@MisterNerevarine Yup if you have the restoration patch of kotor 2 the dark side decisions majority of the time does not come down to mugging random people you can actually be MANIPULATIVE in this game thats why I love kotor 2 plus it goes into depth how the jedi and sith orders can improve.
@Xenar17 perhaps it would involve you putting together the mystery of your disappearance - either you lose your memory (again, lol) and have to piece it together, or you make your own history by choosing certain things that you did in the past... if that makes sense.

The first KOTOR was like A New Hope, but KOTOR II was definitely The Empire Strikes Back. Darker, better characters, better dialogue, better atmosphere, better locations, a rich and complex storyline. Everything about it was better. It's just a shame that LucasArts butchered it.
i have kotor 1 and 2 on xbox still play ...i never thought that 1 was better than 2 i like both but i think i prefer 2 cuz :it tells you if a box is empty,you can change your companion aligment and turn them into jedi or sith ,this way you can way more manipulate them and theres more weapon and armors specially jedi robes
Why did they rush? They could have made more planets and the HK factory and added soundtracks for those. I would rather them take longer to make a better game than rush and make a worse game(still fun though)

We already know what Revan done, he left Republic space to venture to the Uknown Regions to allegedly fight the True Sith. But I think SW:TOR will advance the story somewhat. There is a trailer which shows someone in a temple finding Revan's mask

then he develops a bond to this individual linking their lives but kreia see this as a way to influence the exile to do as she wants but (depending on the side u chose in game) u fail her and she casts u aside feeling betrayed and takes up the mantle of sith lord again
then the apprentice must kill the master for better or worse
this story rocked way better than the films even though the films didnt and couldnt show everything that appended during that timeline, and it always had a dark pressence surrounding it which is felt in this song one of my fav star wars songs of all if only it were long
the thing that pisses me off about this game is it wouldve been game of the year had lucas arts actually gave it time to develop. i mean look at the half life series, everyone loves the game because its not rushed and everything makes sense, and i dont care what people say about wanting to continue Revan's story but the Exile was an amazing idea. And the idea of Kreia and the other Sith Lords, magnificent. I mean compare that to the stories of Darth Vader and Darth Maul.... they barely *cont*
Hold a candle to the stories of SIon and Nihilus and Kreia, specifically Nihilus' story. One of the most amazing sith lords actually has a pretty badass background. IMO he shouldve been in sions place at the academy, not SIon. Had he only learned to control his power. But anyways im rambling. Its just everyone loves the first kotor and give no credit to the second just becuase its glitched and what not. Personally, KOTOR2's story was even better than the 1st and its pretty amazing what obsidian

Sorry the first one was the best.... just needs a couple of mods for the feats just to make it more like this one... but still i kinda like the 2nd one... i like the robs... and some layouts... and the moon you landed on kicked ass... that was one of my favorites.... this one was mostly all talk in this one...
@AndrewH1993 Yes I enjoyed the first one quite a bit. It would be great if someone would port the entire thing to the new game engine. I enjoyed the second one but I found the storyline so depressing and dark, which wasn't such a bad thing but I couldn't help but feel hopeless a lot of the time. I would have really like to see how it turned out if it had been completed..

@Legoghost14 lol, because of their focus on profit. I'm thinking about the rushed production of KOTOR II, they jnew obsidian could do with more time (the game wasn't even complete when it came out) but they wanted the game for christmas.
I love Biowares' RPGs. Like Mass Effect, Jade Empire and KOTOR I and II. They're all super epic and the best Rpgs I've played. Though Fallout 3 is pretty good.
Is Lucas arts also to blame for not letting bioware make the second? Because I prefer kotor1's story over the second, even though the gameplay was improved the story should have definitely continued Revans role, not stupid holocrons making us guess what happened.
Bioware did most of BG series. Black Isle created Fallout series and Planescape: Torment. While all are classic games, you can actually see that their styles are different.
This is one of my favorite games. My only problem with it, is the last few parts are rushed, and detracts from the game =( I really wish Obsidian put more time and effort into finishing this game the right way.
I don't understand why people think it was bad. I preferred number 2 more than number 1, primarily because number 1 just pissed me the fuck off. It took me hours to get Juhani to talk to me, and even days to get her on my team. Then, when i killed her, the council started bitching. Also, the kath hounds were incredibly tough to beat with a normal lightsaber, so I had to swap Bastila's double before enetering teh Hangar at the Exchange place so I could use it. 2 rules!
@Merhawk102 I know, that was such a pity!!! KOTOR II could have had the same profundity as KOTOR I, if Obsidian would have had more time to make the game..
@Merhawk102 Obsidian actually wanted to release a patch for the game after it had been out for a while so that it would be more complete, but Lucasarts said no... for whatever reason.
@Merhawk102 I hate how they rushed it though loved the game anyway, but i'm waiting for someone from either company to pull their head out of their ass and realize they gave KOTOR 2 a patcher for a reason! If Blizzard can do it, so can Lucas Arts/Obsidian!
Korriban would have been cool, but in the rush to finish the game, they didn't go in depth about it...I mean, all of the other planets have some big event. (Onderun/Dxun is my favorite.)But Korriban is lame. Originally, Vash has a apprentice, and its his body you find in the torture room, and then you find Vash in the omb full of visions. And you and her force Sion and the Assassins off of Korriban together, and then you kill her...or she goes to Dantooine.
I kinda agree but it adds to the story of how much creepier and more depressing the sequel is since you've been away for years. Also, when you make it to a prestige level or something you get to do a flashback thing in the creepy tomb. Also adding to the story (plus you get to fight Revan, Malak, Sion, Bastila, a ton of Mandilorians, Jedi, and Sith... and you get some sweet stuff).

