  • Do you like the legere reed and would you recommend it. Mostly because in getting sick of the break in proccess.

  • @ArtemisApollo26 I've tried two models of the Legere reed and although it's nice to play without having to soak, sand, or break in like a normal reed, i've found that i have better control with regular reeds over the legere. It may just be my technique or setup though. You should try them out and if you don't like it, keep it as a back-up or return it. Legere and I think WWBW accept returns and exchanges (i returned one of my Legeres)

  • I wish you'd post the sheet music in Bb :(

  • I like it but y do u do u hold ur clarinet so far away from u? i play clarinet nd nobody i kno does that?

  • I PLAY THE CLARINET!! Our concert is tomorrow and its soo fun to play! keep up the great work. You just inspired to me to really focus on my playing! :)

  • Do you know where I can get the sheet music? Me and my friend are looking everywhere for this!

  • @Felinthian buy it at a music store or get some blank music sheets and start copying my video

  • is that smartmusic? i can't find like this kind of program that plays songs like paparazzi and this song

  • @rangerxx345 no, it's Notation Composer

  • I play a a leblanc =3 it's nice to play the clarinet.. sometimes not like beginner saxaphones... OW.

  • im not gonna lie....this is pretty bad ass

  • omg ur really good...:)

  • what clarinet are you playing on?? is it leblanc

  • @dan199212 Buffet E11

  • @DTrinh09 Buffet is the best hands down, but LeBlanc could give them a run for their money if they REALLY tried.

  • Thank you! :) you're like the only person who actually ahs the music right there , so it's easy to follow along, :D

  • how pretty :)

  • WOW!! nice job! tip: lay off the vibrato in some spots, but dang that's a great thing!!

  • Where did you get you music from?

  • You are my new idol xD Hahaha, I love you and your instrumental genius :3 ((I play the Bass Clarinet xP))

    Mwahaha~

    You are awesome!

((Once again, you are amazing! From listening to all your videos, you are definitely gonna be something great in life. Hoping to see you some time in Carnegie Hall :P ))

  • @ShadowedHearts contra-alto and Eb soprano. both are fantastic to play like bass (tried it once) but contra-alto isn't the easiest.

  • @lennyclarinet26 Yeah, I have heard that Contra-alto was actually pretty hard, huh? I wouldn't mind trying it one day, just to see how it feels compared to Soprano and Bass.

  • @ShadowedHearts it's quite a bit bigger than the bass, but it has a very unique sound to it. it's also tough when you're my size (about 5' 8") and you don't have a tall enough chair because then you have to figure out how to make it work, I played it at a concert and the chairs that the band had were a good height for me.

  • @lennyclarinet26 Aww haha I feel your pain. :P I am about 5"8, or 5"9 now. Definitely something I will look into though. (: Haha every time I watch this video, it gets better in my opinion. Keep it up.

  • do you have the sheet music in like a pdf or something? can you somehow send it to me?

  • Talk about skill! :)

  • Dang!! You are really good!

I love how you have the music on screen, it's very convenient. I play the clarinet too. I showed my mom this video and she loved it too. You are very talented, keep up the good work :)

  • @iceskatelover201009 aw thank you. :)

  • Hey! That was pretty good! Keep up the good work!

  • awesome!!!

  • WOW!

  • good job david. that was pretty sick.

  • OMG! i LOVE this vid! :) I'm almost 13 years old, and in honor band for my school. I can't wait for more videos from you :)

  • this is great!

  • you are freaking amazing!

  • do u play for a youth symphony?

  • no but that would be really cool!

  • personally i thought it was amazing. i love this song and really wanted to learn how to play it. do you have music for any other popular songs? i play the clarinet as well(about 5 yrs.) i thought you were awesome and sounded great.

  • this is really good. but like some of the notes r kinda off on the rhythm but still FANTASTIC (;

  • what kind of ligature is your gold one? i just got the vandoren leather one and i'm about to get the buffet e11 clarinet. is it good and worth buying? cuz you sound great! i'm a junior in high school and been playing since 4th grade. suggestions?

