  • I would like to know what's her profession...because she's definitely not a sport scientist.

  • The normal pattern is to land on the outside edge of your heel, roll trough and push off with your toes. I tried to run barefoot as well but it is slow because you need to do more physical work for the damping. We are not designed to run barefoot or forefoot on concrete. Well, at least not all of us.

  • HEEL TO TOE IS THE WORST WAY TO RUN

  • Dear Expert Village lady,

If you hear your feet go "flap, clap, flap, clap, flap, clap, flap, clap, flap, clap" against the pavement, it means that you do something wrong.

If, on the other hand, you startle pedestrians while passing them by being totally silent - it means that you do it right.

  • lack of understanding of physics... To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction... so why in hell would you apply the brakes with every single step? I'm flagging this as dangerous.

  • Im beginning to think "expertvillage" is actually just a channel dedicated to trolling people

  • NIMROD! DO NOT RUN LIKE THIS LADY! You Tube "Pose Running" Dr. Romanov if you want to learn something.

  • expertvillage, I know you like to view yourself as a 'job creator', but hiring random morons off the street isn't necessarily a good thing for your supposed goal of having 'experts'.

  • Running technique, warm up, stretches should be completely different for someone who has been running since the age of 12 and someone who has not.

  • expert villagge sometime get people that don't know what they are saying

  • how many people flaged this video?

  • she is mid foot striking with her left foot

  • This lady is a danger to runners everywhere! DO NOT listen to her.

  • Can some please remove this video!

  • I'm a beginner and even I know heel striking is a no-no.

  • This chick is even more ignorant than the people who have read "Born to Run" and think they can all run barefoot!! Somewhere in between sounds good to me.

  • Someone needs to heel strike her face. Knock some sense into that bitch.

  • idiot...

  • "I've been running since I was 12 years old and knock on wood, I haven't been injured yet, so I must be doing something right..." 12 years?! i'd of thought she would be in a wheelchair by now with her technique.

  • PEOPLE ARE GONNA GET HURT

  • lol she's kidding when she says you'll race faster and have less injuries :)

  • "I've been running since I was 12.. ...haven't been injured yet"

The only explaination is that you've been running back and forth from the kitchen and your man hasn't BEAT YOUR STUPID ASS FOR TEACHING PEOPLE FOR RUNNING THIS WAY.

    *FLAG FLAG*

  • Everyone flag these stupid videos!

  • LOL! This video is an epitome of ignorance! This woman doesn't know jack about running, believe me if you run like this you will never run a sub 4 hour marathon and will suffer from knee pains continuously.

  • So called "expert" is pounding the ground loud enough to hear it on the video. This is ridiculous. Folks, do not listen to her. She is the exact opposite of what you want to be.

  • The dumbest whore since Paris Hilton

  • i'm asking for any user who can help me. for any sort of running (whether it be sprinting or long-distance), is heel-to-to striking better or forefoot striking?

  • @kimmmmm04

    heel-to-toe

  • @kimmmmm04 Forefoot running is always better.

  • @kimmmmm04 mate the best way is mid sole stricking, so basically landing flat (even if you cant, dont ever use heel-to-toe technique) and then from the flat foot, rolling and then pushing off with your toes, /watch?v=1fBh2qH4QbM&feature=related this is a good method of running, i hope this helps. dont listen to the fools out there who dont know anything about running and telling you to use the heel-toe method.

  • "You'll race faster" lol what?

  • hai

you see my sport events is next year so i gotta keep practising already

    i'm not a good athlete

    so in need some exercises

    can you help me?

    please!!!!

  • since 12 ! I think I grew up running

  • don't all people run when they're 12 yrs old?! that doesn't make you an expert, that just means you were an active child. heel to toe is such a bad form, any true expert would know that

  • she's not gonna have any knees left when she's 60 years old. Maybe she hasnt had any injuries (and if you run much, you ALWAYS hurt yourself in one way or another), but she she'll regret that she ruan that way when shes older!

  • Don't give me that attitude, you bitch!