well, I all hoped for a summer release of couse but since they didn't...
yeah, I think they can make it until christmas. However, I mod games myself and therefore I know how quickly things can get delayed over and over again. Still, no worries, they are almost done, it won't die on the last few lines of code.

kreia or darth treya what ever is simply awesome concept
a leader striped of her power thrown out of all she knows meets another just like her.
then he develops a bond to this individual linking their lives but kreia see this as a way to influence the exile to do as she wants but (depending on the side u chose in game) u fail her and she casts u aside feeling betrayed and takes up the mantle of sith lord again
then the apprentice must kill the master for better or worse

this story rocked way better than the films even though the films didnt and couldnt show everything that appended during that timeline, and it always had a dark pressence surrounding it which is felt in this song one of my fav star wars songs of all if only it were long

the thing that pisses me off about this game is it wouldve been game of the year had lucas arts actually gave it time to develop. i mean look at the half life series, everyone loves the game because its not rushed and everything makes sense, and i dont care what people say about wanting to continue Revan's story but the Exile was an amazing idea. And the idea of Kreia and the other Sith Lords, magnificent. I mean compare that to the stories of Darth Vader and Darth Maul.... they barely *cont*

Hold a candle to the stories of SIon and Nihilus and Kreia, specifically Nihilus' story. One of the most amazing sith lords actually has a pretty badass background. IMO he shouldve been in sions place at the academy, not SIon. Had he only learned to control his power. But anyways im rambling. Its just everyone loves the first kotor and give no credit to the second just becuase its glitched and what not. Personally, KOTOR2's story was even better than the 1st and its pretty amazing what obsidian

Sorry the first one was the best.... just needs a couple of mods for the feats just to make it more like this one... but still i kinda like the 2nd one... i like the robs... and some layouts... and the moon you landed on kicked ass... that was one of my favorites.... this one was mostly all talk in this one...

@AndrewH1993 Yes I enjoyed the first one quite a bit. It would be great if someone would port the entire thing to the new game engine. I enjoyed the second one but I found the storyline so depressing and dark, which wasn't such a bad thing but I couldn't help but feel hopeless a lot of the time. I would have really like to see how it turned out if it had been completed..

@SpankingPaul Yeah i know exactly what you mean when feeling hopeless.... to me there wasnt enough action like the first one... though i loved the Mandloran base..... that kicked ass.... and on Onderon's Sky Tower I loved all the battles... just the game was mostly talk in my experience..... was wondering if you felt that way too?

Did in such a short amount of time. Kotor 3 is going to be an amazing game, if LucasArts can keep their pants on long enough to let Obsidian actually run the course of its job. But w/e. 5/5 to this amazing song. Live on Kreia. Live on.

I love Biowares' RPGs. Like Mass Effect, Jade Empire and KOTOR I and II. They're all super epic and the best Rpgs I've played. Though Fallout 3 is pretty good.

Is Lucas arts also to blame for not letting bioware make the second? Because I prefer kotor1's story over the second, even though the gameplay was improved the story should have definitely continued Revans role, not stupid holocrons making us guess what happened.

Bioware did most of BG series. Black Isle created Fallout series and Planescape: Torment. While all are classic games, you can actually see that their styles are different.

This is one of my favorite games. My only problem with it, is the last few parts are rushed, and detracts from the game =( I really wish Obsidian put more time and effort into finishing this game the right way.

I don't understand why people think it was bad. I preferred number 2 more than number 1, primarily because number 1 just pissed me the fuck off. It took me hours to get Juhani to talk to me, and even days to get her on my team. Then, when i killed her, the council started bitching. Also, the kath hounds were incredibly tough to beat with a normal lightsaber, so I had to swap Bastila's double before enetering teh Hangar at the Exchange place so I could use it. 2 rules!

Korriban would have been cool, but in the rush to finish the game, they didn't go in depth about it...I mean, all of the other planets have some big event. (Onderun/Dxun is my favorite.)But Korriban is lame. Originally, Vash has a apprentice, and its his body you find in the torture room, and then you find Vash in the omb full of visions. And you and her force Sion and the Assassins off of Korriban together, and then you kill her...or she goes to Dantooine.

I kinda agree but it adds to the story of how much creepier and more depressing the sequel is since you've been away for years. Also, when you make it to a prestige level or something you get to do a flashback thing in the creepy tomb. Also adding to the story (plus you get to fight Revan, Malak, Sion, Bastila, a ton of Mandilorians, Jedi, and Sith... and you get some sweet stuff).
