Rend Lake- Man made? Okay, I'm convinced (updated 5/16/11)

OKAY....... I'M CONVINCED...... REND LAKE IS MANMADE. I appreciated the educated people who posted, they have actually educated me concerning Rend lake. The "less than educated", with thier posts containing profanity have been deleted and will continue to be deleted on my videos.

Have you no knowledge whatsoever of Southern Illinois and it's history? Of course it is man made! What does it matter how large the thing is? Much like tsidneyh, my entire family have lived in the area our whole lives, and my father was part of the US Army Corps of Engineers that helped BUILD that lake. And it wasn't in 3 A.D. The lake was authorized in 1962 and finished in March of 1973. Before you go on a rant, check your facts.

You are so wrong!!! I have lived here my whole life and yes it is man made. i have pictures of it before it was a lake. yes, most of the land was already low to begin with, but they still dug a lot of the lake out. It took 3 years to do and 2 years to fill up.
