  • God i want to see this so bad........

  • i saw them in concert last week

  • the original cast definitely captured the sound.

  • 42 people tried to sing along.

  • I love the original cast of Jersey Boys!!! I've seen the others perform it, but it's just not the same. This is the best original cast ever.

  • I've seen Jersey boys five times. 3 times in New York City and twice in London. It's a timeless musical.

  • Is that really them or guys pretending to be them?

  • @formerjerseygal u heard me

  • Jersey Boys is my favorite musical of all time. I've seen it twice and I'm only 15. I will be seeing it again and again for the rest of my life.

  • these guys re great but check out straight with no chaser, they are just as good!!!

  • What a terrific show!! Whoever plays Frankie always has to be approved by Frankie, himself.

Want to see it again. A movie would be great!

  • Why so critical? This is a fantastic show. I have seen three companies and they are all great.

  • Now icant sing as high as these frankie valli guys. But this guys just isnt good. Joseph leo bwarie ( frankie valli national tour 2011) is 10 timea better. This valli in this video is actualy the alternate valli for the tour this year

  • @ChaseFranklinProject he orginated the role its tough john lyoid young won the tony his amazing. The creating of the role is hard and he brought humanity and humerity

  • He is not as good as the one we had in Appleton, WI. He sounded so much like him!! If you closed your eyes u would swear Frankie is in the room, thought he was good looking on his own.

  • The dude pales in comparison to the original Frankie. He doesn't even sound close to him.

  • @Timiuas17 He is the original Frankie. That is unless you were talking about Frankie Valli himself, in which case no one compares with him.

  • I like Ryan's (the original Frankie in London) falsetto better than John Lloyd's. However, for everything else (i.e. non-falsetto singing, pronunciation, etc), I like John Lloyd the best.

  • This is a great show! See it if you can.

  • seen this show in both London and New York, London performance edged it, but both nights were AMAZING!

  • I find that I like the Jersey Boys version of their songs better than the original.

  • @Pennywisea ...nothing can beat the original no matter genre, artist, bands, etc. thats just offensive to the original artist that created the songs in the first place.

  • @AGA151994 I disagree. Being a Beatles fan for my entire life, I have found that the Across the Universe remakes are amazing and sometimes better than the original. That's not to say that I hate the Beatles or that you are completely wrong, but there are exceptions to the rule.

  • @ShowerRockstar1 While I agree that the originals aren't always better, I have to say that I found Across the Universe to be a travesty to both the music and as a movie in general.

  • Love Love Love, it. What a BLAST into the past.

  • he is the best Frankie ever!

  • i likee the american cast. i saw the show last year on broadway... it was amazing!!! <3

  • The orginal cast was the best I don't know what some of the UK fans of Jersey Boys are saying!! The British West end cast sound okay but they are sooooo stiff!!! Yeah the British cast don't have to force it as much but I've noticed that with some British singers they don't over-sing!! That's good being subtle is better. I want to see the Aussie cast though.

  • I actually think that the Australian cast sounds more authentic

  • I like Ryan Molloy's voice better for Frankie Valli. Actually, I think Jersey Boys London is better because the leads were casted so well.

  • Some of the negative comments on one of the best musicals ever created are by people who have never seen the live show. It's quite apparent because they don't know what the fuck they are talking about.

  • @prallworks thank you

  • @prallworks Thanks mate, saved 2 minutes of my life ;)

  • i cant believe there is someone who can recreate the unique and stunning voice of franki Valli!!! It takes some talent!!! :)

  • Somebody needs to make a musical about those backup dancers in all the early videos-and not one where they are portrayed as a bunch of whores or strippers. Real chicks with hip.

  • This is the only song I like from this play...

  • When I saw it in NYC it was a lot better and wad a completely different cast and were much better but defiantly the best broadway musical I've seen

  • the guy with the high singing sounds like he's singing it fake if you know what i mean where as the uk one its his real voice

  • @34BestBuds43 OMG your absolutely right. The guy playing Franky Valley. seems like hes forcing that out. I have to admit, the London Jersey Boys really do seem alot better. But saying that you cant really put much comparison on them. because these guys are still fantasic. The Jersey Boys production is a great one

  • @34BestBuds43 he is singing falsetto trying to sound like someone! I would like to see u try to sing like that w/o sounding fake!

