best thing there's that rautiainen said twice before the crash at 1:59 and at 2:05 "älä ota riskejä" and "ei, ei, riskejä" which translates into "don't take risks" and "no, no, risks". Just few seconds after they hit the wall :D

Marcus opted for cut slicks. Loeb used heavy wets at this point. Later he had to switch to cut slicks since he did not have any wets left with Marcus out the pressure was off. Going to miss Marcus next year. Just hope that Hirvonen and Latvala will be able to pressure Loeb next year for another exciting year. I think Marcus was putting himself under allot of pressure to retire on top, but just never showed it. Finnish drivers are good like that, less emotion more driving.

I agree, the rally is the poorer for his absence. Cant see what caused the accident, the car seems to have lost grip before turning, could it have been icey there, he knew the grip levels from previous turns.There has to be more to this, a man of his immense skill doesnt go off like this without there being a good reason.
