  • The new chrome ss56c 19.00 mics on ebay sound great better then original road kings

  • i got one, but does any one know where i can get the power cables that are on the back? i bought mine and its missing that and the mic

  • Yes, you can buy the power cord at any truck stop. I would recommend you buy a noise cancelling mic, (M77) by Cobra. This what I have with my 29, and it works perfectly! Good Luck!

  • @usxone thanks for the help :)

  • i've got 3 of them

  • i got the chinese version like so many others, firs the meter light wnt out. then the meter quit working . then the squelch quit working. all chinese versions of the cobra 29 are shit.

  • i need some advice, i got this cb and hooked it all up and it makes no noise. when i press the button on the mic, there is a little popping noise, but that is the only noise that it makes. plus the needle on the green and red gauge does not move. what could be the issues that im having?

  • @YAMAHA22RACING im having the same problem

  • I purchased mine in 1989 it's been in and out of a million trucks and all over the country still going strong I would suggest getting a good noise cancelling mic like a turner roadking or astatic I like the turner for the old school look

  • I have this radio (sort of, it is the 29WXNWST) and when checking the SWR the needle doesn't move at all, stays far left. The needle is not stuck, the needle moves during CAL and when keying up to talk. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong, or what the problem might be?

  • I'm new to the cb scene, is a radio with ssb good? Sideband? I want to get a cb but i have a feeling i should get one with a ssb? Can someone give me intel on this? Thanks in advance!

  • does it come with everything like cables n shit micaphone n that

  • @HPDpvtcaboose yes. i have this cb in my truck. most of my buddies with cbs also have this same one. i think its a pretty common model

  • hey! im looking for a radio. im as beginner as a beginner gets. this will be my first radio... is this overall a good, respectable radio? i know in the video it says its so great but i want to know what actual users think. also, what size antenna works best with it? or does it matter?

thanks alot for any help, sorry i have really no idea about these and i'm trying to do some research here.

    thanks

  • @its967kevin11 well idk if this radios good im trying to get one im on a uniden uh400sx with a 6dbi antenna 830 cm i think it works fine in my car since i got it i been heard all the time but yeh i setted it up as a base i can here good but not very good they can hear me but not all the time but i perrferr it in car

  • UNIDEN IS COBRA MORONS.

  • Comment removed

  • @robles4242 uniden canceled the cobra-uniden contract in 1988. but most of the radios have the same chassis. eg. uniden pc78=cobra 29. same everything. give or take some stuff like the squelch and weather on the uniden.

  • dose anyone remember where the modulation block is in the 29 ltd?

  • think of the rf gain as a volume control for the incoming signal full open it receices all of it turn it down and it weakens the receive signal to block out noise and the weak signals like bleed over

  • How is RF Gain different than squelch because you said that the rf gain blocks out weak signals and hear only power signals, but isnt that the same thing the squelch does?

  • It is a great cb I use it more than my general lee

  • uniden 78 is a pos

  • The Uniden 78 and Cobra 29ltd classic are the exact same design internally, and many share the exact same versions of the boards. The only difference is that Cobra uses cheaper components to cut costs. Uniden has been making radios for other companies including cobra since the 80's, as well as coming out with President radios, and later putting the Uniden name on the front of them.

  • The Uniden 78 is a better quality product

  • I like both the 78 and the 29 ltd. Both radios are awesome but nothing comes close to a cobra. the 78 has some nice extra features too and is impressive considering its base price is a slightly higher than the 29 ltd. The one thing I think puts the 29 LTD over the top is the fact that it has such a great track record.

  • @moonshiner180 I agree, Uniden is so much better than Cobra

  • I have this C.B. in my 2005 F-150, and its by far the best Radio iv ever owned

  • i also have this amen to that brother
