  • I prefer typing but if I'm doing lovey dovey stuff. : ) Write it out

  • 1. Computers, I grew up in a technology household and learned to type before I can even remember. Hand writing takes me three times as long, and hurts a lot more for me. But when I type, I can type while I think and it's pretty much simultaneous.

    2. No, but I might when I reach taht stage.

    3. Yes. Yes I would. But I'd probably invest more money in getting you a plane ticket to see Min.

  • 1. I love writing, and usually typing is faster, but when I'm blocked or having trouble with a piece I'm trying to write, I haven't found a better cure than a notebook and a pen.

    2. I actually finished nursing school and have been working as a nurse for six years now, but I'm back in school this year for shiatsu and massage therapy. I think I would be too worried about dropping out... tuition is expensive, and what if I don't go back? But I love massage.

  • glad you decided to do what you wanted with school :)

1-i used to handwrite poems and type everything else but now i pretty much type everything.

2-two years in to college i dropped from being a teaching major to just english. i gave up a scholarship that i had to pay back :(

3-money- see above as to why i have no money!

  • Yeah, English Language can be amazing but you have to do what you love in order to be happy in life...

  • 1 i cant write with out a computer. I have a handwriitng disablity. I wouldn't be able to read it. 2.)No, i haven't got to that point but i dunno. it would depend on the circumstances in my life.

  • 1) I write things out by hand if my laptop isn't around. Otherwise I love typing and it's easier for me to get things down quickly if I use that skill. My handwriting is not fun to read.

    2) Right after I graduated high school I took a year and a half off. Honestly, one of the best things I ever did. Helped me learn a lot about myself and put a spark back in me for learning.

    3) Only if you do the same for the hairdressers here.

Thanks so much for these videos, I love them!

  • one. yea i prefere to write things in hand, and defenetly if it was poetry. it just fits the genre of peotry to be written in hand insted of the monotome writing from a pc.

to. yea well next year i am preseding to something that is the same as high school in denmark. but yea i would defently drop out and chose a difrent course but only if i was certen that i new it was that i wanted to do.

three. yea i would if i had enough money then yea why not :D

  • 1) My handwriting is sloppy so I don't like doing too much handwritten stuff, but it's a nice personal touch for some things. I'm actually doing a collab with 2 friends where we write each other hand-written letters (SnailMates if you want to check it out)

    2) I've also been taking a year or so off of school to work and such. It's nice not having school to worry about, but I miss it sometimes. Hoping to be able to save enough to go back soon though

    3) No but I know the feeling. darn barbers

  • 1.) handwritten because if i type it then i will get all confused cuz the letters are all in front of me and it just confuzzles me... and my fingers hav spazz attacks on the keyboard

2.)no i havent gone to college yet but i dont think i would unless it was lik in my words retarded

3.)yes but its just cuz barbers everywhere are retarded i wanted my bangs trimmed to my eyebrows and they cut them halfway up my forehead!

  • 1.) I usually hand write everytrhing first, especially plans a drafts, and when it's all good, I typ in up..

2.) I haave droped out of a college course that said it was Creative writing, but focused more on media and journalism. I'm now doing actual creative writing in Uni.

3.) you're the second person I've heard, that their barber just doesn't listen... but apparently hairdressers do...you could try one of them? they do men aswell..

  • The pillows...they are just....they're so boss. I can't even form coherent sentences.

  • you have an autobot and dicepticon pillows... i am super duper jealous!

  • 1 - I usually handrwrite, then handwrite again for a final version and if i'm happy with it, i type it on the computer. Long process yep...

2 - I went to university to study cinema for three years, then realized i didn't like it so i quit, got a job for one year and started a new school to become what i love : a cinema make up artist ;) You're doing the right thing Liam, take the time to find your path.

    3 - I'm broke :D

  • 1. typing, it's nicer on my wrist/fingers and i just hate physically writing things.

    2. applied to universities. don't know what im gonna do :/

    3. sorry, wear a hat until it grows back? :)

  • 1) I don't write creatively,\unless I can't avoid it as i'm awful

    2) started the app to uni and then realised that it wasn't for me and now am not applying and will be joining the armed forces in sept instead

    3) no

  • 1. when i'm writing creatively, i type. but if i'm writing something for someone, i like handwriting it.

    2. i would just change my major. but yea, if i couldn't then i would drop out

    3. hair grows. and i'm poor.

  • 1.) I much prefer handwriting stuff. It just seems more real, or something.. :D

2.) I haven't, but if my course really wasn't working for me I would. There's no point going with something you don't like, you might as well change when you can! :D

    3.) It'll grow back... :P

  • 1. I'm better on the computer 'cause I'm on it all day and my handwriting is terrible. unless I want to take the time to use calligraphy.

    2. I took basic classes part-time for two years and then got bored and quit, although I liked most of my classes. now I'm starting a business.

    3. yes, 'cause my last haircut wasn't so good either, need to go to someone else. but I don't really have extra money right now. I usually just cut my own hair 'cause it's cheaper.

  • 1) I almost always write on the computer. My hands keep up with my brain much better that way.

    2. I actually did it.... TWICE!!!

I dropped out of Community college with its ever changing rules re graduation and very odd registration patterns (I want to own a business being able to explicate 2 poems and compare and contrast them is something I will need to do on a DAILY BASIS!! NO WRITING MEMOS WILL NEVER HAPPEN) to pursue a culinary degree.

Then I dropped out of that and have yet to go back

  • Don't go to a barbers in Edinburgh then, or go to sip n snip then you'll be drunk too. (y) Toni & Guy all the way :P

  • 1. I rarely hand write it anymore. When I write, I get frustrated because I have a billion idea's buzzing inside my head and I can't seem to make them work. I rarely like anything I write.. If it's handwritten, it sits there annoying me.. If it's on the computer, I can backspace it all and start again.