  • Heal to toe is BAAAAAAD.

  • great tips, thanks,i have been running all wrong,my knee hurts so i will try this out ,,thanks

  • and how many injuries have you had?

  • yeah she taught nicely.

  • she talks nice...and short :D thank u

  • Yeah, that whole heel-to-toe thing is miserably bad form...

    joint shock central.

  • Everything is very good but I believe that landing on your heal as opposed to the balls of your feet will get you in trouble eventually.

  • Utterly horrible... I like how she attributes her "expert" status to "I've been running since I was 12 years old...I haven't any injuries yet, so I must be doing something right."!!! and she names "stretches" twice in the intro...

  • great tips, thanks for posting!

  • you look beautiful :) where are you from?

  • creeper

  • Humans are meant to land on their fatty midfoot when they run, not their bony heel.

  • She very good at chating shit.

  • expertvillage is a load of shit.........

  • we should name it "shit village"

  • Something doesn't look right with her run.....

  • She is looking down.

Ok for drive phase of sprint - but not for long distance.

Also the upper body is a little hunched over

  • Yeah probably that shes slow as butts

  • She continues to baffle me with her ignorance. I love her line near the end: "I've been running since I was 12 years old and knock on wood, I haven't been injured yet, so I must be doing something right..." Yeah, how much have you run? Done any marathons with that style? What are your qualifications in biomechanics? None! Do the beginners a favor out there and pull this video from youtube.

  • @thebbk lol

  • she has good tips, but she is a horrible runner!

  • Good grief! Check out the Newton Running Video's for real advice form real experts ...

  • this video looks old

  • she is nuts

  • im flaging this vid, people will get hurt if they use the heel toe technique

  • This is the best way to run if you want to get injured. when you land on your heel, you land in front of your body and you will be breaking in every step. It will also increase the impact on your knees. very bad running form.

  • When u land, should u be conciously planning where u want ur foot to land or do u do what feels normal even if ur ever so slightly over pronating. So much advice on the web is confusing? My training is disrupted at the moment because of inflammed Tibilas Posterior so am looking for a miracle cure!!

  • you should focus on pulling your foot from the ground, rather than focus on your landing. if pull your foot from the ground fast enough and pull it straight under your hip, the other foot will automaticly land where it's suposed to land. that is in a straight line from heads- hip- foot.

  • LOLOL. easily the worst advice and running technique I've ever heard/seen. But when the laughing stops advice like this WILL cause people to get injured trying to run like that.

  • lol @ where she pauses looks at the camera and says ''that i taught you''...yea the heel toe striking is horrible i always get retarded shin splits or just pain due to that

  • Why is she telling people to land on their heel? Maybe that works for her... but for many of us it leads to injury.

This video is not good at all.

  • not a fan of heel strike :s

  • she's been running since 12?

And what is she now? 12 and a half?

  • you guys are idiots! shes telling you how to do it properly you guys are a bunch of haters i run myself and consider her advise as EXPERT advise and if she hasnt had an injury yet why would you? dont post negative things on here man

  • She needs to lift her knees more when she runs. She's just shuffling her legs which is wasting WAY too much energy. Jogger...not runner.

  • Get off the area beneath those transmission lines, the radiation there is harmful.

  • *heels

  • Why is she running on her heals?!

  • because she is walking not running

if you need some help whit your running watch first video in my favorites so far the best running tips video i saw on youtube

  • You are a jogger, not a runner. Get it right.

  • I've flagged this video as Inappropriate: it promotes running in a harmful or dangerous fashion ie, following this woman's advice (other than on where to place your thumbs) will result in injury.

  • This is like a comedy skit. After instructing people on how to run in an inefficient and potentially harmful manner, you actually instruct them on where to put their thumbs. I've never heard of anybody having a thumb placement problem while running before.

However, foot strike, stride rate and leg recovery these are problems people have in running most efficiently, especially it seems you.

Sorry, I wouldn't be so mean if it wasn't for the fact that your advice is likely to hurt people.
