  • Bravo, Dr. ma

  • Both Taiwan and Mainland will share our common fate, Aman bitch

  • Hi bitch, Taiwan is none of your business

  • I wanted to thank you for this great video..

  • ROC was founded in 1912.

Taiwan(Formosa) was a part of Japan from 1895 to 1945.

ROC started to rule Taiwan since 1945, but Japan officially gave up Taiwan in 1951.

ROC was kicked out of China in 1949.

He is trying to fool ppl who don't know Taiwan's history.

  • if i were amanpour, i dont like to talk to ma anymore

  • He is a liar.

Does Taiwanese agree illegal ROC to be ON Taiwan?

  • Since those scandals cause by the former president and his family. I'm proud that we have a honorable new president to lead our country. Some body says that they regret for letting Ma become new president? HA~ It's funny~ It sounds like they r Ma's supporters?! but according to their acts, I can tell back to the presidential election in 2008, these ppl didn't vote for Ma. With the intention of these ppl I'm ashamed of them!

  • THat Bitch report had no respect for the Taiwanese President! The questions were good and sharp! Put Ma right up against the fense! The Bitch did her job but with no respect to Ma. It was like interrogation! Well... What can we expect from CNN??..... Fair Play? NO! They hate the fact that Asia is on the rise and united in peace and harmony! UNITE ASIA! SOON, the west will have to look upon us!

  • This man is a fuckin' scumbag!

  • Ma Ying-jeou is a liar.

  • @narwhalst

MA a liar? You mean the Chen, right? The Corrupted Chen Family!

  • @popoTb Yeah~Ma and Chen, they are all liars. And now you are happy??

    Ma Ying-jeou is a liar. 馬英九最拿手的就是說謊時臉不紅氣不喘。台灣竟然選了一個反對國會全面改選、反對戒嚴、反對開放禁報、反對制定新憲法、反對總統民選、反對公投的總統,真是諷刺。

  • @narwhalst

Hey politician are all liars! The point is that lying for the better and who is lying for the worst!

  • @popoTb the point is that lying for the better?? better to whom?? 一切都只是為了官員自己的政治生涯與利益!!

  • @narwhalst

Better to the people of Taiwan because Ma's Lies are creating stability which Taiwan has lacked since 1996 when Lee came into office. Ma's Lies are benefiting Mainland China and its 1.3 billion people becuz it wouldn't have to worry about Taiwan or to ponder about using force. Stability will eventually bring worth and prosperity. But Ma's Lies are not doing any good to my home town (Hong Kong) becuz Taiwan now has direct flight to China!

  • way to read the scribe, Mr. Ma.

  • When comparing with Hong Kong, he said Taiwan is democracy,

He used the word, "democracy" instead of the word "country"

(Hong Kong is not a country for sure)

He used ambiguity to fool people.

And I hate him use "we" all the time, 'cause His opinion is so different from most of Taiwanese's opinions.

  • @Troy1025 he is the president of Taiwan, He represents all 23,000,000 of Taiwanese people, if he can't use we, who is more qualify to use we?

troy1025 are u taiwanese? keep your mouth shut if you are not, and if you are Im ashamed of you, because as a Taiwanese, you don't even respect your president, how can people from other country respect us?

  • Comment removed

  • @j9460429 I'm impress you really know the point! and this is the main problem in ROC Taiwan! some people in TW are trying to ignore the fact that the most of people are hoping president Ma can do more to make our country be stronger. However, if president Ma do so and success; He'll reject the opposition's wells, and those opposition just don't want to face the truth that they are not the one stand for the most of people in Taiwan.

  • @j9460429 Back in 2004-08, many Americans didn't show much respect for their president at that time. Does that make the US less democratic? Or is it just the opposite??

I'm Taiwanese, for your information. And I strongly agree with Troy1025 about Ma's opinion not being equal to every Taiwanese's. As a matter of fact, his party has been defeated several times in a row recently, because people here find it hard to trust him when he hardly tells the truth.

  • @mygoat0604 so what did you think about american ppl when they talked shit about their own president? didnt you think they sucked? did that make Bush not the president of united states? or he could still use "we" when he spoke for U.S. as a president?

