  • This version doesn't have the same emotion to it as the original. There's no feeling to it at all. But love both these artists anyways.

  • aauccchh....Tom Higgenson looks like Alex Turner - Arctic Monkeys

  • Daryl Hall and the old timers(as they should be called) needs to stop trying to put his own flavor on modern day hits. None of you guys noticed the awkward look on the 2 gents from the Plain White T's faces?? pretty much the ENTIRE song...Especially the 2nd gtrst. from the T's. This song is beautiful on it's own...it's already stripped down and slow n mellow enough to begin with. Why anyone would wanna re-arrange this tune is beyond me. Hall should take his cowboy boots and go jam with bon jovi.

  • i have the same exact guitar that daryl is playing, awesome

  • Daryl makes this song awesome.

  • @thebrewerboys Please check out this version!

  • This rendition is beyond awesome ... I can't stop paying it over & over again!

  • The drummer (Shawn Pelton) playing a cardboard box ... classic!!!

  • is he using paintbrushes and his drumsticks???

  • @mingy30 acoustic drum brushes (:

  • Love it! Daryl Hall makes every song sound amazing.

  • I don't hate this song as much now. Like this version.

  • 4 guitars is way overkill. sounds good tho

  • Come on, y'all have to admit the addition of Darryl Hall's voice beautifully accentuates this song. Absolutely beautiful collaboration.

  • love this song even more..^__^

  • Plain White T's-now a fan.

  • awsome song, awesome performance. Keep on the great work.

  • something about this song is very Beatles-ish and even the lead vocal has a Pauline (if I may say so) look and sound about him... however, Daryl is as always outstanding and gives a sterling performance... he has a voice that drips honey gold

  • @SuddenSparkles-- You are soooo correct about the Beatles-ish flavor. I personally said it has sort of a 1960's feel to it. I thought it was just me, but it's not :)

  • @Democrat64 I'm glad to know I'm not alone... BTW have you seen the "Hey there Delilah Shih Tzu video?" if you like the original recording of this song you may find the playful puppy images to be more sugar than you can stand.

  • @SuddenSparkles-- I checked out the Shih Tzu video you suggested, I liked it, very sweet indeed. Thanks for the communique.

  • that guy playing on the cardboard box is over 9000.

  • only a thousand views and it's been on youtube for a month???????????? jesus christ what is wrong with kids today

  • that is ver surprising.. esp. cause its a featured vid

  • im watching it. im a kid! (well 15 but still!)

  • maybe that's because everybody goes straight to LFDH on the web rather than going via YouTube? it's over 4,300 as of today 2/9/2010... I think people tend to search by song title on YouTube so that can also account for the numbers... the search variables will thus fluctuate

  • i wish i could jam out live at daryl's house. All i know how to play is the violin......and i'm a bit out of touch. I'd brush up for one on one.

  • hall makes this song actually sound good

  • Hall makes EVERY SONG "sound good"...But this is a winner. It's a musical lyrical masterpiece non-the-less. Look into the Plain White T's and give 'em a proper listening ear.

  • Love these clips, favorited and in my playlist.

  • Really cool. i <3 Plain White T's!!!!!