  • the gold one is called an "Oleglature" and it came free with my E11. I wouldn't recommend buying it separately though--it's very cumbersome and hard to adjust. Keep the Vandoren Leather. I use the all black leather patch but your mileage may vary.

just remember buying gear and accessories doesn't replace skill. so practice, practice, practice!

  • @DTrinh09 I have a Rovner Dark ligature, and soon will be getting a Buffet R13, but any Buffet is worth the money, even though it's alot! And yes, do practice alot!

  • Two questions:

How long have you been playing/

    and

    Is this E 11 A clarinet or B flat?

  • about 6 years

    Bb

  • Amazing! Go clarinets!

  • LMFAO. amazing dude. <3

  • NICE JOB-_-

  • This is too advanced im 11!!

  • that was awesome and if i may, i'd like to request crazy town by ozzy! i'm learning to play it on my clarinet but as a person who started 2 years ago i haven't had such luck. keep up the good work =]

  • I have a question.

Are u playing the B Flat Clarinet?

  • yes i am

  • hey can u send me the notes thanks

  • not perfect but pretty good. some synchronisation and timing issues and also some pitch issues. but not bad at all.

  • DUDE you're amazing : D

  • good job hey where did u get the notes from

  • I like how you put completely random tags in the description box thing. Unless if I'm mistaken and this video does have something to do with Lady Gaga, Susan Boyle, Ryan Seacrest etc.

    Awesome video!

  • k see now i need to start doing this lol i never knew a clarinet do this ugh that if i get get my clarinet to stop messin wiht me i tell u hates me lol

  • lol i dont think i'm that good

  • but do you play in school lol

  • i did in middle school and high school, but i never auditioned for honor bands. not playing for the college orchestras either.

  • lol im doing all-region for the clarinet right now...

  • i'd definitely want to hear your audition recording

  • well it works differently down here in texas, they only record us for another thing....we actually have to audition in front of judges with alot of people there, and then theyll place us

  • Your in Tx.....?!?!?! What school district? upload videos I haven't heard too many people from out of the Houston area :/

  • im in the private school area!!! thats funny, what about you?

  • You should play Hotel Room Service. :)

  • No they are not twins he just did 2 separate videos and combined them into 1

  • Ya'll put the ligature the wrong way

  • there are certain ligatures you can get that go on that way.

  • goooooooood

  • are yall twins?

  • you need to have faster air

  • you shouldn't hold the clarinet out that much

  • i know, it looks silly huh

  • Maybe it's the camera

  • wow, this was really good dude :) lol, I also play the clarinet - thanks 4 the music at the bottom - v helpful ;) nice job - sounded ace! x

  • i played it thanx for the music on bottom

  • hey

  • that is so great

  • I play the violin but ur just plain awesome!!! haha =)

  • Thanks! :)

  • wow this was really awesome, did u put all the notes together? i also play clarinet, i would love to do something like this.

  • No i didn't write the music out. i use this program called Notation Composer that can read midi as sheet music like what you see above. it's really cool

  • thank you so much for the notes. Im learning right away

  • AWESOME! lol, my friends trying to learn this song. :D

  • good luck! post a vid response if you guys get it down :)

  • nice job done here no more comments than this!

    good job.

  • Mate U R AWESOME

I Can Play It 2 Its Really Good I will Post Video Reponse Soon

  • thanks hope to hear it soon :)

  • i playthe clairnet to and i love this song. thank you so much for the notes. by the way you rocked. i loved it

  • Haha This is good. Your ligature on the left is very pretty. XD

  • What? Are you kidding? At least you have backups, haha. I have no such technology to do mixing. Can you tell me what you use?

Anyways, as for my feedback. I think your intonation was very good. The timing could use some work. And is there a way you could incorporate some vibrato into that?

