None of the new console games have anything on the good old PS2 games. It is true that what you enjoyed in your childhood will mold what you enjoy as an adult, and holy hell my childhood rocked!

This game rocked, my favorite level was the infiltration of the SOLG. The aircraft that I chose throughout the game was the F-16, I got all the medals and S ranks on the levels on the highest difficulty level. I eventually got good enough to attack with afterburners constantly on, of course, in real life, that would wear you out, you'd pull 9 G's and probably pass out from exhaustion in a short while.
i had the secret falken plane for all of my pilots when chopper dies we all used lazer lol and we killed them all and he still died even though i was tailing chopper so that missil would hit me not him... i got hit till i had 98% damage... and suddenly he catches flames... the game no like chopper

One of my top favourite games of all time. It brings back many good memories of when I used to play it, the newer version on xbox 360 was missing the magic of the older ps2 games like this and the "Belkan War" and "Shattered Skies". All classic epics in my humble opion. Hollywood should do a big budget movie based on this series of games.

ace combat 5 unsung war is the best ace combat and ace combat is my favorite genre (other than mario) I did things to this disk I loved this game so much I had to buy it again because it fried in my ps2 I overplayed the shit out of this game and still can't get enough. it has the perfect unfolding storyline. everything just tears at your emotions and mind and everything. from the whole yuktobania declairing war to the unknown squadren (the one with the numbers like 8838 or something) showing
Best fucking game ever, period! If only they made these games for PC though, cause lets be honest, I hate the PS3 and I dont want to get one for the good games they will make later on in this series. Not to mention the possibilites it would have, like an online mod. I have played at least 400 games in my life, including GTA 4, Fallout NV and Oblivion, but I loved this one the most.

@bobbygarcia4569 I know its not, thats why I just don't play it lol. Over-G fighters still falls short for me to. I fly on Falcon 4.0 and Lock On. The DCS series is good too and I use MS Flight Sim with PMDG planes for civilian flights.

When I was younger my dad got me this game. I could never beat the level with the mass driver going to space because i never shot down the missiles.One day i picked it up and played it again and beat the campain. Then i did that over and over agian with the F22. I got to say, the F22 is by far the best fighterjet in the game.
This is the best game i've ever played. It was a few years ago but the first time i played it, I was so sucked in i almost cried when chopper died. I must have played it 20 times over and the only reason I stopped was because my sister tripped on a wire and broke my ps2. I compare every game I play to this one and no game, movie, or book has ever had the same effect on me.

this is bye-far the Best combat flight simulator series ever made, and this is also bye-far the best game in this series. in my opinion(even though ive only played 2 of the games) only the belkan war comes close. to bad i had to get rid of them when i got my PS3. i have high hopes for Ace Combat Assault horizon. they need to update the old ones for the PS3 and Xbox 360. they really should

This is the best Ace Combat ever: AMAZING! The history is good, the graphics too, epic. Like @CoolBlueZR1 said, this game never leave my playstation for a year. But I still think they sholud make a memorial for Chopper in the game. He was my favorite wingman in all Ace Combat series.

You are being used all time by the Nord Belkas, until theres a mission were you are eading back home, your ACES(Edge and Grim, Choper dies in the Stadion mission, a airplaine error) discover Sand island is controled by Nord Belkas!! Ps: I have the Game for PS2

@bobbygarcia4569 I know its not, thats why I just don't play it lol. Over-G fighters still falls short for me to. I fly on Falcon 4.0 and Lock On. The DCS series is good too and I use MS Flight Sim with PMDG planes for civilian flights.

All I can say is WTF. This game is so...amazing. This is better than call of duty modern warfare 2 even though this was made like five years ago.BEST GAME EVER. Try making a real movie out of this game and it would be the best thing ever.

Its creepy but as you play you aactually get attached to your squad and i actually teared up for a second when Chopper died.

When I was younger my dad got me this game. I could never beat the level with the mass driver going to space because i never shot down the missiles.One day i picked it up and played it again and beat the campain. Then i did that over and over agian with the F22. I got to say, the F22 is by far the best fighterjet in the game.

This is the best game i've ever played. It was a few years ago but the first time i played it, I was so sucked in i almost cried when chopper died. I must have played it 20 times over and the only reason I stopped was because my sister tripped on a wire and broke my ps2. I compare every game I play to this one and no game, movie, or book has ever had the same effect on me.
