So I just realized that this is the exact same choreography that was used for Billy Bell and Robert Roldan on SYTYCD. What was the Indian judge's name? I think he was the choreographer that worked with Billy and Robert as well.

This isn't team India these are Americans of Indian origin but there are faaaar better college( indian dance ) teams in America. Who chose this team. The only good choice has been Amrapali who actually has the required standard for a competition at of this level.

Indians like Bollywood dances o b/c there is level of understanding the rhthym words including everything that indian child is conditioned to while growing up.Others who want esoteric intriguing like anything starange new and out of the order also like them .Rest determines without these baggages which is truthfully test

this show was a bunch of bs!!! how can you compare indian classical dance to other dance forms and vice versa? they are completely different dance forms, its like comparing apples and oranges. Also, the indian group team disappointed big time. they should have actually had real professional dancers from india and not a bunch of college kids. if you want to compete among the worlds best, then bring the best you have, like shiamak davar dance team or other professionals!!

i totally agree with mikeat.. there are such fabulous group dancer teams in India.. if you had a shiamak davar team or some other famous choreographer, i am sure they could have beaten any other team hands down... it was like a team of inexperienced american indian college students.. thats stupid esply when u have teams from so many countries...

This group made a great effort, but Indian group dances are usually MUCH more impressive than this. The dancers were very good, but the choreography was rather repetitive and bland compared to Indian dances that I've seen before. The Raas dance (with sticks) that was incorporated into this performance was hardly near the level that you see with actual Raas dance teams. Even the choice of music was dull.

I love Indian dance and that's why I was disappointed with this act.

The judges have no clue how to judge other countries' dances. They should have been given some kind of list of criteria to judge on.  This dance was good but used obviously simplified actions, perhaps for the judges benefit. Still India's group did well overall.

This show has given a taste of international dance styles to a new audience, and for that I appreciate it very much.

im indian. and this was okay. but personally i know a lot of indians that could go into that compettion and no doubt win. indians can kill it. i guess this was okay, but again personally it doesnt make sense if people from other countries rate other countries dances. if u dont know the history of the dance and the correct way to do the steps, how can u possibly judge it?

I love the team but their performance coulda been better. Having danced everything from bollywood film songs, garba, dandia raas (w/ the sticks) and bharat natyam ever since i was little, i've grown up knowing and performing a lot of indian dance; this was nothing. india has such rich culture and is being misrepresented by college kids. they should have picked a traditional dandia raas song and danced to that, or pick a raas team like BU's fatakras or cornell's raas team.

the south african judge is stupid and cocky and annoyin as can be... the Australian & Irish judge is having mood swings and the russian judge talks to too much... the only one who knows talent/makes sense is the American judge

I just don't like the term Bollywood. It is called Indian dance. They should have done a traditional Bangra or Dhandiya ( with the sticks). I still enjoyed this. Again the judges, my God !! Clueless as ever. I really can't stand the South African & the Irish judge - Arch !!!

having been dancing for 10 years, i have to admit that i know india is capable of soo much more. but the way that the judges chose to score this piece and their reasoning fro doing so was rude. i have to admit that i took offense to it a bit. they think that they watch a couple of bollywood films and they know everything about our style of dance but they don't BOLLYWOOD DANCING AND THIS ARE 2 DIFFERENT THINGS! Ireland simply chooses who he likes more