    2. If, halfway through the course, I decided it wasn't for me.. No I would keep going.. Acting for me, and they're hard to get into.

    3. Of course! Though your hair looks perfectly fine!

  • 1. I write on my hand a lot. Wouldn't call it creative, though.

    2. Yes, I had dropped out to work full-time in a GAME store, but it wasn't as great as I thought it was gonna be, so I got transferred to Part-Time and started college again.

    3. I specifically grow my hair long for that reason, figuring that when they inevitably take too much off, there's still a fair amount left.

  • Posted on my 15th b day ^^

  • 1 I like handwriting more, is weird but i find it more personal.

2 I finish iuniversity i liked what i studied but there was a time when i was seriously thinking about changing majors.

3 Yes, and please lets make this a global campaign cause im afraid to go to cut my hair

  • 1. im a typer- i can touch type tonnes faster than hand writing and its easier when you have something you need to get down before you forget it. although there are times when handwritting just feels..right.

    2. haha im years away from that, but the only thing i would stop my education for is a major role on a tv series..which probably wont happen :P

    3. never! just come back to australia-we have waaay better hairdressers... (example one: min, example two: my doggy)

    also-is that facial hair?!

  • funny you should mention dropping out of college. im actually planning on dropping out in december to become a blacksmith

  • that is cool :P

  • 1. I prefer writing longer things (like essays/short stories) online because it is easier to move things around, and shorter things (like poems) by hand because it makes it seem more personal.

    2. I can't imagine what I would do if I wasn't in school...I would probably just switch majors if I was unhappy. I plan on staying in school 4 a long time as I am pre-med. :) The real world scares me a little.

    3. Haircuts hardly ever come out the way u want. Maybe if u brought a picture they'd understand.

  • 1. I always write things in a notebook first, edit in the notebook, and then edit as I type them up.

    2. I dropped out of my community college because i decided ir was a waste of time and money until i had an idea of what I wanted to do and was a bit more emotionally equipped to deal with it all.

    3. Entertaining idea, but I just spent all my spare my on on ChartJackers.

  • and 3. Sorry I got cut off. First time in a youtube comment.

Entertaining but you might want to just find a new barber or go to a hair salon rather than a barber?

  • 1. I would much rather type - its so much quicker ^.^

    2. Im not at the Uni stage yet but i would definetley drop out if i hated the course :-)

    3. 100% YES

Oh - and i just want to mention that i think a film studies course would be PERFECT for you - your brilliant at making videos for youtube so im sure you will love it 8D

  • 1. typing for creative writing usually, but i do have a tiny journal that i ramble in.

    2. i did half a year of a health course at uni. gave me panic attacks. school and i are not friends. dropped out, found an awesome job.

    3. feel your pain. demand a refund.

  • 1. I still keep a handwritten journal and an online journal. But when it comes to papers etc I prefer technology my brain works as fast as my fingers do.

    2. I am currently taking sometime off right now, not because I dont want to do what i"m doing but because I"m tired and need to get my head back on and health issues in order

    3. not until i do it in the states because they dont seem to listen here and know wtf I mean when I say i want 1/2 inch LEFT on my head.. not off my head.

  • 1. typing is the best way to go for me- my handwriting is atrocious.

    2. Yep to the dismay of my family I dropped out of law and went into communications where I just finished up my degree specialising in PR- best decision of my life!!!

    3. Sorry I just spent all my money doing a publicity event for shine* a charity which prevents against domestic violence (yes that was a plug and no I'm not ashamed lol)

  • 1. i type my creative writing if its a short story or a book because it helps me get my thoughts down faster (and it corrects my spelling for me :P) but if im going to write a poem im going to hand write it because it helps for the creative juices.

    2. i was considering taking a year off to write because thats what i want to do but people advised against it and i found a new course i wanted to pursue on top of writing (oddly enough its film)

    3. no, it looks fine, deal with it.

  • 1. Typing - if you're even remotely good at it, it's more economical and just plain easier than handwriting.

    2. Not quite there yet - but I'm sure I'll have the same thing happen to me as it did to you. I have absolutely no idea what I want to do. The subjects in high school I'm taking are all completely different: Science, Economics, History, Music. GRR!

    3. Why certainly Liam. Haircuts are stupid. We should all just be bald. As that won't happen, we need to have the best hair possible.

  • 1. I prefer to type. Since everything is uniform, it's much easier to read the words and is quicker to delete and change things at will with copy and paste.

    2. Nopes. I've remained an English Education major and I'm almost done with college (grad in spring!!!)

    3. YES. I hate when hairstylists don't listen. They're ruining their reputation when they mess up on someone else's hair!!!!

  • my high school class did a 100'x75' grid of that poster behind you-with the beam-we each got a small piece of it and had to draw/paint/whatever our square and put it together to make a huge one--it was good fun

  • 1. I prefer to handwrite stuff.

    2. I'm not quite there yet, and though I don't really know what I want to do, I'm pretty sure that if I didn't like what I was doing, I would.

    3. YES.

  • 1. I would much rather type!

    2. Not at that stage yet, but I'm not sure I would. But that's definitely just my personal opinion.

    3. I think that is a very sound investment! But your hair isn't bad at allll mister

  • I prefer hand written but I don't mind typing.

  • 1. When I'm doing creative writing, I handwrite... it just seems more creative. At least for the first draft anyway.. then I edit as I type.

    2. I have and would do so again, it makes no sense to make yourself miserable about something you don't even like.

    3. I would... mostly cause I think its a shame when hair like that gets massacred. Like my friend Jeff... he has the same problem you do. It is very sad.

