I had this problem in the past... btw, this is Big Button app... It happens when you long-press the key and shift it away where it should be.. To restore it, just restart the phone to reset at default... nexus one..
I have recently purchased N1 and just knew about this accidentally. I am concerned about my new phone having the same problem and if yes I hope i can replace or change a different model. Can someone let me how you ran into this problem. i didn't see it happening yet so far but this really bothers me.
@TheRealPerson You are an idiot, aren't you? The Nexus One has a very bad touch screen, there were hundreds of posts even on official Google blogs. There are issues with the touch screen, and different ppl have different issues.
@TheRealPerson Do you have a Nexus One? I do, and I get key mis-reads all the time. The most annoying is pressing the speakerphone button in a call and instead, the # button is pressed. They aren't even in close proximity, they are separated by a whole button at almost half an inch away. I'd understand if it accidentally registered the button beside it, but not a button 2 buttons away. Another problem is sometimes it double presses a button while I'm dialling.
send it back and get a new one. i love this phone but the reason i havent gotten it yet is because of the touch sensitive buttons. how stupid are those, seems like you can accedentally hit those all the time.
I have the Nexus One and I love it! Have yet to run into this issue. Great device, my only concern is that it gets really hot sometimes. I think Im addicted to the Android Market.
@toffeerusty nexus one is perfectly fine this video is joke the guy simply programmed the keyboard for this behavior, he is a poor iphone boy who is scared

@uview1000 He just programmed the keyboard to do that, which would be relatively easy to do since android is open source.
Notice how he is always pressing the same key, and when he accidentally presses the "D" it works fine.

This really sucks. I am glad I haven't bought one yet! I think I will wait for another half a year to adopt this new gadget.
