  • She is born in 1975 so she was 19, not 16 ehen she released the album.

  • @AMoosemintandlament She completed the album when she was 16.It didn't get released until she was 18 and some change. It was released on April 5th 1994......her Birthday is in December

  • Дякую komonaut.

  • @sherrylynnp67 прОшу. you are welcome

  • In response to sherrylynn67's question: I found this on line, but I'm not too sure how accurate it is: In the forest near the Danube river, there is a nightingale singing, he sings to gather everyone from his family In the forest near the Danube river, there is a bass vibrating and a fiddle crying, I think of a place where my lovely one is strolling now In the forest near the Danube river, I am sick with my loneliness, crying, I want to fly like a bird, to where my lovely one is now
  • Thank you IzzyDedjet!

  • my favorite, but the whole album is outstanding!

  • I love this song.

Truly, isn't the world a better place when we can share our art, our culture, our loves?

Are we not greater than the sum of our parts when we stand togehter?

    Do we not need eachother?

I know I need this Ukranian folk song in my life!

    I'm from Chicago, Illinois

  • This is the good part of globalization. Is amazing to see how we can choose everything we like from the whole world. I'm from Chile and listen music from, at least, 10 countries. This was just a dream 15 years ago! :)

  • One of my all-time favourite albums. Thanks for posting.

  • great song!

  • Do you know what the words mean???? Ilove it too!

  • this song of a young lonely girl. at the begining she is singing about nightingale, which calsl its family - 'tyokh-tyokh-tyokh' - those are its sounds. then she is singing about herself - she is standing near the great river Dounay (Danube) and listening her sweetheart is walking about and she is crying about her unanswered love.

sorry for my english, im ukrainian :)

  • @komonaut what a special please is ukrania!

  • It's an Ukrainian folk song..I remember it from my childhood :)

  • thank you for clarifying this...I have asked many Russians, Lithuanians, and I believe a Ukranian...noone knows what it means and deny it is any of their languages. On the playlist it states it is a Russian folk song. Thank you..I love this and all of her songs and still want to know what it means.