  • 1. I type faster than I handwrite. Yep.

    2. No. Yes I would.

    3. Nope, sorry. I haz no moneys.

    <3

  • 1. Bit of both. A lack of filing skills means typing stuff up is very handy. Work is submitted via email, so I do a lot of my actual writing on the computer. Working on paper is good for getting out of the house, but also has the downside of getting "Writers hand" - I'm left handed, my hand gets covered with ink!

    2. I dropped out of my second course at college because I was very ill. I was doing the thing I'm more interested in at the same time, and still do it now.

    3. maybe after payday :P

  • 1. Handwrite brain storms always, then type up the final piece!

    2. LOL, already dropped out of my course. Wouldn't mind a bachelor in art history, but where would that get me?!

    3. It will grow back...meanwhile, make the most of it!

  • I prefer typing as it looks neater. I'm not at uni stage yet. I'm applying next year. I kind of want to take a gap year, but my parents are really against it. I don't think I'd drop out as my parents would probably get really annoyed and disappointed and blah but I'm hoping I won't start disliking my course. I'm hoping to do English.

  • 1. Always

    2. Yes, if it wasnt for me :)

    3. YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! *Hands all wagers*

  • 1. I prefer to write by hand for an outline and then expand when typing.

    2. Yea, I was doing music, then switched to fashion design, now I'm doing professional makeup, I should be doing music or animation by January.

    3. Er, sorry. Is broke.

Forget the questions. Is that a beard?

  • 1. I only handwrite for really personal stuff.

    2. I dropped out of college when (a) I knew what I wanted to do, and (b) I was fully equipped to do it. It was hard but totally worth it.

    3. Hair grows back, dude.

  • 1. I prefer typing, because I type faster than I write and I don't like a messy piece of paper filled with crossed out words. I've even written a letter on my computer first and then handwritten it afterwards :)

    2. I'm starting uni next year. I waited a year so that I wouldn't drop out (which my friend just did because she started too early). I don't like giving up, so I would probably stay even if I didn't like it, so a break is just what I needed.

    3. xD

  • 1. I love handwriting! Everything I write is all by hand even though I have a laptop.

    2. Not at that stage yet but if I didnt think the course I was doing was for me I would probably consider it.

    3.Recession!

  • 1.) I do prefer typing, mostly because my handwriting is terrible by genetics.

2.) I would probably never drop out of college mostly because I'm not for wasting my folk's money.

3.) I would but my Dad says not to give money to strangers. (By that he means Strange People) It's not me who thinks you strange, he does.... in other words I'm not allowed to give money to internet personalities because to my Dad they're all pretty damn strange. Unless you want me to solicite you many in secret.

  • 1. Typing, I am not a very neat person, so in order for my work to be legible, it needs to be typed.

    2. Still in high school, but yes I would since if I am not happy with it now, I would have no reason to be happy with it many years from now

    3. No, only because I am saving up for a trip to New York....

  • 1. I much prefer handwriting. Sitting at the computer distracts me too much. My mind wanders.....

    2. I'm not at Uni yet, but i will be next year. I totally understand your decision to leave, but i just don't think I'll ever be in a position. I've known what i wanted to do since i was like 9 years old.

    3. If I could, I would, But I don't know how. (Kudos to whoever knows what song that's from!)

I"M SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR HAIR!!!

  • 1. Typing

2.I had the same problem and I dropped out, granted I already graduated, but I have realized what I wanted to do was videography and theater tech.

    3. Yes

  • 1) I'm kinesthetic. The feel of writing makes me tingle.

2)I have been considering it lately, but a trip to the zoo helped me remember why I want to be a zookeeper. If I really didn't want to do it though, I'd definitely try to switch majors.

    3) college student = bum. Sorry mate

  • You have my greatest sympathy regarding haircuts in edinburgh. I have never had a good one.

  • 1. depends, sometimes i scribble down ideas but alot of the time i type out the fully fleshed out stuff

    2. if the course didn't interest me then yes

    3. i'd give you the money but then there wouldnt be the every so often video where you start with pointing out your haircut and how you hate it, which i find entertaining

  • i don't do much creative writing really (except nanowrimo now, which you'd have to be insane not to word process) but I do handwrite letters to 2 of my friends in america...

As a matter of fact, yes. I quit Uni last year for the same sort of reasons. I was doing Fine Art, but i felt like it was taking me nowhere, so i took a year, and next year i'll be studying graphic design. :D

  • 1. Even though at school we have laptops for every class, I handwrite everything.

    2. Not in uni yet, but I dropped Chemistry for Extention English and dropped Physics for Art and have never looked back.

    3. I don't have much money to spare, but I find hitting them with a salmon sends the message pretty well.

  • or 3. You could just see my hairdresser, he's a genius!

  • 1. I do like typing my creative writing, mostly cause I hate my handwriting quite a lot.

    2. I could see doing that possibly, I think it's awesome that you're doing what you really love rather then what you think you "should" be doing :)

    3. Hahahaha it's not that bad, I promise!

  • YOUR HAIR! *points and laughs*

    1. I do both. Type on the comp when a pad of paper isn't handy or if I've lost my special pen, but I prefer handwritten stories. Just because my thoughts flow better then.

    2. Far off from uni, only in my freshman year of high school (that's like year 10 in the UK, me thinks...). I do wish that I had taken Global Studies instead of World Geography and Honours English, but it's too late to change now.

    3. I'm broke, but I would if I could. ;) I miss your hair...

  • 1. I tend to use a mixture of handwriting and typing. Everything gets jotted down by hand at first, then the good stuff gets filled out a bit and then typed up.

    2. I was thinking about it, but I've already bought all my English Language and Linguistics books. :( I would still have to combine Spanish with something though, which would mean catching up with six weeks of a new course.

