Hey guys... did you know that the Once Upon a Time in China movie series, and a lot of Chinese movies for that matter, often illustrate Hmong/Miao people poorly? They're often set in the Qing period and Hmong people are the inspiration for "secret society" and "cults" that the protagonist fights. Many of our historical rebellions and leaders were shaman warriors, so the Chinese cast us "crazy people" in their movies today. Take it for a grain of salt, but remember they are making fun of us.
