Because one of them has already moved up to second on the depth chrt at rb (vincent smith) and tate another fresh is goin to be the starter at qb, a redshirt fresh (brandon smth) looks to win a safety job, t-rob looks to start at slot, d-rob looks to be gettin lots of playin time too, the list goes on, that's why everybody thinks the freshman are good, it's sad that all of them are taking over spots over upperclassmen, then again, that's a great sign for the future.

Well, we have great young safeties, so whoever wins it cause don't forget about Justin Turner, he's goin to be either a safety or corner, who konws, but we have a young and talented secondary. And each are fast and physical and will punish any WR who comes across the middle!

yeah im gald trent is gone now its cissokos turn to be a beast. i hope turner will be a free safety thats his skilled position. they do need more corners but i think they will be fine this year and then next year rich knows what the team need so he will go get corners and linebackers and oline men and dline men. he knows how to recruit we are doing good so far

I agree. There's too much depth at both outside and slot for him to be a receiver, and with Donovan Warren possibly gonig pro after next season, we need some depth at cornerback.

warren wont go pro i guarantee that he is no where near ready he had a very disappointing season last year and he is undersized. but i just think that with terrance robinson and justin feagin and jeron stokes where would this guy fit in? we need corners.

I don't think Warren will go pro either unless he has a monster junior year. I think he'll be back for his senior year in 2010. and like you said, we need corners. We are projected to have Warren, Cissoko, Turner, Troy Woolfolk, and J.T Floyd at CB for 2010, and Tunrer may yet be moved to free safety. Michigan needs to have 7 or 8 CB's on scholarship, especially in today's era of college football. So yeah, Williamson will probably be a CB.

You probable thought Desmond Howard would play a small part too because he was 5'9 when he when he went to UM.

Gallon is a monster, he, Turner and Toussaint are UMs best recruits. Campbell is overrated he'll be a good player but not the all american he was hyped as.

Desmond Howard wasn't any bigger. Gallon is a beast he's very similar too Heisman Howard size is not an issue in college football.

And the best player UM got in 09 was Toussaint, he is a cross betweem Mike Hart and Darren McFadden. i watched him last year. He has it all.

Turner is going to be awesome too.

howard was 185 lbs man gallon is 165 at most. toussaint is not there best player i cant believe you said that. teric jones is better than toussaint. jones is running a 4.39 and weights 196lbs. tuner is by far the best. and size does matter mcguffie got his ass racked at michigan

Howard was 175 at most WHEN HE GOT TO UM. He left UM at 185-190.

Oh and I guarantee you by the time Gallon shows up he'll be about 175.

40x and size don't mean anything. Vision Hand Strength quickness etc are what matter. Toussaint has all those things. Toussaint is a beast I watched him live 3x last year.

BTW Mike Hart as freshman was the same size as Mugguffie.

Brown is average. Minor is not a spread back, he dosn't have the vision. Grady while not proven, he is when healthy the best athlete on the team.

Its going to be Minor and Grady to start, Toussaint will take Minors spot once he learns the playbook

Most of the seniors are going to be phased out. Michigan is rebuilding and looking towards the future.

Stonum had a bad freshman year. like 90% do. Stonum was forced to play before he was ready.

Grady despite his size has the ability when healthy and in shape to make the quick cuts needed to run in the spread.

Grady used to have good cutback ability for a guy his size. However, he tore his ACL sophomore year so that has greatly impacted his ability to cut. Hopkins the 2010 commit is a big guy but he has some pretty good cutback ability.