    3. Yes, since my brother suffers the same problem every single time. :)

  • 1. i do prefer handwriting for creative things. i actually still write letters once in a while. feels so much more personal...

    2. it's perfectly okay to turn your life around to do something you want to do. a lot of people i know changed their courses. i'm studying on my second degree coz the first one - though interesting (english btw) didn't take me anywhere

    3. you'd have to invest money in a language rehab class for hairdressers, coz not a single one understands what 'a bit' means

  • tbh your hair sucks at being short it was better when it was a bit longer

  • I always prefer writing on paper before putting anything on the computer, makes it feel more personal to me.

I know what you mean about reassessing your life. I left school because, although I love learning, my heart wasn't in it.

Good on finding something you love and with the Edinburgh barbershops.

  • 1. I like to hand write things because it just feels better. Idk. Sometimes typing feels good too though.

    2. I'm still in high school, but I would most definitely drop a course or switch majors or whatever if I wasn't interested in it anymore. I mean, why take something that you're not interested in? Well, in high school we kind of have to in order to graduate, but you know what I mean.

    3. If I had money. lol.

  • 1. I use the computer for most everything I'm writing, unless an idea comes to me during the two seconds I'm not on my computer in a day.

    2. Yes. I was a Theatre major at school for 2 years, then realized it really was not for me and switched to English. Best decision of my life. I'm a happy grad now, teaching kids to read!

    3. I think the problem is that barbers never know what "a little bit" is, not so much that they can't hear.

  • 1) i have never actually typed out a piece of creative writing EVER

    2) i'm still at high school. i do wish that i'd taken history instead of geography but it's too far into the new term to drop out. at uni i'd like to do something to do with chemistry or physics. if i don't like the decision i make i will definitely drop out.

    3) yeah sure but i don't have much money

  • 1) umm.. bit of both, depends on how i'm feeling.

    2) i'm trying to decide what to study and i have to decide fast because i'm gonna move to england for that and it's all so stressful i'm freaking out:( but as much as i love the idea of still being able to drop out afterwards, that's not a possibility for me because i can't afford it financially.

    3) nope. the haircut isn't that bad, and if you're gonna be spending money, it should be for a plane ticket!

  • 1) i do both.yping is good for when i just want to write something short, but a long thing...i have to handwrite that, because i'm too slow at typing.

2)i still have a long way to go until uni, but i'm in form 5 (i think the equivalent of it in UK is year 11, but im not sure) and i have dropped out of chemistry to do computer studies.does that count? and i will do that in uni, if i feel that way

    3) sure.i dont have a lot, but ill help =)

  • 1) Only things I handwrite are my quote journals and actual journals. Other than that, typing's much faster :)

    2) Not at that stage yet, but I honestly have no idea if I would...let's just see if it comes to that.

    3) lol if I had money, I'd be spending it on other things. Sorry :P

  • Irrelevant, but are you doing No-Shave November? Cuz you have a little beard thing going on.

  • 1. Handwriting seems to flow better, but I HATE typing something I've already written, so if I hand write it, I can't just e-mail it to someone to read. :(

    2. I am currently unable to afford Uni right now, so I'm taking time off to work and such. It's not all bad, though, because I, too, was losing interest in my major, so this is a time to rethink what I want to do before I go back.

    3. Sorry, but if I can't afford Uni, I can't afford hearing aids for barbers. Haha,

  • Liam, I can't help but feel that another trip down to Australia is needed! And soon. But anyways, questions:

    1. Handwriting. For creative writing/brain storming, it just seems to flow better. It has a magic to it that just doesn't work with typing.

    2. Yes, I have, and I am SO glad I did. I'm a completely different person now, and much, much happier with my life.

    3. Lol sure, but just a bit - I'm working to save up money for future endeavours, too :)

  • 1. Handwritten cause i think its more professional.

    2. Well im not at that stage but Yea I would.

    3. Uhh yea here you go. Its invisable money from dreamland where I hav a job!!! Lol. Im to young 4 a job so I guess not.

  • 1. typing casue i dnt lyk my handwirting lol.. but ill make it look pretty :L

    2. got a while until uni :L

    3.ummm sure :L.. x

  • #1) I like to hand write, but I have gotten into typing everything this year. So I like to type more.

#2) Well actually yeah I am trying to reasess what I want to do with the rest of my life. Thinking of something in the writing district. Dunno what I am really beating in my head over here trying to think it all out.

  • 1: I love to write my stories but I have currently on the go... four or five stories because my crazy obsessions with certain things change. :p Nevermind my unfinished work scattered in my room.

2: ugh. I'm being hounded just to get into automotives. I wanna job first. :p

    3: I don't have a job, sorry hun. :/

    It's not to.. bad... :p <3

  • First of all, your hair really doesn't look all that bad. And of course, hair grows.

1)I love typing because most of the time my handwriting looks really bad, and I prefer being at the computer anyway,

    2) I'm currently in the process of applying for college, and at this moment I am starting to feel like it's too much for me, so I am seriously considering taking a year off first. But it's a really big decision and I'm just not sure.

    3) I say we start a charity organization.

  • 1) my handwriting is pretty illigetimate, so I defo type when I'm doing creative writing. Easier to edit as well!

    2) I've thought about it...I'm doing a joint honours in Glasgow, with English, Journalism and Creative Writing, nd its tough, plus the journalism sucks. But I'm keeping at it, cos I don't want to work full time!

    3) Haha. Write it next time!

  • Ha I love the graduate/dropout comparison in the sidebar.

