  • 31 people, Have had a Humour Bypass.

  • Glesgas Dellboy a bet thats you at the weekend lol..

  • A true Englishman; after getting up from the fall, there's still wine in the glass...

    Cheers mates!

  • this is hilarious

  • @RichardElden But if it went on for as long as it did? It would get noticed - and that was how it was. The general audience failure for 1981, it was built up and up and - quite simply from a lowest peak that series to a huge one (24+ million for an episode in 1996)

  • @BringItBackITV It should of went on for a lot longer than seven series's

  • @SP1D3RMAN75 Actually, it should still be going now- non stop, best thing that John, David and Nicholas have ever done.

  • @BringItBackITV I completely aggree

  • That RichardEden is a prick who wants putting down, what a thing to say.

  • lol we've all had moments like these: several in my case. I was on a school trip once and there was this holiday rep guy who just would not smile: one evening me and my friends were trying to make him smirk or laugh or something! I happened to walk into a lampost: he couldn't help but crack :D

  • @RichardElden I wish you would die of brain cancer except you can't cause there's no brain

  • some how i got here from MCFC website lmaoo .. and this is funny :)

  • folding to this earlier was on tele, had to come back for more

  • @sharonloveish You seem like a truly wonderful person

  • @RichardElden And that's your opinion mate, one that you are entitled to have, I'm sure.

But that wasn't really relevant to my comment, because I was talking about how much of an empty life you must lead to devote so much time to spreading your shit everywhere.

  • @RichardElden You have an incredibly sad life mate. I do not understand what someone can gain by wasting their time like this. Whether you're doing this just to get a reaction out of people or not, it doesn't matter. You're a joke.

  • @RichardElden So why are you watching it now?

  • gets me eveytime!

  • @RichardElden There are 100s of channels now and people still watch it regularly

  • Who could dislike this

  • @RichardElden you need to get laid or something.

  • "Rodney and Del won't do, although it might take your mind off the aches and the pains, laugh when he falls through the bar but you're feeling the same"

Oh Alex, now i see what you mean

  • Even the canned laughter was embarrassed to find this drivel amusing....yawn. Totally lame and weak. Did you need the prompt to know when to start chortling? No wonder Americans believe their comedy to be superior. Del Boy must be turning in his grave (assuming of course he actually made it there and that the coffin didn't fall off the hearse)

  • @ThePurist007 You are a complete idiot because only a complete idiot would not find this funny and only a complete idiot could even begin to compare US crud to English humour

  • @falangatang Really, is that the best you can do? With such talent, perhaps you should consider writing the next series. Absolutely priceless. What muppet planet are you from, btw?

  • @ThePurist007 You need to watch the full clip; ie; when Del Boy is talking about picking up women, and the type of men women go for. And David Jason (Del Boy) is still alive.

  • @ThePurist007 David Jason is still alive you moron. What sort of shows do you find funny then? I love only fools and horses, it is one of my all time favourite shows.

  • Trigger takes a full turn and still dosent notice him

  • And then trigger makes a face :D

  • UNREAL!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I'm caught in a perpetual tailspin. Amused by the joyous clip above. Depressed by the prepubescent comments below.

  • My country produces the best comedy in the world............PROUD TO BE BRITISH

  • @MrLFC1989 you are not wrong there about American comedies......two and a half men and Frazier are the biggest load of shit to come from America just not funny at all

  • @trueblue374 I am a huge fan of British comedies as well, although I think ever since OFAH, we haven't really been able to reach that sort of level anymore. Furthermore, there is one American comedy I quite like because it actually strays away from some of the more mainstream American comedies: The Big Bang Theory. It's alright, to be honest, because even if they have some implausible situations in TBBT, they use interesting concepts to explain these situations.

  • de fresh prince of bell air is de best dis is britishit yo britis laff at nuttin coz yo is dumbass honks

  • american s ar de best comedys coz dey is funee dis is crap they wood be baned in our country coz we haz good taste

  • Was she looking at Del or Trig?

