  • you crack me up, you act so nice :) Nice garden! Hope to see more. All about survival....surviving without convenience.

  • them celebrity tomatos are pretty good me and my grandpa plant them pretty much every year

  • how long does it take for squash to come from the flowers? i got lotsa flowers. but no fruit. and how long for eggplant and g.pepper to come out? it's taking loooong. maybe i'm doing something wrong. i got horse manure and fertilizer in my soil.

  • great gardening stuff, you oughta make a profile or video series just of gardening stuff instead all that survivawhatchamacallit stuff

ps survivalist stuff needs a new name it has bad stuff connected in the popular imagination (falsely of course...)

used to all this was just stuff your folks would teach ya growin up but alot of folks missed out on that with divorce rates up and too many people in cities

  • Hey, can any one tell me when to harvest canteloupe? thanks.

  • you just pick it.

  • Good stuff mate, practical garden is a great thing.

I'm heading back to NZ soon & looking to geting back into that. The country and nature in your vids definately reminds me of home!

I don't get those problems with bugs, more with mildew. One good trick I found for mildew & fungus tho, is a mix of water and baking soda.

For the bugs you might wanna try using poles to raise the plants get the leaves further from the ground, since a lot of herbivourous insects may live close to the soil

  • Great garden, I envy you, I just planted my squash a week ago. Thank you for sharing.

  • AWESOMENESS!

    Great video!

  • love your vids

  • How do you keep poisonous snakes out of a garden like that. Beautiful garden by the way.

  • hey chief, for us becoming country boys could you make some videos as your plants mature on how you harvest seeds from each of the plants to put up seeds for next year...please // thank you

  • You must be from down south, my garden is quite a bit behind yours and i'm in colorado, I planted in april but I've been successively planting since and alot of my seeds didn't come up so I am going to be planting more today! Urghh.

  • thanks for sharing this

  • This is a stupid question, but have you thought about growing those genetically altered plants that have potatoes on the bottom and tomatoes up top. You'd get twice the food for your space and effort.

Might be something to look into, unless you're against the genetically altered plants.

If you are, can you do a video about why? :)

  • LOL zucchinis are hermaphrodites.

  • your videos must be for yankees who live in the city us country bot know how to hunt fish grow our own food but nice job on the videos

  • I've heard (and belive) that when you see someone buying zucchini in summer from the store, it is a sign that the poor person has no friends... be nice to anyone buying zucchini, they need the smiles and prayers of the rest of us that either grow squash, or have friends who need to get rid of their extra squash..

  • excellent video for the beginning gardener!

  • nice vid

  • Nice job Kev..

I love zucchini. I've eaten the flowers...my aunt dunks them in a batter then fry's them.

  • i grow pumkins just to eat the flowers pick them early in the A.M. pop the center out rip them into a few pieces drag in some egg than flour than brown in oil/pan salt/pepper good stuff like baby fryed squash but better!!!
