  • ahh..slutty female dolphin?

  • lol dolphin penii

  • Dolphins aren't humans, obviously. You mustn't compare two different species so easily - most people get wrong ideas about other animals from doing that.

Anyway, dolphins don't get erections by accident, as they have control over the mechanisms and can even ejaculate on will.

Showing their genitals like this is a widely used semantic element in dolphin communication and informs of a conflict situation that revolves around dominance. Since dominance is tied to sexuality, it is a clear symbol.

  • @Ilavenya

    it's still upsetting.

  • @Ilavenya wow lol, cant believe someone on youtue would know that. lol

  • soo mannnyy penis' AHH IM BLINDED

  • I WISH ONLY THING: ITS TO CUT A FAG DOLPHIN INTO PIECES IT WILL BE GREAT, TO SEE THIS FAGGY BLOOD YOU KNOW, JUST AMAZING

  • @TheChulangot they are only gays, not so good to be sharks sorry

  • They don't actually show just how dark dolphins can become. Just like humans.

  • @Grinnar yea...ALWAY pick on the little ones to show their strength. :(

  • FUCK U DOLPHIN FUCK U WHALE

  • I think my eyes just burned away

  • "SWORD FIGHTING"......wait a minu.... O_o

  • Beside humans, dolphins are the only creatures who commit gang rape and murder.

  • @AverageWizard100 lol that seems true i guess

  • @AverageWizard100 ahahhahahahhaha

  • @AverageWizard100

That is absolutely untrue, there are many species that also exhibit behaviors that resemble "gang rape" (though you can't accurately as use that term given our lack of understanding of the Animal Kingdom).

  • @AverageWizard100 nope. Sharks do it too

  • You think they threw in those sexual innuendos on purpose...

  • gross on 52pause and u see a red thing GGGGRRRROOOOSSSS

  • Dolphins: sex-crazed thrill-killers.

  • lol gang bang

  • LOL @ DOLPHIN PENIS

  • lol dolphins commit gang rape??? thats cool as shit

  • looked more like they were trying to rape the other dolphin at the start

  • "female dolphins want to mate with as many males as possible."

i should consider becoming a dolphin.

    :-|

  • Male bottlenose dolphin's are rapists!

  • wtf dicks look weird on dolphins lmao wtf

  • 0:34 a dolfin penis :o

  • bottlenose have really big things

  • "How did your date go last night Flipper?"...."It was great, I did her in the blowhole!"

  • when i think about bottlenose dolphins i dont think of boners!!!!!!! O.o

  • dolphins have Bonerz!!! O.o

  • Aha, not the sweet, oh-so-cutesy, cuddely creatures we humans THOUGHT they were. Dude, they're ANIMALS they are suppose to act wild, crazy and out of control. Why do you think they call it WILDlife

  • I'm reasonably sure these two males were attempting to copulate with both spotted and bottlenose dolphin females in the video...the jaw clicking was a male/male interaction. Not impressed with this juvenile explanation.

  • macho males?

  • I don't think those two dolphins with the boners were trying to attack the spotted dolphin...more like gang bang.

  • what! i can't hear anything!

  • Im a biologist and right niw i lie about what i am. So calm down n enjiy rhe damn video

  • What we learned today: female dolphins are sluts and male dolphins get wood while fighting.

  • @ZeroGrowth Yeah- the word 'slut' is just another method of control for the same thing in humans.

  • @ZeroGrowth

    well like humans

dolphins also have sex for fun

  • this narration seems ridiculous to me....if you watch it on mute the last thing you think is that they're "agressive" and "looking for a fight" they look to be playful and maybe a bit protective of their child or their mate...making them out to be agressive, angry creatures seems a bit dramatic.

  • If it is a bottlenose calf, then where is its mother? She would be surrounded by a "society" ie pod. There would be a large bull or possibly a matriarch and several followers with her. ...By rogue I mean two lesser males that have formed an alliance to mate. (Watch end of video.) By mates I assume you mean "Friends" not mates as in pair bonding as they are both obviously males...or do you think they are gay. In second 41-43 there is a good shot of the dorsals of the two species.

  • What grabbed my attention was that Fios commercial about why we're still using 1940s cable wiring? My question is why is an entire civilization kept chained to oil cartels & govt's addiction to oil while the planet is being ruined for centuries to come? Many forms of limitless energy now exist that are either suppressed or in use under false national security tags. They need to be released immediately!! Btw, nice film Nat Geo!! The time of captive & lab animals worldwide is also past! <3 AC

  • ...Narrator, At 45 seconds into this video the dolphin mentioned as "One of their own" is not it is a juvenile spotted dolphin. They only get their spots when they mature.

  • @mrrfrr: Its a bottlenose calf.

  • @Ilavenya,

How do you know this is a "bottlenose" calf since they are nearly indistinguishable from a "Spotted Dolphin" calf. If you look at the video you can see other spotted dolphins around these two male "Bottlenose". So it is most likely the calf belonging to the pod of "Spotteds". It is very unlikely that this agressive behavior would be tolerated by the mother bottlenose and her pod. This is a rogue pair of bottlenose bullying a smaller pod of "Spotteds" A not atypical behavior.