  • @TheBroadwaybabe01 ok ok i wasn't asking for a fight. I was just puttin my opinion. That is what the comments box is for

  • @TheBroadwaybabe01 then why does he sound like he's pushing it? If you listen to Ryan Molloy from the London cast, he doesn't like that at all. Ryan's voice is clearly stronger

  • @CrackBRCC123 i don't like his voice, i think the best frankie is Jarrod Spector by far but everyone is entitled to have their own opinion

  • 2:38 for the actual singing

  • John Lloyd Young is from the city I grew up in/near. He showed me around backstage (of Jersey Boys) once :)

  • Comment removed

  • I seen them last year on Broadway ! Totally amazing :D

  • All round John lloyd Young is the better singer. However as for the range... Ryan Molloy hands down.

  • JAW DROPPING PERFORMANCE I WISH I COULD HAVE AFFORDED TO GO TO THIS SHOW WHEN IT WAS IN ATLANTA

  • Okay, found it, THIS was the cast from when I saw Jersey Boys on Broadway. I loved it that people in the audience (well some of them, anyhow!!), really got into the music and hummed, clapped and sort of danced along, as they did when I saw Mamma Mia musical while in NY as well.....

  • i am madly in love with john lloyd young.

  • not a patch on the london cast

  • Paul talks too much!!!! Shut up already & introduce them, he's a drama queen:(... blah blah blah!!!

  • The note from 4:04 - 4:10 kills me. Absolutely fantastic!!!!!! Im dying to see this.

  • too much intro with letterman...

  • John Lloyd Young... Wow! Sharp and sexy!

  • I like John Lloyd but Ryan Molloy of the London cast is a much better Frankie.

  • John Lloyd Young is awesome but I have to give props to Jarrod Spector. Both men perform songs differently and I hear Franki in both of them.

  • this dude in this video got frankies voice down to a tee....

  • That is not the real cast from Jersey Boys, but i still like it.

  • Comment removed

  • @daroemer The is the original cast, the one that spawn all other casts.

  • Saw this and loved it!

  • Wow I saw this in melbourne last week! it was amazing!! The best show I have ever seen!!!

  • who ever was the cast on Broadway 2 years ago was awesome. the guy who played Frankie Valli looked and sounded more like him then this guy when he sung

  • i saw this in indy!!!! AMAZING!!!!!! loved it!!!

  • The best shows I've seen are from Toronto and Sydney. Broadway is a very close second though

  • Hi! I'm New to YT... Plz check out my "channel" and "Vocal Covers"!! Thx. xD

  • im sorry but apart from john lloyd young iwho plays franki in this vid the whole cast are like a local school play compared to londons west end version, vocally and in choreography. watch a west version to the right its so much better. even then this franki only compares to londons franki equally at best. in my opinion west end version is so much better.

  • I"ve got to say, john lloyd young isn't nearly as good as john michael dias, who was an understudy who i saw in indianapolis recently. dias' voice was incredibly pure and sweet, and he didn't miss one note in the entire show. its a shame that young is getting so much hype and credit while there are younger less well known actors who play the part far better.

  • Saw Jersey Boys twice. It's brilliant :]

  • John's falsetto is shit. Ryan Molloy's is about 50 times better.

    4:32 - 5:04

fucking cheesey/nasal-y cringey shit. the strain on his face says it all. why the fuck do they say he is better than Ryan..

  • @Well4QThen You have to keep in mind, back then John Lloyd Young did all 8 shows and this appearance was on their night off, so I can understand the strain his voice must've been in. I've heard/seen Ryan very nasal-y in a lot of the videos.

  • Aussie cast eats em up

  • @thepug1974 LOL

  • franke ftw

  • australian cast is better..... there i said it

  • i went to vegas last year and im only 12 and i saw them ....ever since then i loved them(: verrrryyy good showww

  • john lloyd young is the best out there. no doubt. all the other casts ive seen arent nearly as good as the originals

  • 2:39 where the medley finally begins

  • it gives me goose bumps!!!!

  • Shut up Paul!

  • DUDE i saw this at vegas cuz i live there and IT WAS THE SHIET

  • This musical was amazing! I wish it wouldn't have left Chicago!

  • skip to minute 3 for the musical

  • the band guy talks for way too long, you shoulda edited that out

  • these guys came to my school in rochester and i got to work 1 on 1 with tnem n my drama master class they are really fun to b around

  • Performance is great and accompanied by David Letterman is PERFECT. Paul, drop it!

