Hahahahaha. I couldn't stop laughing at the ugliest 8th note ever written. 4:09. But at the end of the day, it does not matter how you count it. It matters if you can hear it. Then you can write it and perform it.
Um idk if anyone call help but i'm in the 7th grade I decided to do a challenge this year for my school's solo and ensemble contest by doing a class A solo and on it it has 16th notes but instead of 4 notes being in the thing theres 6 can someone please tell me how to count this?
hey man ive been trying to figure this out forever, ive been trying to use it to help with strums and picking knowing how fast to play the note instead of trying to do it by ear is effing amazng so thanks agian man much apreicated
I am playing 4/4 timing and playing 6 notes per beat (on guitar) - what is that called? a 24th note?? I am not playing them like triplets and it is very metronomieeee (i.e. not staggered timing) just 1 2 3 4 5 6/ 1 2 3 4 5 6 / 1 2 3 4 5 6 / 1 2 3 4 5 6-
WOW u realllllyyyy helped me! i was having trouble with 16th notes!!!! but i have a question, im in jazz band and its my first year. im having a bunch of trouble with coda and al coda. can u help me with that?? if not its fine1:) thanks
counting 32nd notes is pretty hard. Since they're played so fast its hard to count every note up to speed with your mouth. So i count every 2nd note. 1-e-&-a 2-e-&-a 3-e-&-a 4-e-&-a. Thats the way i do it.
I'm in the middle of learning to read music. I can read all the notes on the guitar and now I'm having troubles with 8th and 16th notes, but this video helps me out alot! Thanks Walt!
i am still trying to learn to read music its hard for me.i taught my self every thing but never learnd to read the music i am lacking that. thanks walt for your help.you are 1 of the nice guys.1 of theas days you will find misses right.or you alrady did see you friday budy

Sry, I mean 'konokol' and not konakol

@bakbak654 its ok we can still be friends!
waltribeiro 1 year ago
My suggestion: stop counting in english and use konakol. It's much more appropriate to count notes ;)

suggestion on counting 32nd notes.....
1e&u&e&u/2e&u&e&u/3e&u&e&u/4e&u&e&u
suggestion: use the cross sign for the & sign. Easier to understand. Take care! You are a wonderful instructor.

Yup. 32nds are twice as fast as 16th, but I always get so ding dang confused anyway. Awesome vid, you're on Google btw (how I found you). Thnks!!

your playing 16th note triplets. they just dont sound like triplets for some reason to you. no suchthing as a 24th note

thats a better way of counting 32nd notes imo, you count so fast in this technique its so easy to lose track of count.
