  • @silverzephersword nooooo...Yunas shiiiiiiiiiiit and Vicent is fucking epic.

  • lol luv when hes like stupid trousers with one leg longer then the other wht is with that x sooo funny

  • whats up with characters doing random things repeatedly in front of Squall? First Kefka jumping now Tidus flipping

  • where's ep. 11

  • @xxVniallaxx If you go to the channel you can find all the videos on the side but I'll help you out here ^.^

    watch?v=Rka6B5cUHP4

  • I agree with Squall whats up with the one pants leg longer then the other

  • hay whats that? Mine, whatever it is its mine

that makes me laugh and I didnt know you can brake the Quake chair

  • the sound is good but the quality isn't good and when they are talking i didn't see there lips' moving i didn't see anything on their face prove that they are talking just still image

  • @samaryousrie that's how the game is...

  • r they supposed to be aussie?

  • that very first scean with squall and tidus reminds me of the squall and Zell sceans in FF8

  • What the hells with that-- Oi!

    HAHAHAHAHA

  • For once I agree with tidus

  • tidus = epic

  • "Ooh, look at me, my name's Tidus. I'm a dream, and I can run up walls! Damn Tidus..." xD That was funny.

  • I really don't see why they kept the original Japanese pronunciation of Tidus. I mean...they didn't keep Terra or Bartz's real names in the NA version. They changed Tina to Terra and Butz to Bartz to make it sound more appealing to westerners...well they should do the same goddamn thing with Tidus so we don't have to lower our heads in embarrassment every time we hear his name. >=(

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX I understand what u mean but I guess Square Enix had to keep with the times...

  • But it's just one little simple change. No one would care (except the extremely crazy fanboys but who cares about them) and most people prefer the TIE-dus pronunciation of his name too as opposed to TEE-dus. =/ I mean it fits with his nature more. TIE-dus. Tide. Get it?

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX Actually I think it's impossible to tell whether Tee-dus or Tie-dus are preferred so you can't say that most people prefer Tie-dus because the Tee-dus haters are going to be more vocal.

  • Agreed

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX

    Agreed

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX In Japanese, Tidus' name is actually ティーダ (Tida). They changed it to Tidus when they brought it over.

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX Why do people always tend to get annoyed when it was announced as Tee-dus?

What's stopping you from saying Tide-us? Plus most of the time I've seen people actually flame others for saying Tee-dus or vice versa. Not saying that you have done that before you think I'm accusing you.

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX Butz was "Batso" in Japanese. That can be Bartz or Butz. the spelling was changed. They kept Tee-dus because that's what they also used in Kingdom Hearts. Also for a host of reasons like: WHAT DOES IT MATTER?!

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX Butz was "Batsu" in Japanese. That can be Bartz or Butz. the spelling was changed. They kept Tee-dus because that's what they also used in Kingdom Hearts. Also for a host of reasons like: WHAT DOES IT MATTER?!

  • @XxKuRoTsUbAsAxX Tee-dus was also used in Kingdom hearts. In Bartz' case, it was an either or choice. "Batsu" could be Butz or Bartz, either is a possible Anglicized version. Oh and because IT DOESN'T MATTER!

  • @ayos2ah Actually, TIDE-US was also used in Kingdom Hearts II. Selphie is talking to Kairi and mentions "TIDE-US and Wakka".

  • Behold! The comments below me state the most debated Final Fantasy topic of the ages!

  • So, I've been watching this series for a while. What is the plot behind this? Honestly I see no plot whatsoever.

  • There really is no correct Phrasing of his name because in the FFX u can change his name so they always refer to tidus as Him Or He Also in KH i think They Call him Ti-dus But in I forget another game i think Dissidia they pronuce it Tea-dus So There really is no correct saying Pronouce it however you like

    Personally i perfer Tea-dus :P

  • @OuTcAsTsLimiT KH1 - Tee-dus

    KH2 - Tie-dus

    Dissidia - Tee-dus

James Arnold Taylor (Tidus' VA) - Tee-dus

  • @UnchartedChart actually KH2 also does it tee-dus aswell

  • haha I really like the beginning xD

  • I think Tea-dus is just generally much better than tie-dus.

  • I think Jecht would prefer "TIDE-us", tea-dus sounds more pansy-like. Jecht would not name his son "tea-dus'. That's how I justify it. xD

  • Jecht barerly had a relationship with his son, so what makes you think he cared enough to have input on his name? Heh.

  • Tee-dus would be the correct Japanese translation to English.

And If you haven't figured this out yet, Final Fantasy is a Japanese game.