  • How does he sing in falsetto like that? Is it natural talent or is it something that is trained?

  • best show i have ever seen.. i am hooked....wanna go back and see it again and again and again...tonight....!!!!!!!..NOW!!!!!!!

  • I've seen this show and I must say it was the best broadway show I have ever seen and worth seeing over and over again.

  • Did anyone else hear the first part of "Walk Like A Man" Off pitch?

  • I have seen all the professional shows of Jersey Boys (never got old) and I have to say, the best were Toronto and Broadway

  • I REALLY WANNA SEE THIS!

  • i saw the show, but i love how the guy is giving away the storyline, fucking idiot

  • Saw it twice in tampa! Loved it!

  • I usually avoid "jukebox musicals" like the plague, but I gotta say that this show was OUTSTANDING. I see a lot of Broadway and this show really pulled it home.....the guys in the show were outstanding, there was a book, and the songs did more than just entertain...they advanced the plot.

what's interesting about the show is that the songs are uptempo'd a bit...not complaining, but they run a bit faster than the original 4 Seasons recordings. Wonderful show...performance....SEE IT...worth it

  • The guys in melbourne were the slickest and best - the youtube versions of london and broadway are nowhere near as convincing - check out the melbourne guys - we went last weekend and had to see our doctors afterwards we were so giddy.

  • @uberflash1 . Yeah went to melbourne last week. i agree they were so much better in Australia.!! :)

  • @TheEmilybow

Though I hope you know, the broadway Jersey Boys and the London Jersy Boys are coreographed the same. Frankly I like Ryan Molloy thats it. An Glenn Carter. But I think the Broadway beats out everyone. Especially Scott Monello. Srry.......just my opinion.

  • I saw Jersey Boys last year. A few months earlier I saw Frankie Vali at a casino. He STILL can SING IT ! Actually he puts these guys to shame, lol!

  • of course he does. they are pretending to be him. lol it be kind of sad if they played him better then he plays him self

  • will someone put a muzzle on paul shaffer please

  • I saw this and have to say it was really, really good. I would see it again.

  • ugh, i love this musical! i saw and cried... wow

  • I highly agree with adyysia Bobby Fox is an amazing singer and performer and the Australian show is fantastic! After listening to all the Frankie Valli's i think he is the best by far :)

  • Melbourne ( Australia) show is fantastic. Bobby Fox is absolutely brilliant as Frankie Valli. Other voices and performances are also wonderful. Jersey Boys is a must see again and again and again and again show. Doesn't really matter where you see it!

  • Ryan Malloy = downfall of an otherwise brilliant London cast.

  • careful Jack. don't forget that the original Four Seasons were from the United States. So, they were, I suppose as you would say "daft yanks" Go figure that someone would make a great musical based on people from the US.

With that said, from what I've seen and heard, the London cast bested the others. But hey, let's not sling mud. There's talent in every nation, if you're willing to look for it.

  • And arent alot of the musicals in London based on the US? There is a thought. Mamma Mia Jersey Boys Hairspray The sound of Music Wicked. Avenue Q Chicago Grease Legally Blonde is definately ours! There is 9 musicals made in the US or US based that are going to the west end. so uh yea. Watch what ya say buddy.
  • @ARbenSRbarGR your very smart :D

  • You suck, buddy! London cant hold a candle to the original broadway cast. Go drink some tea and crumpits!

  • What rock you been living under fella?? The London cast trump the others. Compare the choreography for a start! The Broadway Boys move like drunken elephants and their lead looks "nothing" like Frankie.

  • I was on Broadway for opening night. If you had been there you would know exactly what I am talking about. I have seen 4 different casts and the original Broadway is hands down, by far the best! Have seen clips of London cast and there is no comarison. Ask Frankie, he'll tell ya' straight on which cast was his favourite and the best!

  • @ascotlane

Dude listen, the London guys move like prissy effeminate gaydars. Ryan Molloy doesnt look like Frankie, J. Robert Spencer doesnt look like Nick Massi. I like the London guys, but compared to these guys, they cant even stand up. He sounds like Frankie Valli thats what matters. On broadway you dont need to necessarily look the part and in this case JLY doesnt. We like him for his voice and how great of an actor he is. So I suggest you stuff it and look at the faults of the london cast!

