Thanks man, your videos are always very helpful. I was wondering though, would you happen to know how a 9mm AWC Jupiter Eye II would compete with these? From the video, it seems clear that AAC Evo 9 takes the lead, but I've seen some very intriguing performance (on video) of the Jupiter Eye II and thought you might have some good input. Thanks a lot!
A buddy of mine has an AAC black box and when he shoots subsonics you can't hear it across the street. Just the sound of the hammer hitting the pin and I slight wisper and thats it
Does your 9MM supprssed sound like a cap gun when suppressed? Compared to the .22lr all you hear is the action moving, but on my 9x18 i hear like a pop about as lowd as a cap gun.
Great vid, always wondered what the actual db of a silenced vs unsilenced gun was. 130 ish db is still hearing unsafe, but hearing protection would put it very much into the good range (under 120db.) Unlike normal guns, which are hearing unsafe even with big hearing proctectors. Plus, this was supersonic ammo. Subsonic would reduce the crack and echo sound, maybe that would put it closer to hearing safe?
because the bullet (if not subsonic) will still make a sonic boom (more like a whip crack) when it leaves the barrel. Also the sound of the recoil action and sound of the bullet impacting the target. The sound from a distance is much less noticed than standing right next to the silenced weapon. Subsonic ammo on a .22LR w/silencer is deadly quiet.

Nice job on the data collection.
I've got a GemTech Trinity on my Beretta 92FS and I love it. I see that there are some quieter options for my collection.