  • @mrrfrr

I've spent so much time with spotties and bottlenoses that I can usually tell very easily. The shading is the same, and I see it from the shape of the fins, and the way the young one moves. That comes with experience, I guess. The quality isnt all that good, so I cant tell what those in the background are. I think the may be bottlenoses as well. Also, if they were 2 males, they wound't be rogues, but mates. Bottlenose males often come in duos.

  • @theyellowchameleon Yes, dolphins are the second most intelligent animal after human. It has been agreed almost universally among scientists now that dolphins are more intelligent than chimps. So go and read a little bit....

  • @TheSunnyvicky That is not true. A lot of scientists do not agree "dolphins are the second most intelligent animal[s]". Besides, what kind of dolphin do you mean when you talk about superior intelligence? If you read a little bit, you will find that dolphin intelligence is on the same level as elephants (which is hardly a put down, since elephants rival the intelligence of humans and dolphins).

  • It seems someone got their vids mixed up, This is clearly mating behavior...

  • wow...uhm...penis...

  • If you love dolphins, please watch the documentary "the cove"

I beg you, it will change the way you think about dolphins in captivity. PLEASE WATCH THE COVE. I PERSONALLY BEG YOU. (Ill also give you $100)

  • @BomaBoi I know! The Cove was...... holly crap! Now I actually WANT to be wanted for trying to save dolphins and other whales in Japan.......

  • Superbe video...Merci !

  • DOLPHIN BONER!!!

  • to show that it isnt a species thing, they turn on one of their own. a younger bottlenose, and start giving it a hard time.

OH THEY GAVE IT A *HARD* TIME ALRIGHT.

  • the fact that the narrator makes no mention of the giant dolphin dicks in the "fight" sequences somehow makes it more disturbing

  • hahahah female dolphins are sluts

  • I dont think their fighting...

    0_0

  • @flamewarrior08 If I could hold time in a bottle -- Jim Croce song. John Lennon said his son Julian was conceived in a bottle. And Julian Lennon made a movie about saving whales and dolphins called Whaledreamers.

  • when dolphins come to mind... i dout boners is one of them...

  • Ya the guy talkin is HELLA off, cuz bottlenose dolphins are bi-sexual, and they stimulate each other when they are not mating.. its NOT ku..

  • dolphins are more intelligent than humans..! they have bigger brain size and more efficient dna capabilities..

Please sign the petition to stop japanese, iceland and norway killing whales and in particular Japan killing 1000''s dolphins per year

    website - takepart. com/thecove

  • @Avatar2050 Well, if they are really smarter than people then they can go to war with Japan and save themselves.

  • dolphins are my favrite animal

  • ha so female dolphins are just sluts.......wonderful

  • @markit39 To all you idiots saying that female dolphins are "sluts"..... wow. Really people? Are you really that stupid? Just because female dolphins naturally mate with more than one male doesn't make them "sluts"...... "Slut" is just a stupid human term that doesn't even make sense anymore. Seriously, humans, stop insulting nature with your dumbass human words...... -_-;

  • @suicunesrider Uhh, pretty sure they're joking by calling them "sluts"... I think you left your sense of humor at home.

  • Watch "THE COVE" A documentary about the slaughter of dolphins in Japan!!!

  • it's not tail bite. it's vagina lick. :D

  • Why is there dolphin porn?

  • "giving it a hard time" HAHA

  • I dont think those dolphins are trying to fight.

  • Any "good" night out with Da' boys...

  • I agree with you that dolphins' unique sexual behavior is not by itself an indicator of their intelligence. There are so many other factors that make these animals intelligent, but there is not enough space to write about it all. From my part I've read enough about dolphins, but I see there are still a lot of people that have no clue about these animals. Understanding dolphins better will make us, humans, respect these species more and hopefully we will stop killing them.

  • @TheSunnyvicky: A single dolphin is unable to catch a fish unless they are close to a beach. Dolphins are intelligent because they need hunting strategies and social planning to survive. They come up with strategies every day.

Everyone has no clue about most things, so that's ok. What bothers me is that people who love toothed whales think that watching docus and reading books makes them knowledgeable. In reality, though, these media give a distorted and very narrow picture of dolphins.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, so will some zoologist please explain the erect penises ?

  • @durgaaa: Kay. It is exactly the way the narrator says it is. People need to learn not to compare themselves to other species.

Dolphins don't get accidental erections; they can control that the way you can raise your arm, and they can also ejaculate on will. This is a mere signal, and it is used very often in conflicts about dominance.

  • They are trying to mate. What an idiot

  • Talk about giving that dolphin a HARD time

  • .-. this isn't a fight... They're matin... what a dumbass.