  • @RichardElden why would people watch something crap? Makes no sence.go back to ur special needs institute.

  • @TheSoundzUK

If you can point us in the direction of a better show, please do. I'm always on the look out for a good comedy.

  • @SamusDrake you replied to the wrong person?

  • @TheSoundzUK

    Oh shit! Sorry matey! o_O

  • @RichardElden i still watch these? i have the box set,i have a 800£ computer a xbox sky with all the channels,i have almost all films at my fingertips on the internet. So why do i still watch these? You must honestly have no friends.Anybody who lives in london,or even has a brain would find this funny.Your simply a retard and everybody will agree with me.

  • Classic

  • God !!!... Is THAT IT THEN ??????? The so-called "6th Best Moment Of British TV" or something in one of those nationwide polls you've had around the Millenium ????... Really, be it British or French or American, the "General Public" as we call it will always have me baffled...

  • Ferkin` funny

  • @RichardElden yeah so crap it had half the population of brtain watching it at one point....

  • LOL - David you're the best!! - from your biggest fan in Canada.

  • @TheMadMontage no it was in the script

  • He who dares wins.

  • no no your cramping my style mate, cramping my style!

  • @WhoSoundFX

    The Skys the Limit

  • @TheMadMontage Obviously it was.

  • Best british comedy eva maybe world.on BBC1 every week day da now sky+ the lot of them.

  • this and the batman & robin scene are the best part from the series

  • best moment in series!

  • It's amazing to think originally Trigger wasn't even meant to be in this scene. It wouldn't have been the same without him

  • del boy is a legend!

  • Who needs a "sophisticated" comedy???? The series were simple and funny all round. Thats why people like it. Thats why its a classic in every sense of the word.

  • LMAO when he pops up with half his glass gone

  • @neaiancu your such a dick, such a funny show your just to stupid to realise you pathetic twat

  • 28 people fell through a bar.

  • Since I posted this on my FB page two days ago, it's had another 300 hits, LOL:P

  • i like trigger when turns round and sees no one there

  • RIP John sullivan what a brilliant sitcom you have created.

  • whenever im feeling down like i am now, this always makes me laugh :)

  • the best ever

  • Comment removed

  • this has to be the funniest sitcom ever made, every character and episode were just pure genious

it's the only show that i can just watch for a couple of minutes and just laugh at everything about it no matter what's going on :D

  • triggers face makes this scene

  • BEST COMEDY MOMENT IN TV HISTORY THERE IS JUST NO WAY NO CAN WATCH THIS WITH OUT NOT LAUGHING

  • @BossRoss999 yes you can, if you're not british

  • @neaiancu LOL sorry, that just means you're simple. (retarded)

  • @x120daysofsodom is this some kind of sofisticated comedy? no, this is for the short-minded people ...

  • @neaiancu why would you insult so many fans by calling them short minded, if this is any type of comedy its comedy gold!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @neaiancu If that is the case as you claim, why exactly are you here watching it an posting negative comments about a whole range of people you do not know & have never met?!. Clearly it is you who is short minded in your Self-absorbed manner......!!!

  • @neaiancu either you're a troll or you're just plain simple. This isn't slapstick for the "short-minded" (odd phrase), Only Fools and Horses is a classic situation comedy joined by such masterpieces as Fawlty Towers, The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin, I'm Alan Partridge, Phoenix Nights and Spaced.

This type of comedy is only simple to those who are such, if you don't see why this is funny then there is no hope for you.

  • @badbatch78 i saw a list titled "100 greatest tv moments" and this was 7th. came to see it, didn't see anything special, i said this is only that funny to british people and was called retarded. please TRY to read the original post

and you're calling me simple, but yet you're suspicious about a phrase you haven't heard before instead of recognising it as a great analogy, depth of mind for distance ... it's a translation from an old romanian saying, "long hair and short mind", targeted at women.

  • @badbatch78 I don't really like this show, but I like all those other ones. WHAT DOES THAT MAKE ME!?

