At least if anything extend the opening and closing of the park. There is no reason why this park can't be open for another 2 months or so perhaps a month extra on each end say March to Nov 1st. These guys did a great job trying to save a historic landmark in the Hope area and this bridge is EVEN bigger in scope when it comes to B.C.s heritage. Lets get behind this initiative and support preserving B.C's history and let's not let another landmark slip away! Contact your MLA today!
Yes! The government is indeed looking at destroying the bridge @1236grant even with New Pathways to Gold where funding was announced to improve access/paths/signage. These are minor improvements to the surrounding area. No money has yet to be decided on keeping the bridge and making the necessary long term upgrades to keep it. The government is now looking at the option of keeping it or destroying it. And who will be responsible for it! THIS IS REAL! WE MIGHT LOOSE THE ALEXANDRA BRIDGE!