  • First of all, some of you get the facts straight- dolphins are mammals, not fish. Second, they are second in their intelligence to humans. Like humans they have sex for pleasure and, yes, some males engage in violence (although not even remotely bad as human violence). If this is a reason to dislike this beautiful animal, well, then we should also be appalled by 95 percent of humanity. P.S: And if you are disgusted by dolphin's penis, take a look at yours( if you have one) ! ;-)

  • @TheSunnyvicky: The encephalization quotient varies greatly between the various dolphin species and does not necessarily indicate intelligence. Also, it cannot be well defined how different species compare in terms of intelligence.

The fact that dolphins engage in sexual behavior for pleasure is no argument for intelligence. There are social reasons for this embedded within their group structure. And if you really think only some males are violent, then you don't yet know dolphins very well.

  • @TheSunnyvicky Where is your evidence dolphins are allegedly "second in their intelligence to humans"? What species are you talking about? What makes dolphins so superior to other animals such as elephants or apes? Because they are more mysterious, or cuter?. Also, the 'sex for pleasure' has more to do with social structure and social bonding (and promiscuity is a device for the prevention of infanticide) than doing it because it is enjoyable.

  • @theyellowchameleon ummm..... actually, theyellowchameleon, many scientists speculate that dolphins and whales may actually be the smartest animals after humans, possibly even smarter than apes. But it's very hard for humans to know for sure which animals are smarter. It has nothing to do with the fact that dolphins are "'more mysterious, or cuter"'. So..... TheSunnyvicky's "evidence" is that he or she is just repeating what EXPERTS say......

  • @suicunesrider of course this is an area of hot debate, as just as many scientists believe animals other than cetaceans are the smartest on the planet.

Even so, despite the speculation, the arguments made for dolphins alleged superior intelligence to other animals can actually be compared with behavior seen in other animals and not unique to dolphins.

  • @theyellowchameleon Yes, I suppose that is true.

  • my name is marilyn blanchard i live in south louisiana, my brothers and other fishermen working off of Venus, Louisiana for BP , see white dolphins they come close to boats and try to rub off their flaking skin on the anchor ropes this is very sad can you help?

  • basically female dolphins are sluts. and males have constant boners.

  • @himynameiselliot ---so that would mean that male dolphins are SLUTS too ! ! !

  • the chicks want to fuck everyone? they're the opposite of humans.

  • @superrtubes actually...they're just like them :O

  • slut

  • The narrator is a bit annoying.

  • I dont like how the narrator is trying to make out like they're aggressive animals, all animals assert their dominance in this way, its not just dolphins. This doesn't mean they are more likely to attack other species, in comparison to other mamals they're really quite tame, like the dogs of the sea.

  • Alas, existence is suffering. There is always something spurring us on, even though the end is always death. Therefore, the injunction, "Be still, and know that I AM the Lord". This program is a subtle yet powerful message to mankind -- it suggests that if even "gentle" creatures are innately aggressive, then we, who fancy ourselves gentlemen and gentlewomen, are kidding ourselves by repressing the same innate urge. This is PURE Freudian bullshit, designed to bring out the worst in us.

  • the worst piece i have seen from national geographic. really makes you think ! male aggressive behavior, could that have anything to do with a woman or mating fights? since the dick is taking quiete a large portion of the screen? they wouldnt even mention it. really dont have to be a scientist, to smell the bullshit here!

  • im not sure i understand ur comment... and we cant compare ourselves to them in every aspect, actually alot of animals show dominance and humiliate other animals by mounting or attacking them while aroused, trainers for example dont wrestle with big cats because the males get aroused even tho its non sexual contact, probosics monkeys display erect penises at compitition n male giraffes will mount the opponents once they have defeated them so yes the dolphins r aroused by attacking the other

  • maybe, but if you can tell that why couldnt ng mention it?

  • good poin,t dont no y they didnt but the piece did its job in the end it got the point across that people underestemate them, making them out to be tamed animals with a gentle docile demenor but r instead wild animals that can snap at any moment... sea world for example unfortunatly

  • the agression dolphins show are not towards humans. i have at least never heard or seen. probably if you really really piss them of they may .. but this aggression is usually directed to their own kind or other large competetors. in captivity it is again a whole different story, since the creatures just cant run of, if they had enough "fun".

  • They also kill porpoises for fun. Dolphins are just like us. we are a part of the Animal Kingdom.

  • i have never heard, read or seen that! please send me a link! and dolphins are not like us.

  • Why do you need a link just ask a marine biologist or use google not that hard.

  • but i am curious y do u think its a bad piece on ng part i couldnt really understand ur comment

  • yes, i think it is a bad piece. if you have a penis sticking out and filling the entire screen and ng doesnt think it is worth mentioning, yes BAD PIECE.

  • @777truthsetsufree

Just because you desperately want to know every single fact about cetacean penises doesn't mean you have to beat on a video that shows nothing about it. Look it up yourself.

  • @BabyGlory YAAAWN! .. .you are boring!

  • @777truthsetsufree

I wasn't trying not to be.