I think about dropping out sometimes, I don't really have enough passion right at the minute for my subject, but I know I have it for what my subject and finishin this damn degree will let me do. Holding in tight. ONly 6 months to go ..... whoa it's weird when you acutally say it

  • 1. It depends on what my resources are at the time I get hit with an idea. 9 times out of 10 I use the computer since it's faster and easier, but I don't mind going old school every once in a while w/ the good ol pen and paper.

    2. I actually graduated w/ a TV Production degree and I wouldn't of changed my major for the world :)

    3. How about I send you a megaphone instead?

  • 1. handwritten. definitely. it's almost therapeutic for me to be able to reread and revise all on one paper. i like being able to see how it was before i edited it.

    2. probably not. i place an insanely high value on structured education and the piece of paper they hand you once you've filled their requirements.

    3... i'll think about it.

  • OMG what happened to your hair!!! don't wanna be mean, but it looks like you have a bigger head XD

  • Im starting to see that facial hair, dude! XD

  • 1:Typed, my handwriting is suckish, my handwriting would increase world suck if i handwrit everything

2: No, kuz im not at uni level, but i probably wouldnt anyway

3: i has no moneez T_T but i so would

  • NUMERO DOS (continued ; ] )

Here's why: BASICALLY I started off at the 6th form at my old school but the teachers where argueing with each other so much I left and worked for a year. Then I enrolled at college and I've been studying Acting ever since but it no longer feels right to me and I'm dropping out. I have a lot of stuff going on n it's the only thing I can afford to drop.

NUMERO TRES: If I had the cash I so would!!

  • NUMERO UNO: I always have a pad with my so I can note down ideas and such as taking my laptop around with me is VERY difficult atm (plus in a 'eureka' moment having to wait for it to turn on is a NIGHTMARE)

NUMBERO DOS: Funny story, while I *should* be in the middle of my second year at uni, I'm kinda... not....

  • 1. hand written but then tyoed and edited

    2. ummm yes I think so, I don't see the point of wasting time doing something I just wasn't enjoying or interested in

    3. YES!!!

  • 1. Typing, my handwriting's awful.

    2. If I wasn't enjoying it then yeah, I probably would

    3. YES

  • 1. Yeah, normally I prefer to use the ol' paper and pen, cuz if im on the computer i get side tracked... not that i can sit still for more than 15 minutes at a time anyway...

    2. (not at that stage yet) but yes i would coz there's no point in wasting time doing something you just don't care about...

    3. yeah no probs... we need some of those in N. Ireland too....

  • 1) Handwritten, everything I do is handwritten first then (If need be) is typed up. It stands that 3 letters to girlfriends and all my English essays are handwritten, scripts are typed.

    2) I probably would, not there yet but I probably would.

    3) YES!

By the way. leave the kiss-blowing to Min, makes you look a wee bitty more queer than usual.

    Much love.<3

  • I'm intrigued, when you were at the hairdressers, and the guy had finished with you and showed you your new hair in the mirror, were you silently screaming inside, but being polite and saying oh yes thankyou ever so yada yada, or did you have a bit of a AGHHH WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?!?! outloud moment?

  • 1. The computer, becuase I always write stuff in the wrong order and on the computer I can easily just drag things around.

    2. No, but yes.

    3. Sure! ;P

  • 1. I prefer handwriting initially but then I have to type it up and add to it.

    2. Still at secondary school but I think, being me, I'd slug through it.

    3. Haha yeah, my hairdresser NEVER gets my hair how I want it :|.

  • Im in my first year ofuni right now and i really dont like it....i have concidered droping out SO many time but then the next day something happens that makes me think "hey, maybe i can do this"

  • 1. Typing. I like handwriting stuff if i've drafted it beforehand, but it's so much easy to edit and review a word document than sifting through lots of paper.

    2. I'm in my second year and already changed my course. I don't want to drop out but i could see it happening.

    3. YES. There's nothing worse for your self-esteem than a crappy haircut.

  • 1. I like to hand write stuff.

    2. I'm in my third year at college. I changed courses so I can (hopefully!) do Journalism at uni.

    3. I have no money, so...no.

  • 1. Totally a typing freak....hate handwriting

    2. Completed Uni, looking back I think I would have prefered to leave school when I was 16 and started to work, but hey, no regrets, I wouldnt be the person I am today if I did

3.I have a steady hair cutting person, so I always come out the same, its almost a symbiotic relationship she cuts it right I go back.

  • 1. Handwriting. I hate typing stories and stuff on the computer, I just get annoyed at the stupid spellchecker always telling me im wrong.

    2. I'm thinking of applying to Art School in 2 years. Don't think I'll manage to get in next year... Portfolio isn't really ... good. Ha. I don't know. I probably would if I didn't enjoy it, but I don't think my parents would be too happy.

    3. Sure, why not?

  • 1) I'm not really a creative-writng person, but I'd prefer handwriting for that. I prefer typing for most thngs though.

    2) Depends. I'm doing a double degree, arts/teaching, and I'm not sure whether I'm gunna end up beng a teacher. I'm more interested in the stuff i studies in arts (linguistics mainly :P). But I'm doing my final teaching year cause it gives me a fallback career. If I really wasn't interested, I'd drop out though.

    3) Yes! can we extend it to Australia?

  • 1) Handwriting. But it will end up typed after. I have a habit of misplacing paper

    2) Not even finished with secondary yet, come back in three years and ask again.

    3) Yes!! How much do you need? I'm sure it isn't that hard to guess other peoples pin numbers...

  • you need a warning at the beginning!

  • 1. Handwriting

    2. Hopefully I'lll be in Uni next year doing Biology which I absolutely love! But I think you made the best choice! Well done for not giving up!

    3. YES! But your hair still looks ok =]

  • 1: I usually type things because it's faster but I don't hate writing stuff.

2: Only been at High School for a few months, so that question doesn't really apply.