  • @neaiancu "sofisticated"....thanks for proving my point. consult a dictionary you moron. LOL

  • @x120daysofsodom sorry for being from another country and making the most minor of spelling mistakes

  • Now that I have commented, there are 666 comments!

  • R.I.P John Sullivan, you have given me & my family many laughs and great times watching only fools & horses :)

  • I grew up watching this and it is still as funny now as it was then. English humor can't be beat. If you dont like this then I think you seriously need to learn how to enjoy your self.

  • i want too know were 28 who diddnt like it live, god get a life you sad gets.bet you lot still at collage, and dont work

  • @RichardElden I do not see any similarity between this and Steptoe & Son apart from them both being comedies, I would gladly watch it again, which I frequently do as I have it on box set so again you are wrong with your opinion. I guess it may have to do with your age but I still find it funny to watch

  • @RichardElden the last series finished in 1991 but the last episode was broadcast in 2003 and also you are wrong with suggesting that this is unfunny,

  • /watch?v=ew0qiozLtpU

  • @RichardElden A lot of it was in the 90s though

  • @RichardElden in the 90s?

    ofcourse it was

  • @RichardElden Computers existed when this was getting written..

  • what about the bestiality porn parody, Only fools fuck horses.

  • he fell through the bar, stew! he was standing vertical, and then he fell through the bar, and it's THE funniest thing thats ever been on television!!!!!

  • lol

  • 28 people failed in the Bar!

  • @WhoSoundFX

    The sky's the limit

  • love the negative comments from people who probably think the likes of little britain, alan carr, that berk with the long hair, brand? the eternally unfunny lenny henry and norton are hilarious. plonkers. this is solid gold real estate comedy, along with porridge, rising damp, the office and friends. based on reality and appealing to a mass, cross section of the great british public. looooove it!!

  • @pauline824 Well said my friend!

  • A man falls over O.o.....bloody hell that's brilliant!!!

  • @RichardElden get a new line you boring idiot. Only fools and horses is in British heratige with only vauge similarites to Steptoe and Son. If you dont like it... piss off and watch your Steptoe and Son.

  • na na na na na na na na na na!

  • How could one of the funniest clips in comedy have dislikes? there's some SAD F**KERS out there!

  • john sullivan what a mind you had .. and you have the irish bloodline from cork like me .. R.I.P John Sullivan a true writer for the bbc and the rest of the world

  • my fav programme..lolol

  • 51 seconds of pure comedy

  • 51 seconds long and it's one of the greatest moments in comedy history. R.I.P John, thank you for the laughs! The family always watch a bit of Only Fools at Christmas, it's like a tradition in our house.

  • triffic

  • drink up trig drink up we're leaving

  • @RichardElden yeah, 51 seconds, an absolute eternity!!!

  • LOLOLOL

  • RIP John Sullivan.

  • And Trigger makes a face.

  • hilarious!

  • Folks who don't have anything nice to say about this video get lost and don't watch it!! Best comedy show that has ever been produced and will ever be produced! It's won awards for a reason!

  • YOU PLONKER DEL BOY.

  • @MONTAGNEVILLE NO,RODNEY'S THE PLONKER!! NEVER DEL BOY!

  • Too predictable. All it needed was the bartender waving a sign as he was walking through the opened bar, "GUESS WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!"

And the laugh track, which has ruined countless TV comedies - if its really funny, we need to be prompoted?! - strikes again. Its amazing that they haven't been hammered into the film soundtracks.

  • @7855waldo British comedies have never used laugh tracks. All the laughs are from a live audience in the studio, and some of them are extremly loud.

  • @7855waldo It's predictable because it's classic and probably a bit over played (if thats possible), and this was filmed in front of a live audience, those were real laughs in real time, so bite your tongue you needless idiot.

  • @7855waldo I don't think this gag is all about the element of surprise - you could quite often see the gags coming but it was the acting and the delivery that made Fools and Horses a classic - and the way in which he falls through that bar, almost like a grandfather clock being pushed over, is comedy gold!

