She has some good emotion going on there for a 9yo hich is very rare at that age! But man the make up is horrible and it doesn't even match with the costume that isn't the best choice either!
I actually really liked her expressions. It's remarkable that someone of her age has focused so much on telling the story of the dance while still being so solid on technique and flexibility and strength and all that. For me she was entrancing and I cannot wait to see her 5 years from now.
I think she's amazing, but I have to say, as great technique she has, I don't feel anything when she dances, like I don't feel the soul of the song coming out, theres not emotion, and i just think at that age they shouldn't have songs that they don't understand the concept of completely.. And I understand what I'm talking about because I'm a dancer of 7 years now
@i1hateyou The make-up is typically mostly for the stage lights. You can't see a person's facial features in that setting without heavy make-up outlining and highlighting them, which looks a lot worse than a kid wearing make-up. It's just a necessary evil for any performer, unfortunately, no matter what age, because of the lighting situation.
She's so strong to be able to hold her leg up like that! I know plenty of much older dancers who have trouble making that look so effortless. Her acting skills are great, too :)

This girl is an amazing dancer, but i dont think she truly understood what she was dancing about and the facial expressions were a bit forced. Looked to me like she was in pain. Her technique is amazing though and she will definitely become an even more amazing dancer as she grows older and truly understand what she is dancing for and about. I tried to do the thing she does with her leg, where she makes it perfectly straight and her foots like . . . up to her head. I used to dance, I still do but not at a company anymore; just whenever I want to, and I tried that, thinking it was easy . . and now my nose is bruised.
You know a dancer is truely amazing when they make whatever they're doing look simple.
Dear people who think dance is all tutus and turns...
Watch any great dancing video and tell me you don't see muscles, that their turns aren't impressive. That you can lift your leg that high too. You can't.

@xoxlottieluxox they're a special type of shoe used for your toes forbdance, helps the dancer do turns and movements on their feet, otherwise they'd get blisters
@sikoneahh they are called 'foot undeez' or foot undies. my sister does lyrical and she has a few pairs. its just like a little padded pouch that straps around your foot and goes underneath so that when you turn your foot isnt in direct contact with the ground, because as you said correctly you would get blisters :)

I think for her makeup, they should have gone with a lighter lipstick that looked more natural and for her eyeshadow she should have worn "crystal waters" from Covergirl to match her costume
Really enjoyed this. For her age, this young girl has a great understanding of her body and it's facility. Lovely clarity of line and control. I think she has raw talent that will develop with age. Watch out for this girl. A star!

Great dancer, but if she keeps hyper extending her knees and doesn't keep her knees over her toes, then she's gonna need surgery before age 20

I think for her makeup, they should have gone with a lighter lipstick that looked more natural and for her eyeshadow she should have worn "crystal waters" from Covergirl to match her costume

Really enjoyed this. For her age, this young girl has a great understanding of her body and it's facility. Lovely clarity of line and control. I think she has raw talent that will develop with age. Watch out for this girl. A star!

amazing i loved it but maybe next time not so much make up all ill coment on cant see your eyes maybe just a lil mascara and eyeliner try natural/ nuetral colours :) very very good dancer keep it up u have a lot of potentual
