These are the kind of birds we see in Australia in the zoos and wild life sanctuaries. They have them in the rain forests in such as Queensland, but I've never been there. It's very tropical, but so is Perth in the Summer.
We have the pink and grey galahs too, like a small cockatoo, and the white, sulphur-crested cockatoos, and small green and yellow parrots called '28s' for some reason, which can been seen in the trees around the streets, and the galahs. Lovely video!
i wennt to a zoo when i was in Mexico called Xcaret and they had lots and lots of parrots they had ones that would lay upside down in your arms all day! it was amazing!
I can just imagine that. There were lots of birds around that you could handle, but I only had a digital still camera for these shots so was limited for footage.
Hello Frank! It's good to see another video from you. I was able to visit the park when I was over for a visit in Sept 2007. It is in such a lovely setting (so many beautiful places there in England - I love it so much).
Yes, it's a place I can visit time after time. The last macaw was one of several flying loose. Quite a lot of other equally charming and friendly birds were roaming free and being hand fed by visitors.
You know, it's strange that non of them seemed to make any attempt to talk our language, although most were quite capable of doing so. I guess being in the company of many other birds meant that that didn't need to.
very lovely

Hi Dee, it was drizzling when we got there and rather cool, but it didn'y dampen our enthusiasm for these fantastic birds.

Lovely to look at, but some were definately finger biters though! Others just liked your hands with those strange little tongues.

You're welcome! Anything to do with birds always gets the thumbs up from me.

Were these birds pets at one time? Is this a sanctuary? Lovely birds!!
MissPickletoes 2 years ago
They do breed birds at this place, but they also take in unwanted birds, so the odd one or two maybe past pets.

Gorgeous birds! I imagine the "talking" birds could pick up any number of sayings in a public setting like that.
