7:53 - Everyone who shot that gun felt the same way on the inside. Most ppl couldn't contain it though, all smiles from ear to ear! I couldn't make the 2011 event but had a blast at the 2010 get together.

Fully automatic weapons are illegal for private citizens in Iowa. How could I get one?

@BRONCOWEN For average joe citizen, yes. Iowa law specifically exempts businesses which are federally licensed to transfer NFA weapons. These weapons are owned by such companies.
The correct answer to your question is, of course, that you need to support the Iowa Firearms Coalition (iowafc.org, aka IFC) and the NRA, so we can get the law changed. IFC pushed for legalization of suppressors during the last legislative session and we will most likely be doing so again next year.

@acidlittle This was a large event put on by the Iowa Firearms Coalition. The range used was a private one not normally open to the public. Check out the forum at iowafc.org and also take a look at the Iowa Home Town Forum (HTF) on AR15.com at ar15.com/forums/f_8/42_.html

@darkshadow62988 Have to agree. Would be impressive to see his full-auto groups at 10 meters! I don't know him personally, but I believe he's one of the owners of High Velocity, Ltd (the company that owns most of the NFA guns in this video) so he's got some experience shooting full-auto.