3: :(] At least with Sweeny Todd he was good at what he did. I had my haircut about a month and a bit ago and my hair is still 1/3 of its original size. (It wasn't even long to be fair) My hair usually grows back pretty quickly. I think that my head hair like your chin hair now has red-and-white-pole-of-doom-phobia.

  • 1. Typing definitely!

    2. Still a student :)

    3. Haha same thing happened to meee!

  • 1. i can type quicker so umm typing then :)

    2. yeah if i didnt like it even though thats ages away

    3. aye sure i will i had a bad haircut before its not nice :(

  • 1. I used to love handwriting, but I was in a car accident and had to have surgery on my right arm, so now my handwriting is barely legible, so typing is ,by default, how I write.

    2. I did leave, I travelled and now I'm finishing it part time.

    3. I don't know if that would help, try bringing a ruler and showing them what an inch actually is because I think most hairdressers must have their own scale

  • 1) I type everything because my handwriting sucks and when I was little, I used to keep a diary, but i wrote in it so much, I got a red lump on my finger.

    2) I dropped out of uni to take this course on climbing and I never looked back.

    3) I would love to donate money........ But I have none. *cough*

  • 1. typing, i wouldn't be able to concentrate on what i was doing if the work above it is full of errors, crossed out etc. also my handwriting is pretty bad.

    2. i didn't drop out, but i changed course after my first year, same uni, accommodation etc though

    3. only if you donate some to the barbers of northampton. i've had the same happen to me so many times!

  • 1) nothing beats the textile feeling of putting pen to paper, but with a computer, revisions are A LOT simpler

    2) I actually had to unwillingly leave my course due to financial reasons *grumblegrumblegrumble* stupid OSAP >:(

    3) Sure Liam, but you gotta wait until I can find the bank number of my off-shore Caman Islands holding account, lol j/k :)

And don't worry, hun, your hair doesn't look THAT bad. It'll grow out :)

  • 1. When I write the first draft of anything it has to be by hand. I can't type fast enough to keep up with myself so typing means I often lose track things before I finish writing the...

    2. Dude, 3X dropout right here & that's not even counting the times I had to stop going cause I didn't have the $. Figuring out what you want to be when you grow up is harder for some. I didn't figure it out til I was 33, but I graduated with honors & not a lot of debt.

    3. There was some debt tho, so no I cant

  • 1. Hand written, typing just makes me dizzy and start to think of flying pigs :/

    2. I'll be there in 1 years time but I dropped out of my first year at sixth form cos I basically well...sucked at what I was doing so re-doing the whole year again with different subjects and it's a lot better now cos I'm enjoying them a lot more.

    3. Hell yes! The last time i got my haircut at the hairdressers I asked for 2 inches off instead she lobbed off 5!

  • 1) Essays and lengthy stuff; typing

Letters and poems and stuff; handwritten

    2) Not at uni yet, but if I didn't like the course I wouldn't keep at it

    3) Yes, definitely.

  • 1. Hand Written.

    2. Quite possibly. But I know alot about what I want to do when I get to that stage...so I'm not completely sure.

    3. I can not tell you HOW many times that has happened to me, it got to the point where I just cut my own hair do quite a good job.

So yes, I would lend you money..but sadly, I have none.

  • 1. It doesn't matter to me. I've work with the computer and on a sheet of paper when writing creatively. It depends on when the muse strikes.

    2. YES. I went through the same thing. Started learning Psychology and after the first year I decided tot take some time off and now I'm in my final year of law. Just make sure that you don't prolong the the time out period to much.

    3. What happened to the barber you used last time?

  • 1. yes.

    2. no.

    3. AUD10 good enough for you?

  • 1. i like handwritting some of the project but i tend to mess up alot. i hate the thought of wasting tons of paper.

    2. i stopped going to school because i couldn't afford it & I'll be going back to school. the degree will get me a job that will pay very well but it won't be my dream job.

    3. I'll absolutely donate money ;p I've similar issues with barbers. they tend to just want to give me bangs and a bob cut. i look like a 10 yr old girl with that type of cut.

  • Ooh im doing film at school right now, its A LOT of work even at high school standard, but the finished products are really satisfying, i hope you enjoy it! xx

ps. i live in australia but i realy wanna live in Scotland... lets swap :) haha i wish

  • 1. I tend to like handwritten

    2. I did drop a course this semester

    3. I would... but I owe my school $800 and I just got a $600 check... Ummm... Once I'm out of trouble I'll consider it... Kind of.

  • Hand writing!! i love writing letters to people, when i do assignments the first draft is hand written, as is anything creative!

  • 1. I usually do both. I start out all drafts or stuff that I write while at school by hand, but then finished stuff I type up if I want to post it.

    2. Almost there, but not yet. But I would drop a course/courses if it wasn't what I wanted to do in life.

    3. I would, gladly, but that would be a lot of money cause, for whatever reason, barbers cannot get the hang of giving guys haircuts, it always ends up looking so, so weird.

  • 1. Typing is faster

    2. Yes and I would do it again

    3. What? I can't understand you with your Scottish accent!!!

  • 1) essays-no | poems,real creative righting-yes

    2) i probably would

3)ummmmm...no. im AMERICAN. it would be more to send it then however much i was sending, but i wuld if i culd

  • 1. I almost always type when it comes to creative writing, because I've carried the tendency to grasp my pen/pencil really tightly over from my childhood, and my hand starts to hurt eventually. Letters, however, are best handwritten. :]

    2. I'm actually doing the same thing you are, only I was half in a music program, but never intended to major in music. I didn't know what I wanted, so I decided to take a year off. A few months into that year, I decided to go for film.

    3. Yes.

  • 1.) I can't think 'creatively' on the computer usually, so if I am writing poetry or a story or just free writing, it'll always handwritten.

