!

  • Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat like that

  • ohhhhh. so this is where ice cube got his lyrics when he said " we got to get rid of the pimps the pusher's and the protitutes." bitch you crazy and then the song starts.

  • I think that was Snoop Dog on the Doggie Style Album.

  • DR. DRE USED THIS.

  • @sshoebeat i always wondered where dat came from

  • @sshoebeat yup, in the beginning of Rat-A-Tat

  • @ArcaneArteest "nobody closing me out of my business" Definition of a thug nigga 2pac

  • It was on "The Chronic", an intro to "Rat-Tat-Tat-",... Neva Hessitate to put a _ on his back!!!

But be it Dre, Too Short, DJ Quick, Luke Campbell, Ice Cube, Pac... they've frequently referenced the 70s Music/Movie, in their songs.

I still like the songs (still) but they don't have the same flava, now that I'm (a little) older!! Hearing Gangsta Rap praising/rapping about or glorifying killing foes, tapping ho's, clothes, cars and style, loses a little steam after a while:):

  • that song is by Willie Hutch

  • AHahaha...yah pimping AINT EASY, esp. with a fucked up outfit like that...HOW did we ever think the hair and clothes from that era was actually LOOKING COOL? WTF?

  • That was not wu tang that was dr dres the chronic.

  • it's like a wu-tang song intro :D

  • shoot yourself right now with your conspiracy theory

  • What a genuine exchange(scene) between the two, one is talking Self Fulfilment, Morality, Character, Righteousness,... and the other is (in essence) saying None of that means anything if you're Broke.

I don't AGREE with the Mack at all but (being from around folks like that) I understand. When the pursuit of MONEY is your primary goal and you have less than nothing in resources, there you go.

    Choices???? And the motivations thereof.

  • very well said Brother

  • Jive turkeys! You people don't understand pimpin ain't easy but someone's gotta do it!

  • génial!!! la bande orginale de willy hutch es tabsolument génial!!! thanks for this video

  • brothers got 2 wrk together ~

  • I spit on your racist comments THIS is a baaad aaaaassssss movie....

  • @vbierry One of the greatest movie's ever made..

  • All you thug,wannabes,slavemaster

    has changed his plantation game

    so watch out.

  • Movie w/ a message ~ finally ~

  • The soundtrack is crazy too!

  • We talk about real talk today when they talked real sh*t back then.

  • All these sucker homothugs negrows like all this pimp player BS. But when ole kkkracker man locks them up in updated

slave prison they all turned into hoes and

B's and be tricking with homos while locked up.

    Sorry sell-out negrow thugs

  • Unfortunately, true too often!

  • Peace,I am here in dayton ohio.

This place to me is like some updated

    21st century slave plantation.

    Brothers being smoked over BS

and so far 22 of them have not been solved. All this tough guy, pimp player

talk has black males all screwed up.

The kkk just laughs at all

  • preach on

  • preach on

  • If it wasn't for our "negrow" brothers you KKK's wouldn't have no jobs with these updated prison's" . Its because of us, unfortunately, you have jobs. so you use my people. But yall are no different or better than us. You cant stand it when we succeed. . You used us then you use us now. You really cant function with out us. But ha.. your house is now black!!!!

This is all a conspiracy!! Wake up my people wake up!!!!!

  • Peace, the game they are running

now is on some serious, twighlight zone

    high tech spook out.

So be aware of the niggatrons

    in the hood.

They might blast you, with a kkk

    on their brains.

  • wow, im way too white for all of yous peoples.. i shudnt even be commenting. definitely shudnt be commenting. awh, fuck1

  • Being brothers ain't got nothing to do with it. Thug logic

  • hey look nobodyz clozin me out ov my bizness

  • Wow look at Roger E. Mosley from Magnun P.I.

  • I just wanted to see u, thats all. The most powerful sentence in the conversation.

  • Nobodys...closing me outta my business... definition of a thug nigga

  • Thanks for this..

  • rat-tat-tat-tat on the streets of LA?

  • haha 15-16 seconds it the intro to a three six mafia song, i knew i recognized taht "start all over again clean" line before.

  • dont forget The Chronic too. "Niggas is you Crazy"

  • @billtimore which one

  • He wants to help get the dealers, but not the pimps. Interesting.

  • USHER

  • This is the most classic scene in the movie. I remember it so well...and the acting is supreme. They really give you valid arguments from both sides: staying true to your people vs capitalism-or coming up in the world. The balance of both sides is heavy here.

  • I AGREE!!!

  • @spinradiofm well said

  • i just wanted to see u man, thatats all. when people r locked up they dont always need money they need human contact, family, friends. ya dig!!

  • Roger Mosley and DC's own Max Julian Classic acting. Brothas know how to bring it in every arena we participate in, that is great acting

  • CLASSIC !!!!!!! This was real acting.

  • so right. so moving.

  • dre had this intro@ 01-015: and @:38 pac sampled this 4 definition of a thug nigga

  • this was a good movie i don't know whawt this exploitaiton is about a lot of black people got a chance to act and not be poor people but people withmoney and beating and winning in the streeta

  • ne body kno what song was playing at the beginning???

  • its the beginning of brothers gonna work it out

  • Brothers gone work it out is the name of the song.

  • Yes it's the name of willie hutch song from the soundtrack

  • we have already been dping it ROOT breaker. idiot ass uncle tom nigga

  • great stuff ~ dvd here I come :)

  • So that's what TC was doing before his gig in Hawaii.

  • Great movie.

