'Cause the Japanese sense of humor is crazy like that. They like sillyness a lot. That's why anime and Japanese games have a lot of silly conversations and situations in them. MGS4 is a serious game but with sillyness from beginning to end. The cow voice is just one of many examples.

They make cow noises as part of a psychological tactic against enemy soldiers.

When they're aggressive they make cow noises to throw off the enemy.

If you were in the middle of a war and you heard cow noises you would be quite confused.

Plus having a giant machine with legs running towards you screaming like a cow can be kinda intimidating.

They also make cricket noises when hunting.

Mistake. Artificial muscles are rubber like strings of a polimer which is able to change its shape in presence of a electric current. Just like real muscles do. Plus you dont need abortions to

But the Ray and Gecko legs ARE regular artificial muscles. There is nothing organic on them, nothing alive. The blood in the Ray as i recall was both a lubricant and a nanomachine paste capable of fixing minor damage to the structure. And the geckos looks even more organic to make their opponents scared. Same goes for their animal calls..

okay, this is just from my point of view but their texture mapping is really crappy. the character modeling looks good, if not a bit rough. over all the game has pretty nice graphics despite some poor choices made by the dev team.

I'm not sure which part at the end you mean. When the gun is is on the floor by the corpse he uses his knife to check if theres a trap underneath the gun perhaps (maybe a grenade, which pulls the pin once he lifts the AK), or after that he is checking if the magazine is full and that there is a bullet already loaded in the gun chamber.

I think the reason they 'MOO' is to trick the enemy into thinking they are animals when they hear them.

I think the reason they BLEED is because they have actual flesh so they don't run out of fuel. Muscular System = No gas = Never ending rampage.

It's all about Psychological Warfare... They " Moo " to scare there targets. And when you see them " Poop " ( lol ), It's lactic acid from there artificial muscles. I assume they use it to mark the area so other Geckos know that the area has already been checked...