2.) I am still in highschool, but if I was in college and the situation called for it, definitely.

3.) Hahaha, I think you should try doing it yourself. I know, it seems like a horrible idea but... At least if anything goes wrong, you know you're the one to blame? xD

  • 1. I love handwritten letters, but all of my professional and creative work is done on an old-school Corona typewriter.

    2. No I haven't, but if I felt it was right for me to do so then I would.

3.Of course! How much do you need?

  • 1. Creative typing personal hand writing. For my professional documentation I do daily I have to hand print. So I use it all I guess!

    2. I've graduated and work with adults when my degree is with children. When opportunity came knocking I opened the door.

    3. Only if there's a fund for Americans such as myself. I haven't had a haircut since Aug. due to the same reason. I'm just lucky to be a girl and can get away with this longer.

  • I like handwriting. I feel like my ideas just flow better that way x)

  • 1. yes

    2. i did but it didnt furn out so good so i have to do something else

    3. OMFG YES!!!!

  • 1. Handwriting is funner and I like it a lot, but I also type a lot of my stuff because of modern era and its just more efficient.

    2. I'm only 3/4 of the way through my first semester of college, but I haven't dropped anything. If I ever lost interest in what I was doing/a class I was taken, I totally would though.

    3. No... wait, I found a penny on the floor, you can have it.

  • 1. typing is easier to edit and faster, but handwritten is more creative for me-sometimes i'll outline or brainstorm with paper and pencil then type it up.

    2. i feel like i'm pretty stuck in the way things are going as they are.

    3. dude. i feel like every single time a guy gets a haircut: it doesn't turn out well. no matter the country or the barber shop.

  • These videos give me a little hope that love conquers all, even oceans x

  • 1. Typing is more convenient and faster, but there's something really lovely about writing things out manually. It feels a lot more personal or something

    2. If it was a course I didn't enjoy, and I had something better to take its place, then i suppose I would, but it's hard for me to say without actually being there.

    3. Of course. That happens to me all the time with my bangs. "Just a little" seems to mean "TAKE IT ALL OFF" in hairdresserland...

  • In the context of study I prefer to hand write everything... I take it in more, and I like preserving some aspect of the 'old days' in my life :P Creative writing... depends. Generally I type cause it's easier but writing by hand is so authentic =]

I propose a revolt against the majority of hairdressers, so many have screwed me over too.

  • 1) I tend to type essays and such.

    2) Nope. Wanted to drop Calc 2 last Fall, but I didn't.

    3) Umm ... sorry, but not.

  • 1. I like to write by hand when I don't want people to read my stuff. No one can read my chicken scratches. I do type quite fast, and I love the sound of clicking keys.

    2. I would drop it if it wasn't what I wanted to do. What's the sense in spending money on a higher degree for something you don't want to do?

    3. OH YES.

  • oww loud! you just broke my ears D:

    1. handwriting. I start all school papers that way too.

    2. I'm still trying to survive high school I'll worry about the rest later, but you should do what you love and if thats not that uni course then you did right by droping it.

    3. No...I need to buy one for myself. You hurt my ears at the beginning D;

  • 1.)type!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my hand writeing sucks

    2. i did because what i was majoring did forfill me like my love for music

    3.yes!

  • 1) GAH! MY BRAIN IMPLODES! There is a full on civil war in my head thanks to this question. I would say that if I am IN THE MOMENT I am going to grab whatever's closest, and believe it or not, I can write faster than I type. However, for everything I write, I always go to my computer and type it afterwards. Not really an answer, but as close as anyone's getting.

    2) Um... not a clue what I want to do, so as of now, I will probably switch majors 70 million times before I make up my mind.

    3) YES.

  • 1. Writing letters.

    2. My personality type is the most likely to finish collage, but I'm not really looking forward to it. I probably would drop out. =]

    3. Hairdressers don't know what to do with me. Every time I go to the hairdressers they make my hair look all stringy and greasy and frizzy. then they'll try to make me like it saying "There, That looks cute!" I don't think it looks cute I think you just stole my confidence! =[[

  • 1. Typing, I half-ass edit as I write, which is much easier when typing than when handwriting.

    2. I'm not there yet, and as a student at film school, I want to crew, so it's quite possible that I will have to take a year off uni to pursue my calling in life.

    3. I will send you a barber.

  • 1. depends what's closer. my more emotional stuff is written on paper. and if i thinks it's good i'll try to type it. If it's for fun, again, it depends on whats closer and usually on a computer.

    2. i'm still in secondary education so the closest to dropping out would be to quit vocational, and i really want to persue some type of culinary education.

    3. i think it looks fine. and i'm broke. You can always do what i do when my hair stylist cuts to my hair to short. pine for it to be long again

  • 1. Typing...I write a lot of stories and things like that and I just find it easier because you don't have to scribble things out if you make a mistake :)

    2. I'm not there yet but I think that when I get to that stage I probably would if it means I was more interested and motivated, there's no point on doing something you just don't enjoy. :)

    3. Yes! XD although you're hair doesn't look as bad as you think it does XD

  • 1. I prefer to type personally, but i like the way handwriting looks. I suppose i can just type pretty fast, so it can keep up better with my thoughts, but if it's something personal, like a note or something for someone, definitely handwriting.

2.I'm not there yet (class of '13!) but yeah, if i get in your situation, or something similar where i'm just really not into the course, then i would probably do the same as you. Take a year off, reassess, ect.

    3. Yes. I miss your hair. How much?

  • 1 - Mixture of both, really. The actual writing I'm more at typing person, but the getting together the world behind it and characters and so on, by hand. Have a special book for it too,

2- I dropped out in my final year, lol. I tried and I tried but it just wasn't fitting me and it hadn't really taught me anything, I felt, that was useful. And I still don't know what I want to do.

