I was wondering what the deal was with all the hype in MD about this guy. Seems like he came out of nowhere, but I was wrong.

The clips I've seen of this dude prove loud and clear that he is the real deal. Crisp technique and his commentary is succinct and valuable.

I know right? I was like where has he been all our lives...and then you hear about his upbringing and work ethic. He was doing weddings, parties, barmitz (sp) in the Chicago area... then he was getting hired to do studio work all over. He has over a 1,000 "jingles" that he's played on... doing Corporate work, etc... So yeah.. I agree, he's the real deal.
