The song is called "Soledad", from Astor Piazzolla, there are many diferent versions, all very good.

this is a found footage film - meaning that the pieces are taken from different films and put together in a certain way, with added audio.

This was a classic little piece of art. The background music chosen for this definitely enhanced the aura of the film.

Regardless of language, that couldn't have been the original audio from a movie made in 1917... Cool in it's own way, but reminds me more of a Nine Inch Nail video than German Expressionism.