    3 - If I had money.

  • 1. I usually write whatever 1st draft I have, but then type it up as I revise. I don't really like reading a document on the computer and this process helps me not do that as much.

    2. I'm graduating 2010, so, yeah... I'd probably change majors if I lost interest or find something else to do.

  • 1. Typing, I can't stand hand written stuff

    2. not really a uni drop out but I dropped the course I was first doing halfway through first year because It wasn't building up to what I wanted so I decided to go for Film instead.

Little tip for going into film if you decide to do it, make sure you invest in some good equipment in the area of expertise you want to pursue

    3. depends ... is dynamite involved?

  • Definitely hand write songs, but typing is great for essays and stuff because you can move bits around, copy/paste and all that shit. Of course I don't write essays anymore!

And your hair looks fine. Get over it.

    You big girl.

  • 1. I like to type. My handwriting is the most sloppy thing on the planet, plus it's easier to delete what I don't like.

    2. I've actually just applied to transfer schools for spring. I just don't feel like the school I'm at is the place for me.

    3. Maybe you should just try out more places? Once you find one you like, it's totally worth it. I've been going to the same person for ten years.

  • 1. My handwriting is shit, I think way faster than I write, but my typing can keep up with it ok. So I prefer to type, by far.

On a slightly related note I just had 2 midterms where I had to write down PHP and SQL code on paper, weirdest experience ever. I kept wanting to copy/paste or insert a new line in between what I already had.

    2. I quit Human Technology last year for Computer Science this year. It's closer to my heart, what I'm good at, and more in depth. I don't regret it (yet :P)

  • Question for you, should Chronicles not go through, how realistic would it be to go to uni in Australia? I know New Zealand has a student visa which allows you to have a job while there, I could imagine Australia has something like that.

  • 1. Typing

    2. No as i am not there yet (Class of 2010 Woot!) but i dont htink i will

    3. What was the question?

  • 1. Depends on what I'm writing. If it's a present, I hand writing. If it's something I'm writing for any other reason I generally type (except Trock lyrics... they go in my Black Book of Spoilers).

    2. I'm happy enough with my current course to stick with it, but if I ever found myself losing interest then I'd definately drop out.

    3. It would be beneficial I suppose... perhaps?

  • 1. It's about half and half - depends what I feel like.

    2. Yes! Last year I was in my 2nd year at Glasgow and I went through a similar sort of situation to what you described so I decided to withdraw in january and take this year out. Problem - After a bit I realised I didn't want to take a whole year out and I did a last minute application; Ended up in the course I wanted, but at the wrong Uni. Fingers crossed for second year entry to Edinburgh next year.

    3. Yes, most of them are pants. >:(

  • 1. I handwrite everything, because that way if i change an idea, its still there under the scratch marks, if i decide that i like it better or fits better in what im writing later on.

    2. I took a 2yr speedschool course in culinary arts... ya to be a chef.... I work at a hotel now.... not cooking.... wasted so much money...

    3. Just do what i do. Cut your own. you will save so much money over your lifetime!!

  • 1) Typing, I hate writing and I can focus better when there is a compute... ironically enough.

    2) I am not there, but if I lost interest I totally would!

    3) Love to, but if I plan to attend university I am assuming I am going to need all the money I can get.

    =]

  • 1. I usually type whatever I can because my handwriting is horrible, sometimes I can't even read it.

    2. I'm Still in school but as far as I've planned now, I'm going to take a year off after high school to decide what to do.

    3. I get horrible haircuts too, but unfortunately mine is usually not the hairdressers fault because my hair is still under the control of my parents, and i just am not good at telling what I think will look good.

  • 1) hehehe typing its easier.

    2) I would if it had to do with A.a trip to somewhere fun or Ireland or Scotland or England <3 or B. acting

    3) xD for you i would xD your hair is rlly rlly poofy :P

Liam, my friend... I think you are succesfully growing a beard... I think. I might be hallucinating xD

  • 1) I usually hand write most of my notes and such them transfer them to piece them all together.

    2) I am in the process of taking a year off...

3)I've been going to the same hairdresser for the past 3 years, so she knows what i like. (shes my sister-in-law so I would feel kinda bad going to another hairdresser.....kinda)

  • 1. I type when I'm jotting down notes and ideas, but I type when I go full force with it. It would be impossible for me to finish NaNoWriMo without typing :/

    2. No, I'm going to be an English teacher, which are definitely my passions, so I wouldn't consider dropping. If I didn't love it, then sure.

    3. I actually like your new haircut, so I don't think it's a worthwhile investment for me to pursue. Sorry 'bout that.

  • I mean write when I'm writing notes & ideas

  • i like to type whatever i write because i keep changing my ideas and editing while i write...when i used to do this on paper, there would be toms of cross-outs and asterisks and arrows so it's just easier to type things XD

im going for biology, so...i don't like the program, but i know that i will have jobs lined up for me once i get out.

i never let people cut my hair. i do it myself :P

  • 1. no

    2. no

    3. no

....im gonna have to redo that...

    1. i have dreadful handwriting and cant spell...computer/spellcheck is my friend

    2. i've lucky never been in that situation, i think i would if i knew that thats what would make me happiest

    3. sorry honey, i would if i had money (thats probably not true but that point is i dont have money to send)

  • 1. i type because i'm never happen with what i do first and it's easier to edit on teh comp. plus, school destroys my writing hand.

    2. i'm still in high school, so...no?

    3. i think the issue is somewhere between the brain and the ear, so i don't know how much a hearing aid will help

  • nice computers xD

    autobot, decepticon FML XD

  • <