  • @mygoat0604 As i've just told Troy, many of u seem to bear a misunderstanding of politics. If you're in University, I recommend you take the Political Science 101 to get a better understanding before voicing off on such dissenting issues. If you never been to university, then I apologize for this reply as this would clearly explain your ignorance. A democracy is BUILT on that fact that there will always be conflicting interests, thus impossible for Ma to represent every Taiwanese.

  • @EmosewaNmad

In order to make Taiwan stronger, we need to educate our people, not the leader

  • @j9460429

It's YOU not familiar with Taiwan

Welcome to Taiwan to see how people regret for letting Ma being President

He himself even did not dare to say he's Taiwan's president in front of China

And he sucks when disaster happens, he got no intention and/or ability to help Taiwanese

Now, he is no longer represent Taiwanese's real opinion, (see the poll, or do it yourself)

Taiwanese can't wait to see him step down.

Are you really a Taiwanese or just a Chinese but pretending you are Taiwanese?

  • @Troy1025 I know the poll, and I know the real opinion of taiwanese ppl

but since he is your prisident, since cnn interviewed him as a representative for TW, whatever he said represented TW, doesnt matter you like it or not, if you r not agree w him, you can vote for somebody else 2012, but for now, he is the president of Taiwan right now.

  • @Troy1025 he tried very hard to make taiwan better, but he is not very good at acting like those politician from green party, look how good president chen was at talking? and see what he did the past 8 yrs?nothing but embazzle...

look at the big picture of taiwan, isnt it better than 8 years ago?

or your mind is narrow enough to just see how he react on rescuing? he is not as good on the politician games as green party.

  • @Troy1025 Sorry to break it to you Troy, but you seem to misunderstand the concept of representative democracy and am quite ignorant of the reality of Taiwan's political situation. Taiwan uses what is known as representative democracy meaning we the electorate vote for him, and thus trust in his ability as a (key word here) "trustee" to represent us politically, meaning we gave him the mandate to do the job. Which is right, since most people in Taiwan are as politically ignorant as you.

  • @Troy1025 you dont watch part 2, do u? Ma said " Taiwan needs the arms to defend its 「country」 & its democracy..." dont garble his statement just by one sentence... & however he is "the president of Taiwan" now. he represents Taiwan to other countries.... no doubt he should use "we" or you want Ma said "some of us"? It's such a joke.

  • @Troy1025 so why taiwanese chose mayingjiu if taiwan is democracy. just for curiosity

  • Ma was deflecting the entire time. He wasn't answering Amanpour's questions at all. She asked him to explain his low approval rate and he said the economy's gonna improve.....

  • @liangpearlmit That`s what Ma is best at, if you have ever watched his debates with the other politicians in Taiwan. He thinks he is clever doing so, but that can only please his certain members of his political party and no others!

  • @liangpearlmit Hey, your post confused me somewhat, could you explain how exactly did he NOT answer the question? She asked a loaded question about his low approval rating, and he replies by stating that they are low right now due to economic downs, so economic improvements will lead to better approval. So how's this deflecting again?

  • @EmosewaNmad I understand what you mean. Here i am saying that Taiwan's economic situations doesn't represent and doesn't perfectly explain Ma's low approval rate. A lot of stuff has happened since Ma's inauguration, and if you have been watching the news on Ma's reaction and "contribution" to some certain incidents, for example, typhoon morakot, you'd know that he is obviously using the worldwide economic recession as an excuse.

  • Comment removed

  • @liangpearlmit wait so you actually didn't catch what he was trying to imply? the nation is dissatisfied, not because of ma, but because of the poor economy. people just blame the president for their own laziness... they expect the president and government to cover up all their expenses. isn't this the exact situation in every other country? what ma was trying to elucidate was that his low approval ratings will improve (not like he cares anyways) when the economy grows.

  • You can't blame her, over 96% people in this world(include Taiwan) think Taiwan is Taiwan, China is China and 2 country.

  • @loveforchina and it's true

  • Amanpour is disregarding the controversial issue between the ROC and Taiwna Independence. The official name for Taiwan is call Republic of China. I guess it's due to the Chinese Communist's one China policy! Therefore, she couldn't talk about it. Otherwise, she must do some more study before she interviewing President Ma.
