can hardly grasp the idea that ronnie's gone, been in love with him since first heard his voice on radio caroline when i was at school,he'll live forever in my heart
Ronnie drew god bless you, my dad passed a month before you a Dublin man Sandymount aged 74,only a year difference in age, what I do know from the age of 8 your infectious sound, regularly heard sundays and especially family party resulted in me loving your sound,Ronnie R.I.P and give my dad a hug from me I miss him so much god bless you Ronnie
So what are we doing then..? are we going to really keep this giant of a man's memory really, really alive? My first suggestion is that we gather in Dublin every anniversary of his death and spreading outward from Merrion Row and O'Donaghue's, we listen to serious amounts of his music, drink a little, (responsibly of course) then swop our favourite stories of what he meant to us all as individuals. There could be other venues at the same time, (all suggestion appreciated.)
God Bless You Ronnie. A true folk legend in the world of Irish music. You are hopefully gone to a better place, joining with other music legends from the fair isle - Luke, Rory & Ciaran. Rest in Peace Ronnie, if there is craic in that new place lead it on and enjoy it......
