  • Your option select here should be Air HK. before touching the ground buffer c.hk. and the minute you touch the ground c.mk cancel into medium firball. this way you're safe from everything except the reversal ofcourse.

    Why would you do c.mk x mp kikouken upon landing, that way you're giving up pressure for a measly 15dmg in chip or something. If you're close and have frame-advantage you should always be pressuring with frame-traps/throws etc.

  • @skatanmilla This is what i usually do with chun li. the main pressure tool is m.fireball and s.mp poke. very affective and aggressive. specially if you're opponent is stuck on the wall(the end of the screen). i just do lp lp lp then s.mp m.fireball. one more s.mp and overhead flip kick. in case it's block focus dash and grab.. believe works just perfect.

  • Can't get the timing for this safe jump right, I've gotten reversal LP SRK, slightly delayed LP SRK and reversal MP SRK to beat it. Do I need to walk forward that exact distance, and how early/late should I be inputting the HK?

    I really don't know what tips to give, just keep trying until you find the right timing.

    Once you get it down it's not that hard to get consistent with it, I can land it pretty much whenever I want now.

    I don't see why it wouldn't, I haven't been playing too much Chun in super.

  • This is good to bait out reversals, but it'll lose to late strong/fierce/ex DP (followed up with FADC -> Ultra), so use it with care.

  • This is great stuff but it seems situational. Againts a conditioned ryu player seems risky, i'd probably use it if I knew he was to trow out random Fierce EX DP's all the time but i'd rather just stay on the ground, I have my own anti air options. But any info to level up chun is good.

  • it's a good video. but i think the safe jump dont work with lp shoryuken.

    the safest option against all three shoryuken will be cross up lk safe jump after throw

  • ..it kinda sux,, its just a jump over. Don't know why people would be amazed by this.. BTW, why would a Ryu player do a Shuriken when the oppenent is so far away? .. to hit some air?

  • are you dumb? these are all obviously direct same-side jump-ins. it's essentially a completely safe, completely free jump in.

    hey skatanmilla, this is really cool and is basically what akuma can do to stuff wake up dragon punches with a correctly spaced dive kick.

    i wonder if it works with other things with similar divekicky hitboxes like bison's superman fierce, i've seen that stuff everything.

  • yeah ex srk moves forward quite a bit, lp srk moves forward the least.

  • People have been doing this with double fierce in the air for a year.

  • double fierce doesn't work like this against Ryu, Chun puts her hibox too far back and gets hit/trades with the shoryuken.

  • Just tested in practice, this does not work all the time, maybe about 80%. I can still lp, DP Chun, but the timing is pretty strict.

  • In your comment you said this works on ...etc.. does this mean EVERY knockdown? Does this work on all the DPs? Including Sagat?

  • with sagat after a forward throw dash j hp will beat all tus and they all wiff

    Thanks for the tip. :) About the jump kick, if Ryu does nothing the kick whiffs, is it supposed to be like that?
