If you check out the Luna acoustic electrics, try the gype spalt model, which IMO is the best bargain in the line. For under $200 it sounds acoustically, as good as models for twice the price. It also looks almost identical to the one in the video.The downside is, the electronics are not as good.

I bought one for $170 and I love it (except for the electronics).

I played the quilted ash one at my local music shop today. I FELL IN LOVE! that guitar sounds INCREDIBLE! Definitely picking one up when i get the money!

Spalted Maple is a diseased wood and therefore yields a very wide varity of outcomes in production. Eachj one is unique, that much is certian :-)

From the looks of the top & back, Luna got the cuts of wood that are closer to the bark than the heart of maple. Spalted Maple it is, but the most desirable cuts of spalted maple have wider black lines and larger spaces between those lines. I do like the cutaway design, but I'd like a different headstock...Something like a 4 up top/2 below or 6 up top instead of the normal 3 & 3....just my preference, I guess.

i have to say i ordered this and i am very disappointed in the sound. i have ordered a couple ukes from luna and found them to be superb...where this guitar is beautiful constructed..and visually a very detailed gem..for the price...i am not satisfied with the sound it produces. the low end really doesn't ring out at all. i am sad because i was really hoping to purchase some more luna guitars, but this has turned me off .

I have a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry important question. Does this guitar ..and luna guitars in general have a smaller (in thickness) guitar neck? I have very small hands so this really matters to me ty

@lizabennich You can get a Luna Neo Mini. I have one because I am only 10. It's smaller in scale and the neck is smaller and shorter. It has the same features of a regular guitar, though: 24 frets and master tone and volume knobs.