  • Too predictable. All it needed was the bartender waving a sign as he was walking through the opened bar, "GUESS WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!"

  • 26 people have done it themselves

  • John Sullivan was a comedy legend. Thank you for all the years of joy and laughter. "All right, Dave?"

  • @RichardElden I wouldnt say it ripped off step toe and son really, very different imo. Both are about working class Londoners but very different indeed. I think the constant playing of it on GOLD or how dels fall always comes high up on the 100 greatest comedy moments programs has led people to say they dislike it. Plus any one that likes to consider themselves an intellectual always shuns this show, when if they actually took the time to watch it they would see it isnt all cheap laughs.

  • R.I.P John Sullivan you were a 100% carrort gold bloke for giving us the nation such a grate tv comedy of all time

  • Comment removed

  • Here's to best comedy writer british tv had and probably ever will have, R.I.P John Sullivan or as Del Boy would say Bonjour John

  • Au revoir John

  • RIP John Sullivan, I am genuinely gutted you are gone and we wont get any more of your awesome heart and humour. We will always have your genius legacy though and thank you for it.

  • Best comedy moment of all time

  • And im sure we will see Rodney and Del in a new only fools sometime in the future. Thanks to John and everyone involved for bringing so many hours of laughter and captivating intrigue to the homes of Britian and even the world for years to come. The same goes for all those involved in all the great British sit coms, no other nation comes close to the treasure trove of comedy and drama we have. Lets not forget that.

  • Im really looking forward to rock and chips on Thursday, such a shame that Sullivan is dead, I hope the legacy will continue. I always thought Rock and Chips would develop into something more than Christmas and Easter specials. I hope it does, the foundation for many years of great comedy drama are there, someone with the right qualities just needs to take the reigns.

  • I never found this to be the best moment. I always found the more philosophical bits better, like when rodneys baby is stillborn, grandads "heroes fit for homes", or when everyone claps in the pub when del and rodney are millionaires. The way those moments of tragedy and shear joy can make you laugh and cry at the same time far outweigh the quick laugh of the bar fall or the batman and robin sketch.

  • @parrotcar I agree mate though this is still a fantastic slapstick gag. My fave ever OFAH scene is when Uncle Albert goes missing and Del and Rodders find him at the docks and he has a fantastic monologue that never fails to bring a tear to my eye.

  • @DirkD13 Yeah I also really like that bit. "They was rough people, but they was good people". Im sure its on youtube somewhere. :)

  • 0:10 :)

  • I can watch this 1000 times and laugh every time. Drink up Trig, were leaving!

  • R.I.P. John Sullivan, for you marked us all and left us one of the most valuable treasures of all time!

  • @Mcfcae well said

  • Steptoe and son ain't a patch on OFAH!!! RIP Mr Sullivan

  • Rest in Peace John Sullivan, this is one of my favourite british comedy shows and my personal favourite show of all time to :)

  • RIP John Sullivan this clip one of the best in British comedy

  • I have watched only fools and horses so much in my life(i'm 17) Thank you John Sullivan and R.I.P.

  • R.I.P John Sullivan

  • R.I.P John Sullivan

  • R.I.P John Richard Thomas Sullivan the man who created Only Fools 19446 to 2011

  • wat episod is this off dose any 1 no

  • @MRAMNIEZIA Yuppie Love.

  • @VicRattlehead50 thank you

  • R.I.P John Sullivan a comedy genius

  • THE GREATEST COMEDY WRITER EVER LEAVES US ALL WITH PLENTY TO LAUGH ABOUT - GOOD ON YER JOHN RIP MATE - KEEP ALL THEM PLONKERS IN LINE UP THERE

  • @RichardElden Shut up Richard, you've made your point.

  • @RichardElden Everyone has different tastes, and that's alright, isn't it? Personally, I thought Steptoe and Son was crap but I loved Only Fools and Horses.

  • @RichardElden How?

  • R.I.P John Sullivan ,what a writer.

  • thanks for the laughs john Sullivan . R.I.P
