This would be cool if I wasn't already in love with "Her Morning Elegance". After seeing that, this is really lame, actually. HME is awesome because it illustrates daily activities, fantasy, love, and even waking up to reality, all in the one most intimate place--her bed. It's like her life in a dream. Oren Lavie didn't invent stop-motion movies, but this ad, as beautiful it is, stole the storyline and best ideas from the videoclip Her Morning Elegance.

What we don't know is if they paid Lavie for his copyrights. It may be the case, since this Target ad on YouTube appeared a few months after the real clip of HME (and it's fame).

too me, it's not the fact that they used stop motion. because stop motion is getting loads more popular. but the fact that alot of commercials and music videos are doing stop motion on a bed... that's how it copies HME. yes, this is a very good video, but it just copies the whole thing from hme. originiality just doesn't exist anymore. :c

People say this is ripped off of HME because it shows a girl having a stop-motion dream in which she falls in the ocean, is caressed by fish (that are actually just clothing), jumps across pillows, hangs on as if in a strong wind, meets a gorgeous dream guy (who disapears shortly after), and reveals her back in her bed in a messy room, the covers scrunching up to meet her by the end. I don't know, I'm gonna have to go with the trolls on this one. But it doesn't make the video any less beautiful.