  • that paul is so annoying

  • wow um nothin ever will beat the original broadway cast the aussie and london show pale in comparison thts y shows try to get on broadway they dont try to go to london or australia cus broadway will always be the best just thought i shud clarify for you ppl who THINK your countries performers were better

  • I've only seen JB london cast perform live (three times so far) so you could say I'm emotionally attached to our guys. But this was good too. Everyone should see the show once. Can I just point out that Bob Gaudio wasn't a gangster. He provided stability to the group when he joined them.

  • australian cast the best by farrr!!! bobby fox, scott johnson, stephen mahy and glaston toft can't be beaten!!!!!

  • Well they quite obviously can be beaten, but yes, they are very , very good.

  • love nick in the aussie cast hilarious

  • Londons Frankie Ryan Molloy is so much better than the others. he has a fab voice, much better looking than the others, and is gorgeous :D

  • The Chicago cast was the best BY FAR!! I've seen the one in New York and hte one in Chicago...Chicago's "Frankie Valli" is a way better singer by far.

  • no way, london cast is amazing. i love them

  • Does anyone know the name of the singer who plays Franki Valli? Of all the different Franki Valli wannabes, this guy is the one who impresses me the most.

  • John Lloyd Young. He was the original Frankie Valli on Broadway, and won a Tony for the role.

  • Jarrod Spector

  • Same here. His name is John Lloyd Young. He's since left the show, however, much to my chagrin because I'd really loved to have seen the show with him in it.

  • Australian cast fantastic ,wonderful.Loved it will go see them again

  • the guy with the glasses looks blind lol

  • I've seen the Toronto production 3 times and it is fantastic - still playing after 1 year!

  • the lead guy is from IL Divo!

  • Never !! Completely different person.

  • quick yacking about it paul and get them on stage already.

  • yeah london version is better then the broadway, BUT DONT FORGET...

NOTHING COMPARES TO THE FOUR SEASONS FROM AMERICA!!!

  • These guys are the original cast hand picked by Bob Gaudio. And the guy who plays Frankie in this video was approved by Frankie Valli himself. His name is John Lloyd Young, and Frankie Valli has said that he couldn't imagine anyone else playing him other than John, and of all the Frankie's he's seen, John is still his favorite. No one is better, I'm sorry.

  • I agree completely. The original cast is the best EVER! JLY is the best Frankie. He will always be. Granted this isn't their best performance. Ya'll should check out some other ones and you will see why they are tops. But still Kudos to the other Frankies :)

  • these guys are different, the ones i saw were in red jackets and sang much better, this "franki" sounds like hes gettin raped

  • Comment removed

  • I totally agree with purplekatie24

The London Cast is BRILLIANT..............WOW, WOW AND WOW..........Please take a look at them. They're the GREATEST......LOL.......

  • I will have to check out the England versions, but come on; these guys are fantastic! I love it.

  • catchy... lol... i likee it.

  • You're crazy!! Have have you seen the Frankie Valli playing now? I think this is good! So there not EXACTLY like the 4 seasons! I bet your guys have weaknesses too! Have you ever thought about that?!!

  • I wouldn't say there better they have a different sound than the london cast but I would't say thier beter

  • Vegas baby. Vegas cast is amazing..

    Palazzo

  • ive seen the london cast for 10 times coz my family likes it and i dont mind it

  • I saw this at the Garde theater in Hartford CT, and they harmonized better than this cast.

  • Dont get me wrong I love this musical... just not this cast... ew

  • yes i agree i like the London and Toronto better

  • /watch?v=JQbAO1Jcxok

    view this!

  • shut the hell up paul, we get it, your gonna see it again for the third time.

  • I saw the musical in london.. I LOVE IT!

  • LUCKY!!! I wish I was seeing Ryan Molloy rather than this screechbox :(

  • Can;t take my eyes off of you eather!!!

  • The original cast is soooo good! (=

  • sooooooooooooooooo goood :) I <3 Jersey BOYS!!!!

  • sa177, thanks so much for posting!

  • is that bobby spencer?

  • That guy needs to quit interrupting him.

  • I love this music and I loved the show in NY. Check out Hillcrest Jersey Boys on YouTube.

  • we could do without the first two minutes of Paul's babbling !
