I'm all for acceptance but I thought about it for a while and thought to myself that if you're not happy with yourself, no matter what you change you'll always be unhappy with your physical self. It's the same for non trans gendered people who are plastic surgery addicts. I'm sure there are cases where this isn't the case. But it's all up to people to make their own decisions.

If you have some problem with the idea of transition / transsexuality itself, go see a therapist first to deal with that before you transition. Some issues might come back later to haunt you during transition and make it unnecessary difficult.
I think that you are right about saving money. It´s very important to have some kind of financial security in order of not to sleep on the street if you get fired from your job... or your family :S

what makes you choose to speak in a lower voice rather than your higher voice? I ask only because sometimes it just seems so random as to when and which voice you use.

I did that too when I went to see my doc and a counselor, already had started voice work, electrolysis, hair long, and I think it helped make it more apparent that I was serious about this. I don't have a therapist therapist yet but I don't think I'll need one just yet..
Great advice. I have been isolated forever because of how I feel. And yes the isolation is perfect for transitioning in. I have no one to really get upset or bothered by me and so will be able to go out and start from scratch when my transition has gone along enough for me to be resonably passable. I am looking forward to being able to make videos and fill out my youtube and myspace pages at that time. Thanks Candi :) You are incredible :)

It's great that you made a video as an introduction to transition. I think I'm doing all the same first steps, so our paths are pretty close. I also went to tsroadmap. However, I also started going to voice therapy and counseling from the start, since I want to go full time after a year or so of preparation.

I did that too when I went to see my doc and a counselor, already had started voice work, electrolysis, hair long, and I think it helped make it more apparent that I was serious about this. I don't have a therapist therapist yet but I don't think I'll need one just yet..

Great advice. I have been isolated forever because of how I feel. And yes the isolation is perfect for transitioning in. I have no one to really get upset or bothered by me and so will be able to go out and start from scratch when my transition has gone along enough for me to be resonably passable. I am looking forward to being able to make videos and fill out my youtube and myspace pages at that time. Thanks Candi :) You are incredible :)

I think that people (myself include) love your voice is the character and humor you put behind it just make irresistibly hilarious. Like in your video "022 Reasons 2 date transsexuals" that whole video is incredibly offensive if you think about it, but it is one of the funniest videos on youtube in my personal opinion.

Right on hon. Yer a scream! The isolation part is good because the people around aren't gonna be supportive at first. Save Save :) Voice, facial hair, you'd think that would be a given yet some don't get that. Your message is alway a clear, sound and good one. Peace.

It's great that you made a video as an introduction to transition. I think I'm doing all the same first steps, so our paths are pretty close. I also went to tsroadmap. However, I also started going to voice therapy and counseling from the start, since I want to go full time after a year or so of preparation.
