I think you nepali are the one who don't have much to eat and selling body in major cities of india and other country. Also what do you guys taught many thing when you guys didn't know anythiing beside killing your own king. look at your own country before making a comment on others.
These people so uncivilized. Nepalese orgin people taught them many things. They still live in the himilayans . They have nothing to eat .They have no idea what democracy or human rights meant to them. This is the true reflectition what autonomy regime actulally meant i.e country with two kings
i dont see your reasons for trying to put these people down, they dont need democracy or any systematic western way of life,
the community these people have is pure and obviously works for them, they are all happy and seem like very honest and caring people, i think it would be a shame if things were to change and their way of life poisoned with politics...
bhutans landscape, culture, people, and way of life all looks beautifull in my eyes and i wish i could experience something like this in my lifetime..
no place is perfect, but to speak badly about these people is an ignorant thing to do, i hope you think a little more vulnerably and open minded in the future brother :)
People are so quick to judge others if they live in a culture or way of life that's very different from theres and while it's true no place is perfect, Bhutan is a great deal closer than people in the United States or Europe
Thank you Uktheboy that was a cracking set of vids.I just heard that there was an Amazon program shown a couple of days ago back home on the Beeb.Any chance that might make its way on here.Once again 5 stars mate thanks
you might be right. i don't understand dzongkhag. so i could really figure that out. this is one of the topic came from the comments from the people who watched this video. the subtitles are never accurate, anyway.
why r u so pissed off? don't u think he is right? i think he is partly right. i think we bhutanese guys look pretty good in ghos and we feel proud to wear them, which leads to preserve our culture. this is a good thing. don't u agree with me?
actually if you listen carefully, he wasn't talking about wearing gho! he was talking about lagoe. we can see that he was never educated formally, so how can we expect him to know its significance. but i think its a pretty good reason he said. he is such a good guy i think...
I m sorry I don't understand dzongkhag. Does lagoe mean the white thing we wear inside a gho? I m sharchop, who has been living in Nepal all his life. I hope u will respond me positively. by the way, do u know if the music is Bhutanese or not? I really liked the music, in particular. hope to hear from u soon.
yeah lagey is the white cuffs on the gho, tegho is the white shirt. how interesting, a sharchop who's lived in nepal all his life, how'd that happen? yes i really like the soundtrack too, especially the part immediately after he talks about realizing that his desire has brought him suffering, after the yaks turn back down. i've been looking for the soundtrack online but unfortunately i think this is going to be really hard to find. anyways thanks for the upload uktheboy.
i love putting on lagey. it's so beautiful. I have one with me here as well. I can't wait to put it on someday future. and yeah, that will much grateful if you could find the track and send me the track. Cheers and take care, friend:)
yotongla, You're an idiot for getting pissed at the guy for saying that. I am just amazed at how wonderfully hospitable Kencho is to this foreiegner even if he doesn't seem to be someone who has come in contact with a lot of foreigners. an example of of true Bhutanese hospitality. Its something much more than we can expect from "modern" Bhutanese who speak English and think they know everything about foreigners.

This was easily the best episode of the Tribe, although all of them have been great. Bruce always manages to make friends wherever he goes.

Besides why do we need a complex reason for it anyways. It looks good so there. That happy-go-lucky reasoning is straightup GNH mayn.
