Wow! I am amazed and so glad I found this video. This is excellent editing. I thought Sinead Ho was visiting you and playing in your living room. Very well done Sinead and Mike. Very good performance and I enjoyed this very much. Fran
@AccordionLadyMi Hello Fran! This video was a COMPLETE surprise to me!! I had no idea that Jeremy had taken my original and copied it to his video which he played back on his widescreen TV (and he NEEDED a w/screen to fit me in!!) and then Sinead played live in front of TV.
I was quite moved by this, especially the clever editing at the end where she seems to talk to me!!
@makentv Hey Markku. Thanks for looking at this - it was a complete surprise for me, when I received the edited video from Jeremy Ho, I was very pleased that someone would want to do this.
@alainhammond Dear Alain - I am good at making people think I am good, but I really am only very average. There is so much more I wish I could do, fast jazz, very fast runs up & down the keyboard, improvisation, but I am so limited. I have only started playing accordion again after a break of nearly 24 years, and I have forgotten SO much, and now I am too old to improve - but I enjoy what I CAN do.
@alainhammond ANYONE can play better than me, Alain! In my dreams I am a world entertainer, in real life the world entertains me. Sinead and Sean (musicfamily) have music "in them" and I think they have a good chance of a pleasant future.
HELLO MIKE AND SINEAD,I ENJOYED THIS VERY MUCH AND IT BROUGHT BACK HAPPY MEMORIES AS IT WAS THE FIRST VYNIL SINGLE I BOUGHT WITH MY FIRST WAGES WHEN I STARTED WORK,THEY WERE THE 10" ONES AND IT WAS PLAYED BY JIMMY SHAND.THANKYOU FOR POSTING AND KEEP EM COMING MIKE.BEST WISHES FROM DEREK.OH AND I VERY MUCH ENJOYED YOUR RENDITION OF AUTUMN LEAVES.
@drjazzisme Good to hear from you Derek. Thanks for listening to this and also Autumn Leaves. If I have a couple of glasses of Irish velvet over the week end, I may have the courage to try and play the Six Twenty Two Step! (Trouble is, at the moment, it sounds more like a waltz!!)
@Delmontedel Yes she is quite the little actress. Also very well played by Sinead. I didn't know her name but this comment is now for her & You Mike. It was a wonderful duet.!
@nigelzzr Hi Nigel. I was very surprised when I received the edited vid from Jeremy, as I had no idea this was being done. My "that'll do" on the original was because I had tried at least 6 times before that take to play without too many mistakes, and on that one, my sentiments were:that'll do. I am impressed how Jeremy incorporated that.

Mike, I must apologise for carrying on a conversation with Jeremy while you and Sinead are performing! It is very bad manners but the ulterior motive is that we are bumping up the comment ratings and getting more listens to the great video. well that's my excuse.......Jeremy talks in his sleep!
@geoff1945 Oh don't mention it! I'm used to being ignored!! A couple weeks ago I was asked to play in a music pub in Ballyvourney. I tried to say that my music was not right for pub atmospheres, more for a restaurant or gentle hotel entertainment. However, they insisted and I duly played. @Delmontedel Today my friend, you are the Most Discussed Musician in Ireland!! Yeahh!!! Most successful artistes start off that way. I am glad to know you are able to play for 3 hours, that's a fantastic portfolio of songs. If I ever have money, I would open a pub and allow patrons to play whatever they like on my stage.
@Delmontedel - so you come onto youtube where obviously a large number of people consider you to be a somebody special and put up with the ocassional argumentitive types in a corner knowing that it was you who caused them to be here in the first place. ......enough crawling yet, my gracious friend? LOL Oh and for god's sake somebody send Sinead's Dad a pair of blue suade shoes.
@hamiltonrrw The squeeze box breaking down due to Hong Kong's bad weather. A key got stuck. Time for some WD40. I am serious because no music shop in Hong Kong would want to accept an accordion so I have to maintain it myself like a car.
@Accordioncrasy Thank you Istvan. It was a pleasant surprise as I had no idea that Jeremy Ho was making this edited video. I think Sinead did a very good job.
Well done for playing with musicfamily and still coming out looking like an expert, Mike. These guys have a way of making even the best look mediocre next to them.
Yes, I loved the ending. Jeremy has splashed out on some hi-tech video editor! There goes the kids pocket-money.......and new shoes..... and university.....and boat hire........LOL
@tamyk007 - Don't worry Tamy! Sorry but its an in-joke I share with musicfamily. If you have a few years to spare you can follow the story through our channels but its really quite boring and you'd be happier listening to more of this beautiful music. LOL
@geoff1945 :) Sinead made me look good, Geoff. It was a complete surprise to me (a pleasant one) when I received the edited video from Jeremy as I had no idea this had been done.
@geoff1945 There was no editing. It was all live playing. I played Mike's video on our new TV and captured the whole thing live, that's all. That's a faster way of making collab videos than using software editors. :P
@musicfamily - but Jeremy it may be faster but is it cheaper? That T'v' must have made a big hole in Sean's pocket money and he's still paying for the guitar you broke! Seriously though, you could not do this with the old television sets so in a way I was right about you splashing out ! Ha! Great effect isn't it.
@musicfamily - With her wide talent, Sinead should get a free scholarship. I've already offered you my share of the Beatles royalties and my first comment on this video is a testimonial to her extraordinary ability not just to perform but with so many instruments and such flair. Now can I write a testimonial for you?

He must have hooked up the computer to a TV screen (and I see he had to use wide-screen to fit all of me in!! ha ha :) ) and then played my video back while Sinead played in real time and he video'd it all at once. Jeremy then sent me the video by a "zip" document in my messages, and all I had to do was to open the file and upload as normal.
@ilovetrains63 Dear Dwayne - in reality, I was the one making mistakes, and Sinead was gracious enough to play the right ones for me :) It was a complete surprise (a nice one) to receive this from musicfamily.

@Derbymuscian Hello Derby. Thank you for watching this. I was very surprised and honoured when I received this edited video from Jeremy Ho - it was a total surprise!
@musicfamily OH! I think the BEST part is when Sinead says "YES!!" and punches the air - that, for me, is very clever thinking on your part! I am pleased that you are getting all these lovely comments.
@mlasagabaster Gracias Mariei - Yo estaba muy sorprendido y muy contento cuando Jeremy Ho me ha enviado este vídeo con jugar Sinead. Hizo que mi corazón canta!
@musicfamily Dear Sinead, YOU did all the hard work and I am impressed that you could also learn the sheet music and play it from memory! I was very happy that you chose to play this with me, you played so well. Maybe we will do another one soon!? (Not such a fast one, as I am VERY old and my fingers cannot move so quickly!!)
