  • hi quick question. when you get the BAII, I heard that it doesn't come with the grooves..so you have to bring it to somebody who can file them in for you? Or is that unnecessary, and if you just slap some strings on there, they'll appear gradually over time? I just want to make sure, cause if it isn't detrimental not to pay to get the grooves put in, that what i would rather do. i just don't want the string to be sliding around, since that is the reason i am replacing the stock ones

  • i have a fender jazz with a regular bridge sattle and the screws on it get lower and the strings get lower as i play it.

if i put the screws high up the strings are pushed up higher. then go right back down messing up the whole tune....wat can i do

  • hey someone please help i'm in that bridge so much and want to buy one where can i get one??? where did you buy it??? any adress is helpful net or shop. thanks and sorry for english

  • @Mick80200 allparts dot com

    there you go

  • @BompProductions

thanks maan thanks to you i just found it :) tanks :)

  • @BompProductions

thanks man :) i just found it thanks to you :)

  • by chance would a jazz bridge cover fit on that bridge?

  • WOW!!! great! I'll buy it next month...fantasic bridge!

  • I have a 2005 USA Jazz bass standard i believe, with the string holes coming threw the back of the body.. Will this basass 11 bridge match up with the string holes? because many badass bridges don't. match holes with the string threw bodies

  • @fishfan67 you need the badass bridge III

  • do you know what pickups are on your bass? I just bought a fender jazz mim off the internet and the pickups are noisy and sound like crap

  • @bouncingsoulspunker standard j bass pickups. if you want good pickups look at dimarzio dp 149 ....suped up jazz bass pickups big attack...or dp249 which have more bass. check out musicians friend

  • how did you install it on? did you take it to a music store?

  • @greenfuzzz16 i didnt bring it to a music store but thats an option...and it will cost you money. I loked around the net for instructions and installed it myself.

  • @SensibleCoconut did yours have the pre grooved saddles? mine doesent. Where can i find instructions?

  • Do the saddle screws on the badass bridge use Allen keys to adjust the height? if so what size would i need?

  • @fishfan67 Yes and very small i am not sure what size

  • @fishfan67 It is a sae .050 size allen wrench. It is slightly smaller than the 1/16th wrench.

  • Respond to this video... This is an awesome bridge and the last word in custom bridges. I installed it on on my Fender Jazz bass and noticed immediate improvement in tone, much more punch. I thought I would have a problem with string height with how thick the bridge plate appeared to be, but I had to raise the saddles a bit to clear the strings from buzzing and there was plenty of room for adjustment. This is a great upgrade.

  • I'm going to be snagging one of these off of Ebay in the next couple of days...so psyched to get it on my Mexi Deluxe Active P Special!

  • i know the pick cover will fit I just dont know about the bridge.

  • Hey anyone out there I just recently bought a bass bridge cover for p bass and I have a badass bridge 2 and It ships first thing in the morning so I need to know because i'm nervous it might not fit on my bass. It was only 17.99 but not much of a loss but I dont think it would look great on my 80's charvell bass because it has black hardware. I'm hoping to make my fender american standard p bass look something like an older 60's model bass with the pickup cover and bridge cover. I know the pick

  • hey quick question.... i rally want a badass 2 but im having trouble finding one... any suggestions on where to look?

  • eaby. thats where i bought mine. if you are in the states check out musicians friend. just search it in google

  • @shizazzz did you do any filing of the saddles to make the strings sit tighter?

  • @username125418 What file to use..is that what you are asking? i used a triangular file, made small grooves, tight as some latex pants

  • @username125418 some of these bridges come with pre grooved saddles that are round. If you dont mind doing the labour i suggests doing it yourself. the triangular cuts will hold better. i found a site on google how to install but i cant find it at the moment

  • @username125418 The Stewart-MacDonald guys have the exact files for the saddles or nut, i think a set is about $12, or maybe $12 each! They're kind of pricey, but you can get the exact shape & size you need, do it yourself & still save $.

  • i have a Badass 2 bridge that i brought back in the 80's!. mine has Gold saddles,on top of the Silver plate, dunno if they make this model anymore.Gonna keep it and place it on a Vintage Fender Jazz bass soon.

  • Yes "OrkSlayer3434" it does come on the Geddy Lee Signature and Marcus' Signature. In response to "DaveManDave" I am not sure if this bridge would retro fit onto an Ibenez bass. You may have to do some mild drilling and such though. Watch that finish!

  • If Im not the mistaken doesnt the Geddy Lee Signature bass come with the badd ass bridge II?

  • yeha it does. same with the marcus miller signature basses

  • and mike dirnt p-bass too

  • how wide is this thing? i wanna know if i can get one for my ibanez :)

  • i meant a 16 th of an inch not 1/15

  • Hey man, i just picke done up myself. I need help with the slotting. Do i need to slot them all to the size of my string? Or do i just make a slot about the size of the g string?

  • Does badass bridges make real difference in the sound quality of your bass ?

  • yeah it is amazing. the sustain is quite longer. the tone is punchier, really great for slap/pop. also tuning is amazing. i have to tune it maybe once a month and stilll then it is barely off

  • exacly what shizazzz said!

  • @littlejey nope,

  • Do these fit perfectly into J-Basses or do you need to get them professionally inserted?

  • Yes, use the same screw holes. They were origionally designed for P's and J's, but will work on almost any Fenders and many other makes.

  • i got one on a p bass

  • unfortunately me and my badass II didnt go that well together...dont throw one of these on a squier P lmfao...you mentioned you did all the work yourself, what tools did you use for the file'ing notches, and do you have a how to on antonizing??

  • i used a triangular file. antonizing is easy tune up, and then kep it pluged into the tunner. now hold the 12th fret of E and see if its in tune if its sharp or flat you will need to turn the screw aat the bottom of the bridge clockwise or counter clockwise. you should be able to figure it out. just do that to everystring until it is in tune open and at the 12th fret. if that helps :S

  • omg man, thnx you so much dude, you just saved me like 80$ and 24 hours in a guitar shop lol.

question, where do you get a traingular file, like uhmm, home depot right? place like that maybe a hardware store?

  • did you need to do any drilling when you installed it

  • none what so ever. it comes with the proper screws. all you need to do is file notches on the saddles. its not hard .great buy though

  • i know little about bass. is replacing the bridge something i should be able to do? or should i get someone at a guitar place to do it for me.

  • im 18 i didit myself. just lookup instructions on google. if you arent handy or dont work well with tool s just bring it to a guitar shop and they can do it . dont know the price

  • hey there

im gettng a fender jaguar bass in a few days. I always thought that the bridges for bass have seemed almost prehistoric and sorta flimesey after a while..the bas ass bridge looks much more chunkier and has better options i think for adjustment..im going from a steinberger BACk to fender because i want something thats good and works and its not some big event to get strings for the bass..doubleball strings dont come in near as many options as more typical bass's are concerned.

    D

  • yeha man fender is a great choice. people dis fender. but i dont know why. great basses . great versitility.

    cheers

  • no grooves it was more expensive. only took an hout to install. if you do get one. i suggest a non grroved. the grooves are round and i would amagine can damage sustain. use a triangular file to make the grooves start at 1/16 inch deep at E and get smaller as you moove to G. it seems small but they fit snug
