  • Strong guy, but he should think about arching his back more and squeezing his glutes on the press up. Also, keep his feet stable in one position flat on the ground... that way he won't need to lift his ass off the bench.

  • Some smaller issues to deal with forst of all. One, He doesn't lock out 1-9. Second, He is training on a small bar which increases the amount he can throw off his chest. Thirdly, he has got a lot of power there and with a great coach and hard work he can develop his strength into a powerlifting champion... maybe.

  • You're looking at the angle, it's not a small bar. Look at his raw 525 and see straight on. There was some more room for lock out, agreed.

  • I just attended my first powerlifting meet. I have ten times more respect for the sport. At that competition I lifted a hard 365 pause. I'm only 16 and in the HW category. I expect to be a lot stronger. Just missed 385. Couldn't lock out my left elbow. But yes, the bar I used was the same size as the one in the video. I apologize for my incorrect assumptions. You know what 'they' say about assuming.

  • Locking out while lifting for reps w/ anything more than 225lbs. is the quickest way to tear up your joints. Remember muscle grows from pain, joints are destroyed by it. This dudes form is flawless. Just my two cents.

  • Tony can probably hit 600 w/ shirt, recently he popped 495 x2 raw and also 525 raw. He is f'ing insane with power!

  • Shirts are for people who have need of assistance off the chest.

    Using a shirt is not a smart move, unless you have the raw unequipped record. Then by all means go and get the equipped record. I know a lot of people are equipped but, I just can't see the strength improvement gained by wearing a shirt, it's just not natural. I'm sorry if my opinion offends anyone. I realize you are WAY stronger than me more than likely.