  • the unfortunate reality of our society is that somebody must lose in order for somebody to win....we need to stop the exploitation of our own and (sic) start exploiting those that have done the same to us for centuries

  • how the fuck do you plan to do this? idiot ass nigga

  • we have already been dping it ROOT breaker. idiot ass uncle tom nigga

  • You're the idiot if you'd rather fuck over and hurt your own people rather than the ones who could give a fuck about you. You're the Idiot ass nigga here!

  • really? i'd rather not fuck anyone over and let everyone else fuck themselves. I have no "people". Brothers are brothers when everyone is broke, but brothers turn into crabs in a barrel when you want to better yourself. I understand the ghetto has it's own culture, it's own way of doing things that is acceptable within it, yet i shouldn't be forced to live that way or help aka give handouts to people who choose to stay. i don't care for ghetto life, high life, middle life, just my life!

  • intro to ratt-aa-taat-tat on da chronic

  • NObodys closing me out of my businesss...check 2 pacs are you still down maybe disc one...TIss the season 2 be serving dope cut foe sho

  • T C !!!!

  • Intro to one of DRE's tracks

  • I love Max "Goldie" Julien He is mad sexy. He looks so good in that color. They do make good points, but I mean if u poor and broke and u need fast money,u got 2 do what u got 2 do. I can't fault Goldie.

  • Both of these men made valid points, no point in staying poor ass broke and 'talk' of 'fighting the system'. However that does not mean we have to exploit others to achieve our goals

  • exactly.

  • yes you do.

    this is the real world

  • @funkg We're exploited if we want to be. Keep the faith,baby..,God loves you right where u are,but he's not gonna leave you there.

  • Comment removed

  • Take it back, Mack!

    Ghetto Deep

  • This was a special scene.

  • Max Julian was it!! Fine as hell

  • Ha! Roger E. Mosley! Took me the whole scene to figure out where I'd seen that guy - Magnum P.I

  • great movie

  • "once again, almighty deathrow commitin mass murda", Oh Dr.Dre u and ur rap music

  • 'peppermint' wants to show everybody up...big FUCKIN deal. wow, you are hipper than the rest of us.

  • You dumbass

  • I don't think that the rest of America even knew about the Players Ball and stuff like that until this movie came out.

Max Julien also directed "Cleopatra Jones" and "Thomasine and Bushrod", which he starred in with Vonetta McGee (Blacula) and Glynn Turman (JD's Revenge). He's even in this psychedelic hippie movie from the 60s called "Psych-Out". He has a wild scene in that movie where he has an acid trip and gets into a gang fight. LOL

  • Chemical Brothers - Brothers Gonna Work it Out LP intro track sample. BIGUPS to Willie Hutch

  • Sho' nuff. RIP Willie Hutch.

  • dam how did he die?

  • That's weird. On his Wikipedia page, it says "reasons yet to be disclosed".

  • dam man - when did dis happen?

  • Nobody's Closin Me Outta My Bi-niz

  • This song is a classic & the movie mack..Thanks 4 posting this hit............

  • Both of em are right in a way. Don't exploit ya people but at the same time get that money by any means necessary. It's a hard choice to make.

  • "Being poor and black" don't mean shit. Amen to that.

  • wow this is really deep... nearly made me shed a tear no joke... cuz this is some real shyt... i seen shyt similar to dis in real life... danmm...

  • I was a kid from that era. Like I tell some of the younger cats. What is now was also in the past. Same story different time. People like to scapegoat behind the rapper for using the word Nigga. I tell them time and time again, the 70's that word was used much more than they do today.

  • NIGGA IS U CRAZY.

  • Rat a tat tat tat a tat like dat...and I, never hesitate to...

  • i was wonderin where dre sampled it from

  • IT MEANS SOMETHING TO RICH AND BLACK!

  • Hutch died on September 19, 2005 of reasons yet to be disclosed. He was 60.

  • Thanks for posting this. I'm glad I found it. I have never seen this movie, but I had this audio sample stuck in my head from the Chemicals Brothers song. I knew it had to be from a 70's movie. After some searches I found the name of the movie "The Mack", then I found this.

  • dont know if ur into more than one genre of music but dr dre used this audio as well in his chronic album.

  • I like some dr dre stuff. I probably heard it there too. Thanks.

  • it was first used on the film music done by willie hutch brother's gonna work it out

  • yeah i know i own this soundtrack.lol

  • Hi was first used on willie hutch brother's gonna work it out witch was used on the film thanks

  • Goldie was right and that black power brother is just doing nothing to make matters functional. It's a rich man's game and if you can't beat them, then join them. It's better then living in a rat infested ghetto.

  • What benefit is it if you gain the whole world yet lose your soul? Do you know how hard it is for a rich man to enter the kingodom of heaven? I would rather live in a rat infested ghetto for a 1000 years than whore out women for worldly gain and place my soul in hell fire.

  • Not even the religous aspect but Goldie's outlook is the very reason that Blacks haven't gone far and probably will NEVER be taken serious in this world.

  • Heaven and Hell are conditions. They are not tangible places. This Heaven and Hell talk was shoved down Black and Poor people's throat to keep them passive and off the Rich ass. It is very simple. Besides, how hot can Hell be that you could burn forever and never burn up?

  • sorry man, if you don't belive in an after life your gonna be really disappointed.. BTW the bible was writen when Israel was a kingdom, there was no class system, there was no rich and poor like today

  • ive never heard it put any better good job poetryis alive. i feel ya
