Love this Jen. An organizer is a must!  When I went into labor with my 1st child I made my husband bring mine to the hospital. Everyone thought I was nuts but I luv to keep track of everything!

I love the filefax, I have a few. I use one to put all my family history etc. I also agree with the working at home thing. Im a carer and its a very long day and its hard to get that cut off period.

Im using a A5 page per day for the todos at the moment, its the first year Iv done that so I may change it for next year.

I used Franklyn Covey organizer just like you, but it was too heavy to carry around, smaller binders didn't worked out too becuse ao too limited space. I don't like iCal on my iPhone also, so i did a research and found Time2Do iPhone apps, and it feels like a really good app! I am a wisual person, so paper planner works best for me, but I carry my iPhone with me everywhere, and doing my notes on it even during the night, so I have to use it!

Ugh I just ordered the whole filofax system! Your a bad influence Jen ;) I can't wait to get more organized. I too was battling between my iCal and my coach planner. The coach planner was too small and I kept forgetting my appointments. But your right about iCal! its not the greatest calendar app!

Hi Jen, I am glad the Filofax is working. I use the Life Planner by Erin Condren. I like it because it is slim but it fit all the appointments in my daily life. I am a housewife as well but I also have a 6 year old daughter. This planner along with my Ical is working great. Thanks for this video and I am looking forward seeing part two. I'm just curious.. do you have a life journal? I really want to start because I regret not having one as I grew up. It sounds kind of silly now that I'm writing it down, but I feel like I almost need motivation to start journaling! I follow the Shaytards on yt and a part of their lifestyle/religion is that they keep a life journal. It sounds like such a good idea, but I really don't know where to start. I don't care for physically writing things down so maybe if I journaled on my computer?

Love this video. Filofax paper can be pretty thin, do those colored pens bleed through at all? I'm always looking for a reason to buy more colored pens! I feel a Filofax reorganization in my future. Thanks for the inspiration!!

You and I are so similar is so many ways! I also have social anxiety, and I am also very organized and cannot function without my "lists" and organizing my life. I have a binder system right now, maybe I will make a video showing it one day. I have a family binder, my daughters binder, kitchen binder, and my "life" binder (for goals, to do lists, organization, schedules etc...) but after watching your video I would love to get one of those filofax organizers! I am in love!!

Jen, don't you find it a waste to manage a digital AND paper calendar? I find myself spending more time recreating the same appts, copying them from one to the other. I must own dozens of calendars/notebooks/apps & and I'm still trying to find the right one or combination. One hint from a pro organizer I worked with: when you work with a to do list, once you complete an item, HIGHLIGHT it rather than cross it off. It's easier to see and so much easier to read when you have to refer back.

I got the Domino last month, still tweaking(may also go with a snap closure) it to work. I used to use Franklin Covey but find that their binders are soooooo much heavier. Love my Filofax since it is so much lighter. Can't wait to see how the project managment section turns out. Debi

Unbelievable. Every time I watch videos like this with planners and organizing I feel so motivated! But then I always think: there's not a lot I actually do so why plan it out? What are the things you plan in it? I mean sure, I've got my work (shift work) but except for that I wouldn't really know what to put in there...even though I would love to be as organized since I'd feel like I'm actually doing more than sleeping, eating and working! @Stef6788 I, too, work rotating shifts (12 hour, nights). I am also a college student. And a wife. And "mama" to 3 furbabies. Truthfully, I don't have alot of other obligations/scheduled events. Mostly, because I like it that way. In my planner (The Erin Condren Life Planner), I write in my work shifts (and clock in/out times), my school schedule (when I'm in class, when there is an exam or paper due, study time), my housecleaning schedule, and any other social/medical/etc appointments.

I love my filofax and have month to view, I find that highlighting days is also a great way to see what's going on with the month. I work shifts and for me it is alot easier to see what is going on...just something for you to think about. Happy birthday by the way!! Your hair looks lovely when it is pulled back off your face.

I only use frixxon pilot erasable pens, they are awesome. I have to clip them to the outside of the pen holders on my filofax, but they allow me to change things around in my planner without whiteout.  I also use the alphabet tabs that come with the planner (suppose to be used for the phone directory).I use it as a file to file projects and various notes that I want to keep there and organize. Also, look into the jot pads. I use mine as a tickler file.

If you like keeping track of your week you should d/l the WeekCal app on your iphone! You can see a weekly view of your events, something the default calendar lacks. And it also has a "mini month" view where you can view the month but instead of those colored dots it actually shows what you typed in for that day. I love it!