  • So? They've changed the names of characters quite radically in the past with the transition from Japanese to English. And there's no need to patronize me.

  • I think it depends on how we pronounce the letter "I". In the UK, we say the letter "I" like an "E" and in America, they say it like an "A".

So in the UK, we would say "Tee-dus" (which is what James Arnold Taylor says, even though he's not British) and in America, they say "Tie-dus" (which sounds weird).

  • Not necessarily. Tidus' Japanese name is "Tiida", and its said "Tee-da"; so it translate to "Tee-dus" in English.

    But then there was the Roman Emperor whose name was "Tie-dus" which just leads to more confusion for everybody! Win. -_-;

  • Um, I'm from the UK and I always said Tie-dus

But I've corrected myself as of Dissidia

  • I'm from the UK and Tie-dus always felt right to me and everyone I know who played the game, it has nothing to do with nationality and as you say, JAT isn't British.

  • JAT was forced at gunpoint to say "Tea-dus", I know this because he told me...because, uh, we hang sometimes.

  • But I really prefer to call him "Tie-dus"

since he's more related to the "Tides" than "Tea"

  • Precisely. :D

  • Yeah, me too. Tie-dus to me. In KH1 it's Tea-dus, but in some dev interview it's Tie-dus.

See also: Aeris / Aerith. lulz.

  • damn tit-us

  • I don't think I've been to a single video about tidus where people haven't talked about the "tidus" thing :P

  • sounds better when its TIDE-US cuz it makes sense since its like watery...sounding..and he plays ball in the water..and he has a water sword

  • Comment removed

  • tee-dus sounds weird honestly but whatever they chose happened..so im ok with it. i'd prefer ty-dus or tie-dus better

  • @LegendOfLink5130 yeh makes sense, but Tee-dus kinda comes to you better than Tai-dus. Sure Tai-dus is more watery, which goes with the blitsball-playing/watersword-wielding side of things, but Tee-dus just rolls off your tongue more, it's more... catchy, in a way really.

  • @LegendOfLink5130 it is Tidus but its just the un funny mffen british accent

  • Haha brilliant, 5/5

  • "Tee-dus" is actually correct everyone xD

  • More like "Tee-da", but whatever.

  • Well... "Tidus," going on Japanese terms, was pronounced wrong, but... Pretty funny. xD

  • i wanna try to do onion knight voice

  • lol

  • LOL- an FF version of Aussie Rules? The Dissidia Project sounds great!

  • I would like to audition for Garland but my computers in the shop, on my ps3 right now T^T

  • ROFL I liked it^^

    ~*Jill*~

  • Amazing work, guys. Keep it up!

  • Lol the Boost xD

  • The voices are kinda lame but the thing has potential. And i believe the majority pronounce it Ti-Dus

  • I think you're right with the Ti-dus pronounciation, but after KH I got so used to how it is said here, and i think most people are the same.

Ti-dus makes more sense though, playing off of tide, since Tidus is so water-themed.

  • XD Cute~!!

  • I'll try to do Cloud's voice.

  • I'll try to do Exdeath and Sephiroth auditions and get them to you soon

  • Audition sent. Lol, how long for a reply? I'm sure you get a lot of emails.

  • teedus

  • British voices XD

  • Comment removed

  • Aussie voices ya mean :p

  • Oh yeah I realise now! XD

  • Check out my Exdeath video and see if you can use me. You can do a lot of jokes with him.

  • LMAO! xD

  • ROFL VERY FUNNY!!

  • Is there any specific quotes you would like for Character? It would be easier for people who would like to audition who don't have a clue what to say lol.

  • We're putting up a bill on VAC website Aug 1st. It will have lines and more information.

  • This was funny!

  • I'll audition soon, then

  • LOL XD

  • LOL that was pretty funny, I enjoyed both voices :D

  • cool idea favoourited

  • Got any more details on how you want the auditions to be done? Like, any kind of audio format you want them to be in? Any lines you want us to say? Stuff like that...

  • Just anything you think is character appropriate, we're not fussy. Just remember to speak up really loud so we can hear you clearly. We used a guitar hero mike to record the sound for this episode and that gave us decent quality.

  • Sorry, audio format. Anything is fine really. I'd prefer .wav though. Really, anything is fine.

  • Alright then, no problem. I'll try and get a few done as soon as I can, but I'm gonna be going on vacation in a couple of days, so it might be a while.

  • lol That was awesome xD MORE OF THAT STUFF!!!

  • Love the aussie accents XD

  • Lol! Squall and Tidus both have Aussie accents! Interesting vid btw.
