Actually for one it could've not have ended on SOS exactly Godzilla doesn't die in this film the original Godzilla possesses kiryu for one last time and actually saves the other Godzilla from being blasted to death. I actually wonder why did g-1954 even save the present Godzilla. When he apparently did that it actually makes you wonder more about the original Godzilla a little more. Because his character is very little explained 90's had a ton of explanation for his character

I love it when they throw Mothra into the mix. They will find any excuse, and I really don't mind it, either. Tokyo SOS is the same movie as GXMG, but with Mothra thrown in. It was bigger and better than GXMG, and I consider that to be a good thing, as GXMG was pretty awesome on its own. Can't wait for Toho's next move for the Godzilla franchise.

I thought it was. The alien thing was kinda just a way to have all the kaiju in one movie... So this one was more fun to watch cause it had more screen time for the kaiju at focus in the film. =) It also seemed paced better imo. Final Wars was still a good entry in the series though. =D

However, I always thought it'd be one killer idea if they made a sort of comedy anime spin-off featuring the Toho kaiju talking and living an everyday life on monster island. That is what I was referring to. The similarities are there; the longer tail, the shoulder cannons etc.

I suspect that the the design of Mechagodzilla for this film was based on the 93 action figure. I might be wrong. Nevertheless, I find it to be an interesting likeness.

It might have saved them time in choosing a design for Mecha-Godzilla. The might have looked to previously created concepts rather than get their creative team to go through what could be dozens of potential designs.