I know how you feel though, I haven't had private lessons, either. ^^

  • lol. i use adobe premiere pro cs3 i think (cs4 is also out). i record with a logitech quickcam deluxe--not that high-techy. i forgot how long this video took me; definitely more than a few days. i tried my best to align everything, but after a while i got tired and sloppy. the chorus definitely needs work. but uh, thanks lol--i really want to put up a new video soon but i just had my wisdom tooth pulled so i'll be off for at least a week.

glad to get a quick reply--at least you're human. :)

  • How much does the Adobe program cost?

Thing with video collabs is that you need headphones and listen to the first recording you did and play alongside that recording. Syncing the music will be much easier that way. If more than two parts, mix the first two and listen to the mix while you record your third.

So you're middle school? =p I personally think all instruments are awesome -- we just need talented musicians to play them.

  • i play along with the midi (as you can see underneath the video) so as long as play according to that (and the tempo), matching should be theoretically easy. however, it isn't perfect so i have to reset the audio part to match better (i know it's cheating..)

no i'm heading to college this summer lol but i started learning clarinet from middle school band and continued for 3 more years in high school (gave it up my senior year but kept playing on the side)

  • Oh shoot nice. I'm 17 so I still have senior year to go.

I really love instruments though. Whenever I listen to music, I mostly ignore the lyrics and listen to the backtrack first. Then over time I start listening to the lyrics.

Well hey, keep in touch. I'll friend you =p

  • you're only 17? lol you look way older than me

  • is that ur twin!? u guys look just alike! & ur rlly good! thx 4 actually putting the music under! nobody does that! thx! : )

  • you should try paramores decode

  • omg! I LOVE IT!

    UR SO GOOD!

BUT ISN'T IT JUST ONE PERSON??

OR IS IT YOUR TWIN? HAHAHA!

  • The "both" of you were very good... lol

  • WOW!!! SQUIDWARD!! LOL

  • No comment. lol

  • you are so funny. You're also talented. I love watching the videos you've made,

  • dude do have sheet music for this? This is my fave song!

  • where did you get the music. thats pretty awesome dude, i play Bb Clarinet.....you'll have to hit me up with the sheet music. Message me!

    ~~Gabby~~

  • umm did you read the timing? you are so out of time during the 3rd bar in the chorus each time, and the counter part played cant do more than 2 quavers its awfull. i would say grade 3 possibly, as i am a proffessional playes in west end .

  • cool wanna give me free private lessons then? i've never had any in my entire life.

  • Can you please send me the sheet music for that? I don't want to be at the computer when I'm practising.

  • what kind of clarinets are you playing? it doesn't sound a bit like mine. mines a bflat clarinet.

  • Buffet E11 with a Zinner JC1 mouthpiece (came free with my clarinet purchase) and a gold Olegature (left) and a Vandoren Leather ligature (right). In this video I'm using a Muncy Diamond Barrel 66mm and I think a worn down V12 sz.3.5 reed. Gotta love G.A.S.

  • im so glad your making these clarinets are so under appriciated

  • thanks

it's kinda hard to find time to make more videos but as soon as summer hits, i should have more time. do you have any song requests or suggestions?

  • this is a very good video, you''re awesome at playing i play clarinet too,i only have been playing for two years though lolz:D

  • it seems like the more videos u do the better you get keep it up man

  • Great job!!!!!!

I love how you include live running sheet music playing in addition to the 2 of yourself playing. I know how difficult it is to produce this kind of thing. Curious, people keep asking me about my split screen vids, how to do it, etc. My system for making them is not user friendly or beginner friendly though. What software do you use?

  • Thanks :P

I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit my videos. I don't think the learning curve is that harsh, but I've only gotten around to using the basic features like cut/paste, transitions, titles, etc.

  • Oh ok. That's what my sister uses too. My operating system (Win2k) is too old to support the newer versions on that, plus its not free.

Since you say its not too hard to learn, Ill go ahead and recommend it to people seeking advice on how to do the types of videos we have been doing. The software I use is not user friendly at all and it would take me days to explain to people how to do it ... just to get them nowhere at all.

    Once again, good job!

  • Wow, david

    nice job!

  • LOLLLLLLL DAVID.

    Muy bien! ahahaha.

You have hecka good clarinet tone lol.... I could never match you!
