  • I always do this, it's a damn waste to have to grind away the stone, so if I need to put some extra pressure on an edge of a knife, I will use the high spots.

  • Thanks Murray, I earlier blew away an 1.5 hour, (prime time Saturday afternoon) and about six sheets of 60 grit trying to rehabilitate a Norton sharpening stone. IF i had wandered out of the garage and You Tubed your clip first, net gain, about 1.25 hours, and about three bucks up on sandpaper inventory. Thanks again,for path forward.
